I really hope Canelo does take on GGG as that would be a great fight to watch, Garcia v Khan would be an excellent fight as well.

Its time eddie hearn got him a decent fight or he should change promoters.

Its time eddie hearn got him a decent fight or he should change promoters.

Can't always blame the promoter, he was with Frank Warren before that and still hadn't fought a pulse.

He should take Khan as an example, Virgil, Haymon and his team advised him not to take the fight. At the end of the day it's down to the fighter, and Brook has a lot to answer for himself.

Groves v Murray fight should be the highlight of a pretty poor card put together by eddie hearn as usual. The loser of this fight should pretty much retire.

Thurman v porter in the US will be a fight worth watching as well and we might seeing the future of the welterweight division being shaped a little bit more.

Both above predictions proved correct by AJ.

Groves v Murray was the fight off the night on a poor card, matchroom conning the public as usual. Groves did well to win the fight dominated apart from a couple rounds where Murray was coming back. Warrior stuff by Murray though he ate a hell a lot of shots and kept going even though he was wobbled numerous times. Think he should have come more forward early on which he did in the later rounds, could have been a different story. Says he will be back and not the end of the road, who is he gonna fight though? At best a domestic level fighter. In all honesty although he done the job, Groves is not a much higher level fighter than Murray. Made his name off the Froch fights, beat degale but degale is a much better fighter than he was.

AJ done the job although a lot later than people expected, brezeale was durable took a lot of what AJ was throwing at him but we all knew the end result just a matter of when and lights out in round 7. Who next for AJ mandatory kiwi Parker? Would be a good test. Still not ready for a Fury though, Tyson would have him and his cousin hughie would give him a tough fight. Don't see that happening till maybe next summer or beyond. We will see the real AJ v a more technically sound boxer that is his real test, brezeale could take a punch or two but gave hardly anything back to trouble AJ only difference between him and Charles Martin was that he could take some shots absolutely nothing else. Eddie Hearn is milking it all for all its worth conning the masses, a couple more bad shows and even the public will start to click on as stupid as they are lol

Porter Thurman looked a thrilling fight caught some highlights not watched full fight yet but looked a real entertaining toe to toe fight. Thurman said he would give porter the rematch which was good at least these 2 wanna give fights the fans wanna see!

Fury V the robot postponed till October now due to fury spraining his ankle, was looking forward to the fight!

Also talk of some substance detected from Furys samples from a year ago before the klitchsko fight, which hennesey, frank and fury have all rubbished. I think it's bull too considering fury has been vocal against steroid abuse and the sorts

Porter v thurman has to be the best fight of the year so far, both of the fighters gave it there all and i was impressed with thurman being to prepared to actually stand and trade at times with porter as in the past hes tended to get his shots of and then be evasive. I think thurman would be danny garcia if he fought him next.

Thurman v spence jr or brook would make for an excellent fight and some good match ups can be made in the division.

Parker v AJ is supposidly up next which would make for a good fight, parker isnt the greatest defensively but does have good hand speed and decent amount of power so he would atleast look to hit and do some damage back to AJ.

Also i hope the GGG v eubank fight is made its time eubank the arrogant fool got blasted out, its all well and good show boating against mediocre domestic level fighters, completely different when you get in the ring with some one 3/4 levels above the dross you have been fighting.

I honestly can't believe the Eubanks actually believe he will beat GGG. Who did he fight sat night Duran who is he? Lol u think that's a stepping stone for a fight with the best in the division. I think eubank Snr is trying to be clever with this, instead of Jnr trying to avenge the billy joe Saunders defeat he says we will beat the best then go backwards and clean the division. They know when they lose to GGG it isn't really the end as GGG is no mug. If they come calling for billy joe after he should tell them to get lost.

The 147 divison looks good, think spence Jnr will clean it up once big fights are made spence Jnr v Thurman would be a great fight and I hope if brook finally finds the courage to fight any top fighter at 147 rather than mention khans name, he gets put to sleep! Seriously annoying guy don't see him beating any of spence Jnr thurman garcia.

It's GGG vs Brook - Septemeber 10.

Only one winner and it's not Brook imo.

Not really a huge boxing fan but I hope that GGG absolutely destroys that overrated tool Kell Brook.

