No kareena kapoor.
Heroine was a decent movie by her. Her acting in Talaash was not bad either.
Ferrari ki Sawari did not do great business if I am not wrong.

^^^^ Forgot Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin...would have definately added that somewhere in the list...brilliant song !!!! Jiya tu as well....Infact O womaniya, Keh Ke lunga.....electric piya...GOW has some good songs....If I had to make best music directors this year...Sneha Khanwalker would top it...GOW soundtrack was brilliant ...suited the movie to perfection.

Yeah..Kareena was good. Could make a case for her ...Talaash was nothing special..was a easy role for her..but she was great in heroine...

Ferrari ki did not do well...but it is a good movie I feel...

Sairyay is good from ek tha tiger but I will definitely add in mashallah as well. I have heard these two songs to a point of retirement. Most played songs in my car.
 
I would put piya o re piya by atif and shreya in my top 5 songs of the year...atif's voice is so soothing to ears .
 
@navroks123 what about Richa Chadda in GOW 1 and 2 I though she was prefect in that role, way better than most of the actress you have mentioned #biased
 
Yeah she was great...I forgot her!! but She debuted with oye lucky lucky oye couple of yrs back...yeah she was great in Gow and easily a case can be made for one of the better actresses this year...after sridevi and balan
 
yeah he was awesome in kahaani...more than talaash. but I think Irfan khan had a graph to his character in paan singh which he potrayed brilliantly...
 
Why is Paan Singh better than Kahaani? I haven't watched it, that's why asking. And whats it about, I don't want to watch it if it's a bollywood rom com or anything.
 
Paan Singh Tomar was based on life of an ex-army man, who becomes a dacoit in Chambal. I have spend some time of my childhood in that area and people still hold him in high esteem. More or less the Tigmanshu Dhulia has been true to the real life incidents and have not deviated much, it is a fact that he used to take cover behind cow while running and MP Police refused to shoot on cow. They had to call Gurkha's to take him down.
 
^^^^^ I do not know how to answer that question...Two very different Genres. One is a biography and other is a thriller...Paan Singh Tomar is a very well made movie..and it perfectly does what it suppose to do..tell a story of man and make you connect to the man...acting was top notch......I thought dialogues were fantastic....Give it a try..you will definitely like it..!!! Not many videos in youtube....Watch these two...you will get an idea !!

Utter garbage, absolute nonsense from start to finish. Had to watch it because of the girlfriend but if you have the option DO NOT PAY to watch this crap. I am so pissed that I wasted money and time on this cinamatic FAIL.

The first one wasn't bad but this one is not even comparable to the first one. It has no script, no direction bad editing and to make it even worse the music is awful.
 
Chennai Express -- First Look-- Get Reddy for Cars blowing up...over the top Rohit Shetty Film. I hope they do not make fun of Tamilians like SRK did in Ra.one !!! Deepika :heart: Will be nice to her in South Indian attire....

I am pretty sure the movie will be Over the top...Illogical....Cars flying....Colors that will hurt your eyes...hopefully it will be fun atleast like Rohit Shetty's "Golmaal 1" and "All the best"

he is coming with that movie on 26/11 ...there is a thread on that. other that all his recent movies have been bad...you may watch "its not a love story" or "Raktha Charithra I & II " if interested...his only decent movie after Rann...both extremely violent and at adult scenes too.

Looks Bad..and they are just exploiting the franchise by making movies in .....Probably the reason why Emraan Hashmi opted out of this....Randeep Hooda is just getting wasted ....heroine..Jism 2..and now this :facepalm:...he is a talented actor....

No hopes for this movie....should be last Murder !!!Vishesh Films is master of making money out of a hit movie....Jism ,Jism 2, Raaz 1, 2 and 3...Jannat 1 and 2.....now they are making Ashiqui 2 also :D

Btw...there is a pakistani actress in the movie...Sara Lohen (at some places it is written as Mona Liza)...

Some where in 2013....Aditya Roy Kapoor ( that student in Guzarish ) and Shradha Kapoor (shakti Kapoor's daughter ) are the actors...Mohit Suri is directing it (director of Kalyug and Murder 2 )...

yaa...Ashiqui had brilliant songs...Dheere Dheere....Saanson ki jarurat...others were great as well...

Kumar Sanu is not present in Ashiqui 2..I just checked...Music is by Jeet Ganguly(any idea who he is ??)

No...Deepika is from Tamil Nadu. Shahrukh is playing a north indian guy...

Most people who know malayalam know Tamil...from what I saw..but strangely the reverse is not true..apparently malayalam is very hard !!!!

Aamir Khan's next movie (Leaving Dhoom 3 )..is called Peekay...directed by Raj Kumar hirani (director of Munna Bhai series and 3 Idiots)....not sure if he is playing a psychiatrist though..but aamir said ..it is not a comedy movie like directors previous film..but a very serious film !! anushka is the actress...

BTW, any good movies recommended? Only good recent movies that came out were burfi, english vinglish and one random movie with ayesha taki and the guy from roadies who has a ******* (dont want to spill the beans for someone who hasnt watched the movie yet-and dont know the name of the movie).

I still have to watch Amir's talasah, but someone told me the ending so dont know if its worth watching it..

from last year....if you havent seen already.....Kahaani, Vicky Donor...Gangs of wasseypur I and II....Oh My God are all very good films ....other than that there are some routine masala fares like Dabangg 2 which are crap!!! You can try..Ishaqzaade as well...
 
