Heard Its good. Havent released where I live.

A friend of mine said it is quite similar to Menon's previous Cop movies ....and second half is better than the first half.
 
Its been 18 years today since Judwaa released...movie was hillarious. One of my fav from 90s...even more so because it was a remake of a telugu movie 'Hello brother' which is one of my all fav comedies...

Great songs too.

Wonder why Rambha did not succeed much in Bollywood..she was a huge star pretty much complete 90s in south Indian cinema.

not only her beauty, her acting is also overrated. she looks like a cat and is very stiff while dancing. but she made a wise move and got absorbed in the bachchan family because she became a discount bond.
 
The Ageist, sexist remarks is baffling...but I would let the people troll !!!! Beauty is subjective...so that is all right....but other remarks almost feel like are coming uneducated idiots on the streets spitting pan...but then why am I suprised..its the usual suspects who are just troll with no meaningfull contributions to any discussion other than make up stories or be against the stream just for the sake it. Go ahead.

She is cool...not a brilliant actress..carries herself well..choose good movies once in a while..and is trying to be back to her career after taking care of her and her daughter for 3 to 4 years...so kudos to that !! I would like to see more 40+ women be sucesffull in bollywood..which is ageist medium for women...so if its sucessfull..it only going to pay way for more 40+ actresses..and writers to write more roles for them and interesting ones. So..she had a great career..and I hope she continuous to do so...
 
Any news about Vivek Oberoi he has done some great work like Maaya in Shootout at Lokhandwala and that role in Krish also there is a sequel of Ab tak 56 coming

and what about Hera Phera 4 will Paresh rawal be there

Vivek Oberoi was doing great till he got too ambitious for himself. Snatched Salman Khan's then gf (the feline beauty aishwarya), and also held a press conference that Salman threatened him. It was proven to be a lie later and he apologized, but by then he lost favour from many. And an actor who used to give solo hits now has to be a part of multi cast movies, doing almost B level movies. If only he had stayed humble and not become too ambitious and take panga with Sallu bhai.

Ayushman Khurana, another flop actor. And yet another superstitious idiot who thinks adding few letters to his name will bring luck to him. Bollywood is full of such idiots who add/remove letters and visit some temple or dargah so that their movies dont flop. But what to expect from an industry which even starts its first movie shot with a muhurat.
 
Guys, if you get a chance...watch this movie called Ankhon Dekhi...directed by Rajat Kapoor..starring Sanjay Mishra..its brilliant ! One of the best movies I have seen lately. Movie is in netflix streaming..

Ashraful Haque has passed...A RamGopal Varma Find...was a regular in lot of movies made by Varma in the 90s and Varma's proteges like Anurag Kashyap later on the 2000's...A very talented actor. Company was probably his best in terms of role. Has a 9 yr old son...Anurag Kashyap said he is will be taking care of the kid from now on...not sure about the family.

Who is this actor? face looks familiar but don't remember any stand out performance. And why is anurah kashyap publicising that he will take care of his son? Looks like some people don't let go of any opportunity to publicise themselves.
 
Lol..he was not publicizing. He said, he and Ashraful were great friends from their struggling days to days they were working under varma and they are like Family...and he feels responsible to take care of his family now. he did not say anything else.

He was there in lot of movies...Compay, Sarkar, Jungle, Paan Singh Tomar, Fukrey, Road, Aag on top of my head...

Oh, ok. then it is fine. I was needlessly being cynical. Good from Anurag.

I have seen most of those movies except fukrey and RGV ki aag, and don't recall him in any scene. Looks like he was a side actor with very little dialog footage.
 
yeah, you can say that. He plays small pivotal roles...I think Fukrey was a role. In Company, he is the guy who assists operations in Mumbai when Vivek Oberai is hiding in Kenya.
 
Badlapur Getting Mindblowing reviews... 3.5 to 4.5..all of them.

Everybody is praising Nawaz, Varun and saying Sriram Raghavan is back to his johnny gaddar and ek hasina thi type moves !

hopefully can catch it this weekend....

You should see him in Khosla ka Ghosla, Maine Gandhi ko Nahin Mara, Well done Abba. He was incredible in 3 Idiots as well...remember the scene where Kareena Breaks down about her brother...

He is an awersome actor..but unfortunately these days he is doing roles in popular movies which do not require actor of his calibre. He is no ordinary actor.

Hi is an ordinary actor. Maybe awesome by Copywood standards. He is a clown.
 
