We introduced Akif Javed against NZ last year , Gave him 3 matches and then sent him to Dust Bin. How many careers PCB has destroyed like this

Akif is a good new ball bowler but his problem is that he's erratic & absolutely is unable to handle pressure when attacked. It doesn't matter what phase of innings it is, the moment Akif is attacked he loses his marbles. That said, he should be in the mix as he's a better option than Rauf.

Red ball skills are crucial and Pak has been very lackadaisical in that hence the dearth of good fast bowlers. None of our fast bowlers can actually consistently hit a length & go to experimentation with all kinds of lengths.

I'm an Akif fan.

This isn't a judgment this is an analysis. The data for which is every match that Akif has played in leagues. He played BPL last year, the first two overs and even the third one would be excellent. The 4th one would almost always be terrible. Getting carted for 20+ runs by BD domestic players.

Ok, could be an outlier.

He played BBL this year as well. Same issue.

His performance in PSL has been the same. High economy and extras including no-balls.

His performance against Lions in the recently concluded tour followed the same pattern. Good over, then no balls, then capitulation when the batters attack him.

These are his current stats as of now. Is he talented? Exceptionally talented. Is he consistent? Absolutely not. Should he be in the ODI picture? Yes. Who should he replace? Haris. What should his role be? New ball and mid overs. No bowling after 45th over until he gets old ball skills.
