Warner has matured so much. Warner of 2010-17 would have lot of words to say back.
 
If Australia bat today and tomorrow and get a lead of 150, we're going to collapse on the final day. Then we'll watch Imam and Azhar twist their knickers and fold when it's time to save the match.

Hasan Ali would have also got smacked around here, same goes for Faheem. Nauman and Sajid are the only ones who might come into the picture, as the pitch is taking slight spin. Nauman has bowled absolute filth though, so I’m not sure Pakistan can stop leaking runs at this stage.
 
Am surprised Nauman was picked given how he could not pick a single wicket against Bangladesh in spin friendly conditions. Did someone expect him to perform magic against an elite team like Australia out of the blue?
 
The worst part of this test will be that everyone will consider Imam and Azhar back in form and they will be hard to drop in the next few tests. Shan Masood and Abid Ali are the right opening pair. Without Yasir and Hasan Ali in the bowling line up, I dont see Pakistan taking 20 wkts in Lahore or Karachi ether. Only Shaheen looked like a bowler who can trouble them.
 
It is a boring wicket with no help for the bowlers at all. Much like the old days when batsmen scored double centuries for fun on such wickets. If Pak scored almost 500 then the Aussies are certainly not gonna do any worse in such conditions. Nowadays we don't even have the likes of Shaqoor Rana to help us:)):)) I have been watching the Indian gals spanking our ones in the ladies world cup:ssa2.

Except we're playing in Pakistan and we will do better here.
 
We should focus on keeping the batsmen quiet. Wickets will come but we should make sure we get a decent lead in the first innings. Nauman should keep an end quiet and Shaheen/Naseem should attack from the other end. Hope Babar also plays some wild cards like he himself coming onto bowl to surprise the batsmen.

Warner doesn't sledge in a one-sided competition. He's carting these bowlers around and doesn't feel the need to use any mind games. When the competition gets fierce, that's when Warner gets confrontational. All too easy for him atm

If rain doesn't come, this could be another Melbourne 2016 in the making. Australia would look to pile up 650 by lunch on day 5 and then we'll crumble under pressure as usual.
 
Sajid's 12-for is going to do long term damage to Pakistan. He's such an innocuous bowler with no variety and no consistency.

Saqlain is a wanna be coach and lack of brain. If Nauman failed against Bangladesh on a spinning pitch why he is playing against Australia.
Ramiz has boastful mouth. All talk of foreign coaches and end up giving un-skilled Saqlain the top job, who is similar to Misbah.

There's one thing ever constant in Pakistan cricket and that is slips standing far too deep. Even to the spinners, the first slip is standing far too deep. It's like we have patented this.
 
Pakistan spin options for Tests have been affected by continuously promoting darters like Imad , Nouman etc

Bunch of losers. I love listening to Mohammad Hafeez, he makes perfect sense of what is wrong with Pakistan cricket.
 
You cant just keep playing back to fuller balls like that and on top of that, if you try to play square then your margin for error is pretty low. This was on the cards.

He's been the best at least today. He makes good changes in pace and lines.Absolutely nothing in this pitch to assist him

Why do the place a guy like Imam in the most dangerous fielding positions?

He gets injured so easily and makes it look so dramatic

Lyon doesn't really run through sides often. I think Australia would struggle more on a bunsen than Pakistan.

Consensus amongst Aussies seems to be we'd prefer getting smashed on a raging turner than having a draw on this type of pitch.

We don’t deserve to play against Australia at home if this is the mentality.

Naseem is such a useless and funny bowler. Whenever he goes for four and six it is treat to watch for us. Because Naseem Shah is GOAT in his own eyes. His behavior is also very poor with all the people around him.

This is not about selectors or coaches. Does Pakistan have any world class spinner? Does we have any fast bowlers for test apart from Shaheen and Hasan?
 
UAE was a blessing in disguise for us. We are struggling against Australia big time even though Australia come here after 24 years.

Sadab is far better bowler than Sajid. Even Fawad is better than useless Nauman. Abbas is far better than this hack Nasim. I have never seen any quality ball from this guy.
 
Need Yasir and Hassan back in this test team for these conditions. Naseem, Nauman and Sajid look like net practice bowlers.

Agree. Shadab will do well in this test team.
 
Good Twenty20 cricket being played by Australia. Australia's Twenty20 cricket is doing better than Pakistan's Test cricket.
 
Need to hammer Nauman and Nasim more so our dumb management may get the message.

Cant let smith settle here. Need to attack and get few more quick wkts. Then maybe look to see how it goes. Aussies might crumble if pak put them under pressure.

Don't be too hard on your bowlers in a match that's given 6 wickets in 8 sessions. You could land a plane on this pitch.
 
More than half the test has been played and only 6 wickets, most of them thrown away by well set batsmen. Feel for bowlers from both the sides.

Pak had entertaining result oriented pitches against visiting SA last time around, hope we get those kind of pitches in remaining two tests.
 
Naseem Shah is the most consistent bowler in the world.

Averaged 70 against Australia, England and New Zealand with an economy of 4+.

In this series, his economy is 4+ already. Let’s see if he can maintain his average of 70 now.

As expected. The Pak batting is an embarrassment. I expect Pak to lose all their matches with a third class batting side like that. India are contenders to win it. It was a no contest.
 
Reminds me of first 2 tests of India-Pak 2006 tour. YK, Moyo, Afridi, Sehwag, Dravid, Dhoni all made merry on those pattas, I remember that 400 runs opening partnership by Sehwag and Dravid, also Afridi's big 6s off Harbhajan.

Worst kind of pitches, at least green tops and rank turners are entertaining with lots of action and high stakes for both batsmen and bowlers throughout.
 
Those criticising wicket haven't Sl tests at the Ssc Colombo during late 90s and early 2000s

No disrespect to Pakistan attack but India can play fire with fire. Bumrah shami Ashwin are all world class with quality support from jadeja, Pakistan heavily rely on Shaheen and with no Hasan ali and no yasir shah, the attack looks very inexperienced.
 
Terrible pitch this...nothing for bowlers.

The pitch vs SA in 2nd test last year was the best, should've gone with something similar.
 
If Australia somehow manages to score 360 to 400 runs today..with 2 days left..than match is ON .Australia can put pressure on Pakistan