I had heard of that song..i have lots of youtube experience under my belt,,one thing unique about stars in south is that each gets his own name by his fans.. pawan kalyan becomes power star, cheeranjeevi mega star, mahesh babu prince, prabhas rebel star..mega powerstar ram charan teja..

one thing i dont understand...why do these actresses wear hollywood style dress..all those shoulder less and fancy cuts here and there, come on, normal girls in india dont wear all that..a top and jeans is common, but what is all this Cinderella dresses..like a poor man's hollywood actress.. have some dignity and go desi instead of being wannabes.
 
^^^^ JEans and Tee is too common for a function......Saree is for old:D...many actress wore like What Genelia wore in the above Pic....What has dignity anything to do with dress??? There is no hollywood style dress...Jeans and Tee are not traditional Indian either.....Few hollywood people wore sarees last year in their award functions......It is a dress...no need to do your style pyschological analsys....people dress according to the occassion!!! even Shahrukh's Bow tye...Shirt....shirt ..coat all are western too !!!!! Nothing wrong in following stuff from others if you like it....infact it is your inferiority creeping in when you say..poor man's hollywood !! why is hollywood rich...based on dress??

not about being western or not..but what is normally worn by indians. jeans, tee, shirt, coat are all of western origins, but they are common dresses now in india.. but the kind of dresses these actresses wear, it is not even worn by 1%.. it is all about aping hollywood...most bollywood stars except shahrukh (another reason why i love him) have some inferiority complex regarding hollywood..they want to dress like hollywood stars.. perhaps it makes them feel superior.. if it was not about aping hollywood then why dont we ever see them wearing a kimono, or a arabic cloak, or dress from any non western country.

Why this standard only for women? So Bollywood Actors should also wear Indian traditional dress for functions, sounds sexist to me that only women are the torch bearers of Indian tradition.
 
Huma Qureshi is a true indian with self respect and doesnt need to wear all these cinderella and disney style dress.. saree and salwaar kameez has so much variety.. you can have it sleeveless, full but transparent sleeves, partially transparent..banarasi, kancheepuram, mysore silk saree..i mean, if hollywood people can do so much with less clothes, why cant we innovate with more clothes..even they copy our ethnic designs, but our actresses seem to have some inferiority complex wearing them..of course not all like vidya baalan.

Do you think people in america wear those long cindrella type dresses everyday?Infact even for their marriage...maximum number of people rent it...nobody wears those kind of dresses even in america...except when their a function...like a ball room or stuff like these...even award ceremonies. So if a certain dresses get that name as dresses that are wore to parties like these they wear it....it is not about people wearing it on a daily basis......and it definately is not about aping bollywood ...And infact We have been influenced by the british.....if you go back to the 1950's movies..and even function ...you see these kind of dresses way back in the day even when media was not that evident..and we did not ape people. I personally will not equate picking up something you like as anything related to inferiority...it just comes with the society. Anyway..off topic !! we had similar discussions ranging from what people eat to dress..and everything for you has to do with inferiority..where as I think people dress the way they dress...coz they like to dress..or it is the way people dress to functions. Christian weddings from times immemorial have the same dress.....anyway !!! lets us not prolong this...I have mademy point..and you made yours!!

not about wearing traditional vs western..but what is worn by indians and what is not worn by indians. indian women and men wear a lot of western clothes..but these actresses wear stuff that no one wears..the kind we see normally worn by hollywood actresses.

I can google..Huma Qureshi in western outfits...Vidya Balan in western outfits....is everything in the world related to inferiority for you???Insane man....infact you have the feeling that we are inferioir..so as long as we take something from others....you negate by saying that people who do that inferior !!!! People dress differently at different times....

So if some people prefer/like western dresses more? They aren't entitled to their personal choices?
 
navroks, you may not agree..but what people wear is influenced by what they aspire to be...the british brought western style clothing to us..and the elite were the first adopters..by wearing what the british were wearing and doing what the british did, like clubbing, ball room dancing they were aspiring to be like their masters..and therefore our clothing got categorised as those worn by the elite and those worn by the paindoos.. and now it is normal..we wear a jeans or a suit without thinking that we are apeing someone, we are only wearing what is now common for us.. but these bolly actresses are doing exactly what the elite in india did when it wanted to be like the british...and therefore wearing all dresses worn by hollywood stars...they make the fashion, and we copy.

Okay..you are just blabbering now !!!!!! may be....just like we were jeans with out thinking we are aping...may be these bollywood actress think they are not aping some one..wearing dresses like these are normal for functions..coz they have been doing that for last 40 to 50 years now..since madhubala !! does that make sense to you???
 
by wearing ethnic indian dress, they(hollywood actresses) are not displaying inferiority complex..but showing that they are comfortable and confident and want to try something new.. and there is a difference, they will wear anything to look different..dress from any country..because they dont aspire to a particular culture...but in our case it is only western clothing that is copied, because they aspire to be like them..you will never see a bollywood actress wearing a kimono at a function.

Fine....Just try to think normally once in a while. Everything people do..is not for impressing someone..or for aping someone...people do have a conscious...they do it coz they like it..or want to like it..or because everybody does....I am pretty sure every actress out there wore those dress because it is common for those dresses to be worn in a function...

even in usa..nobody wears those dresses on faily basis...but people do when they go to parties....it is like a code !!!! Do not try to judge people and do a character analysis....based on simpler things in life..you will be peacefull and others will be left peacefull...nobody wants to be judged for trivial things in life...there is too judgement out there already!! just my 2 cents...
 
Btw Gentleman, don't quit your day job because there's more to psychology than inferiority complex. Looks like that's the only psycho analysis you're accustomed to but there's more to phsycology than that and it would help you to learn more about it and it is complex. Cannot be analysed on the internet.
