Bangladesh Fans defending their team's pathetic approach on cricinfo, sorry but playing for draw and not even trying to go for win can't be termed anything else but pathetic

But our all time great batting lineup has crumbled for 175 allout against a mediocre WI bowling attack on a flat track chasing a mere total of 250!! That too with 8 batsman and gazi at no. 9!!

But yes, this is some poor approach for our team. I think we could have chased this down. I would take 250-7 at the end of the day over 150-1

correction, not a part timer, but a bowler who I would not even pick over williamson

TI is such an overrated hack of a player for BD, couldn't even manage a damn 50 on a flat pitch after being dropped twice:)))

Geez the arrogance... When was the last time you actually beat a top tier nation (WI Board XI don't count)?..

Live in the present man, who cares about the past? Not me :amir

Current hot topic, The so called 'Great Kiwi' side can't even snatch a win against us? LOL

Who on earth called it great? :)))

It's promising and they will do better against the top tier teams who they rise for, it's not like they're like "Yeah lets go play the game of our lives against Bangladesh that will get us noticed"...

Lol Shakib suddenly deciding to go for it, I don't understand the mindset of these BD players or what their game plan is.

Lol Kiwis struggling against BD, rebuttal is BD's test achievements.
Lol despite achieving nothing you guys sure brag a lot..

Dickson: "I agree with the sentiments that Bangladesh have done well in this match, but there needs to be some perspective - this is not our best XI by any stretch. Martin and Sodhi should hopefully be rested come the second test, and hopefully we'll bring in both Wagner and Gillespie. A proper pace quartet, with Anderson and Williamson as the part timers backing them up, would be a much better option for Dhaka. Sodhi and Martin constantly let the pressure off, and that has made the examination of Bangladesh look better for them than it should be."

You did and how your bowlers are better than JImmy and Broady's crew. And always picking on a legendary swing bowler like Sir Jimmy Anderson, Jimmy is a match winner, Southee isn't. Bracewell is though, how he did it against the Aussies in Hobart.

Yeah Quite true, that has been the mentality thus the first nation to be clean sweeped in the odis and as Macca said it still hurts them. I guess England didn't take the Kiwis seriously but they managed a draw and the series will be forgotten as Kiwis couldn't snatch a win, but i have to see that was a fighting Test match. Good Effort.

Sodhi shouldn't even be in the team, I know you have a soft corner for him as you guys went to the same school, but he's too raw and bowls way too many full tosses. Against top nations he'll get smashed. :afridi

The only reason Sodhi is playing is because we're playing against you guys - that should really say it all.

This is his first match and he's 20

Gazi's first match was against Gayle and he was 21, he picked up 9 wickets in this debut. Sodhi on the other hand against a lowly ranked us, bowling full tosses after full tosses. It's either you have it or not.

Really? So you would have discarded Steyn after his first test?

You make it sound like leg spin is an easy art to master...

It's not and you need to have total control, if not you end up bowling full tosses, I myself am a leg spinner, and it takes time to develop deliveries and have total control. Sodhi needs 2 years or more, he'll end up half as good as Adil Rashid, but Rashid to be more talented and skilful. Sodhi will end his career in a low, just saying. Williamson is your best spinner :ajmal

Since you can see the future can you tell me this weeks lottery numbers? :afridi

NZ wins, a draw is moral victory as BD never seriously went for chase, good job NZ and BD as always pathetic team

I am pretty sure that Pakistan would have done the same thing if they were playing against SA.

regardless of a draw, Bangladesh have certainly been the better side. We did not drop any catches, we bowled ok and batted better than NZ.

NZ scored 469/10 and 270/7
BD 501 and 175ish for 3(or 4)

No doubt that we have had the upper hand. We deserved credit.

Tamim killed a lot of balls and going out in a pathetic manner, deserves to be sacked, but won't as his Uncle is the director now :farhat

Bangladesh outplayed us, but I have to say, even though you were on top of your game and we were off our game..

you still couldn't beat us :msd

even if we won

we still couldnt get 20 wickets :shakib

Good gesture from Kiwis to let Shakib score a fifty.

Sportsmanship spirit, there is a reason why NZ won fairplay award several times. Even our players are good. I remember when sibanda was on 99* and zim needed 1 run to win we made sure not to give any extras and let him score a century :)

Making fun of him, tell me when was the last time your team won a test match against a top tier nation? Pathetic stuff.

We are not Srilanka man and Shakib needed that, it was a good practice for him, next match against Sodhi and friends he'll score a triple ton :odoyo

Terrible pitch for test cricket. Credit for the way that Bangladesh competed but they still don't look like winning a test match.

Bang bros puffing their chests out after a boring draw.

Well done guys when you are 80 years old you can look back on it fondly.