Yep commercial films have ruined his image but he is a class actor, especially with regards to comic relief, even in a film like Main Hoon Na :))

Badlapur Review

One of the wierd twisted tales seen in bollywood. Movie goes through similar pace through out and very consistent in its subtle treatment inspite of the stuff that is happening. Also has a subtle message in the end that somewhere somebody has to stop. I felt like the movie should have had better pace...and probably a little more hard hitting in terms of treatment.

Acting was top Class. Nawazuddin Siddique was pick all of them. Divya Dutta, Huma Qureshi, Vinay Pathak stand out. It was great to see Radhika Apte after a well..she is beautifull and acts well..did not get her due to so far. Liked her in Raktha Charithra and Shor in the city. Varun Dhawan was good...you could see the inexperiance in a few scenes..but overall he carried the intense role Well.

Wont see it is sriram Raghavan's best work...it was missing the riveting performanc of Urmila in Ek Hasina thi..and nor was it as slick as Johnny Gaddar.

Overall a good movie.

One word for this movie: Bakwaas.
Request everyone not to watch this movie, even if you get free tickets ( I watched because my bank gifted me coupons for movies).

Went expecting a revenge thriller, but got a boring and confused plot instead. Too many holes in the plot. Acting was awful. Varun Dhawan cannot act. Even Shikhar Dhawan can act better. Yami Gautam, thankfully, had no role. She should stick to her racist fair and lovely ads. Nawazuddin was fun at times. But the fun was not because he mouthed off great lines, but because it is funny to see a person with half a liver threaten others and act macho. Fat Huma Qureshi should not try to look sexy, doesn't suit her. And I noticed that ugly fatso from AIB in the initial scenes. What was he doing in the movie?

Now coming to the plot. It is an absolutely misogynist movie. The so called hero is shown sexually assaulting an innocent woman just because he wants his revenge from her boy friend. Then he humiliates and later kills another innocent woman. Such scenes and plots getting glorified and justified in a country where violence against women is a big problem, shows the moral depravity of bollywood. Varun Dhawan, having six packs and growing a beard doesn't make you an actor. You suck.

Horrible classless and despicable movie. 0/10
 
^^^ I know you are trolling ! but if thats u r reason...you do not have IQ or an EQ to watch a movie.Period It was not a black and white movie...it was a movie with grey characters...and that is whay Nwaz does what he does in the end..to give varun a second chance.and Movie is not mysogynist, the characters are. And Varun dhawan is not HERO...but a normal character...who due to circumstances has become a grey individual ....you probably should comeback to the new age of movies where there is no HERO !

Oh yes, I got that the real hero was Nawazuddin. He was the good guy, and Varun Dhawan the bad guy. But this is India, a country with a big problem in terms of violence towards women, and a country were most people are not mature. So when the lead actor is shown doing such despicable things, with music and songs drawing sympathy towards his cause, the message is clear: that violence against women is justified in revenge.

Anyway, you can carry on promoting and liking this movie. I don't have anything else to say on this.

Lol. Okay. But then all movies are not made to the lowest common denominator. And they are not going to watch the movie anyway....anyway...I do not want to spoil the movie by having a dicussion here. The thing is Varun is not a good guy later in the movie....Movie shows how run of a mill joe's can become cruel people due to few issues...anyway ! And Nawaz was a not good guy...but a guy with his faults, vulnerabilities...among some bad stuff he does in heat of the moment.

Oh mister, I watched the movie in a Lucknow multiplex, among the most expensive seats, and the way people were whistling and clapping when Varun Dhawan was humiliating that innocent woman made me angry. It is easy for you to sit in the USA and pass judgement, but here in India, even average person is the lowest common denominator, the ones who go to multiplex and enjoy scenes were woman are assaulted. Carry on promoting such things and good luck to you. I am going to sleep.

And then I though movie watching is personal....I did not now that people take into account what a certain person who does domestic violence into account while reviewing how good a movie is. A Movie with lot of goodness in it is not a good movie.

Infact this movie is actually real...it has amazing interactions between characters..their vulnarabilities...how they change..exchange between mother and nawaz and last dialogue he says to her...the police character 's change in the end due to his retirement and as he sees his life after......and lot of the things. That is how movies should be...layered and complex and grey.

This movie was such a wanna be intellectual . Such bakwass.
 
Watched badlapur.Just another one of those meaningless bwd movies which tries too hard to imitate hwd..Varun dhawan simply can't act and don't understand the hype around nawazuddin..Seems like an okayish actor,nothing special or maybe my iq is too low to appreciate his acting skills.Overall a boring movie which could have been better had they cast a better actor for lead role.Songs were nice though.