Brook will get smashed, I would be surprised if he believes otherwise himself! Finally this is his chance of a payday having been living on crumbs while spouting out Khans name for nearly a decade

No lose fight for him, he loses, makes some £££, slips back down to welter where he still holds his belt. Job done

Good to see Brook finally grow a pair and fight someone decent, I doubt he'd have stepped in the ring with GGG were it not for Khan whom proved that you can take a risk and still come out a fight without hurting your stock even if a loss is on the cards. Brook is a HUGE welterweight though and the difference in weight won't be as big as Khan/Canelo. I actually think Kell will do okay in the fight.

Terrific performance from Frampton, am surprised there isn't as much hype about a fighter who is arguably amongst the P4P best in the world. Am looking at all you MatchRoom Sympathisers ahem Amjid Javed

Galal Yafai of Birmingham wins his 1st fight at the Olympics and progresses to the next stage, hopefully he can medal. Other prospects include British Pakistanis Qais Ashfaq (Bantaweight) and Flyweight Muhammad Ali (No pressure!!). There's also talented female competitors in Marshall and Nicola Adams (Whom the most is expected after a stellar year having won gold in every amateur competition she has ever participated in)

Am actually a huge framton fan and i expected him to beat quigg and santa cruz which he has done, hes a very unrated fighter and a very intelligent and excellent boxer. Santa cruz v frampton is easily fight of the year so far and hats off to both fighters for putting on a great show.

Also am not a fan of match room boxing or eddie hearn, i rate many of the boxers under that banner or any of the shows they tend to put together

Ward vs Kovalev is 100% confirmed now and will occur in November, winner of that fight is the no.1 P4P fighter on the planet for me. I'd pick ward any day of the week but he has been inactive for a long time and this is his first biggest challenge, how big a factor will you reckon it will play against a beast like Kovalev?

Tough fight to call.

I think Kovalev's jab will allow him to control distance better than any previous Ward opponents. However, I do think Kovalev is susceptible to a classy counter puncher but Ward's lack of power my negate this.

I expect a dirty fight but one which will be more interesting from a technical and tactical point of you rather than exciting brawl.

I haven't seen much of either in the last few years, so I'm planning on watching their last few fights again before I call it.

I think the Hopkins-Kovalev fight holds a few clues.

Ward has been inactive for a long period and ever since has fought bums to shake of ring rust so that doesn't tell us much about where he stands as a fighter but from what I've seen in those fights, Ward was a lot smarter when it comes to his work-rate and his movements weren't as active as they typically were at SMW but he remained incredibly slick and retains the same aura as a counter puncher.

Kovalev fought Chilemba who was a better opponent to face in preparation for a fight against Ward, he didn't look great and Chilemba to his credit has decent boxing ability. Maybe it was to do with the pressure of the occasion, first world title fight in Russia and the support from the fans was incredible, it was also the same arena where he killed Simakov and I believe it was the first time he had fought there. On top of that the Ward fight had been signed already and I think he was looking too far ahead and didn't prepare as well as he could have for his fight vs Chilemba but if he fought the same way against Ward I believe he'd lose.

Ward's lack of power will be his downfall. He would have to put an absolute masterclass to win this.

Kovalev has a decent chin to but Ward is one hell of a boxer, am slightly edging towards Andre because I always back the fighter with superior boxing skills not that am taking anything away from Kovalev who I believe will be the favourite given his decent boxing ability to go along with his immense power. Kovalev has also been a lot more active then Andre Ward and better prepared having fought Chilemba

miandadrules London_Lahori Kovalev v Ward is confirmed, who you got guys?

Ward, 8 rounds to 4. The guy is incredible, he'll nullify anything Kovalev has. Stick and move, I don't see Kovalev doing much of note, will win rounds only because he comes forward.

Ward usually resorts to a lot of holding wrestling and even the odd cheeky head butt against fighters who he knows have a power and cause him problems, will those tactics work against kovalev? i dont know, ward to me still looks ring rusty and doesnt look like the fighter he was a few years ago, yes hes got slick movement and decent hand speed and accuracy and rarely loses to many rounds in a fight due to way he boxers but his lack of power means will he be able to keep kovalev off him? Kovalev has some serious power and we will see how good wards chin or body really easy when he gets hit. also i hope we get a decent referee who doesnt allow the usual ward spoiling tactics, this wont be a great fight to be honest but it will be between to top quality boxers.

Picking a winner is to tough to call.

Andre Ward will win and rank as the undisputed no.1 P4P fighter on the planet

Kovalev is more than just power. He has solid fundamentals.

You don't outpoint even a 50 year old Hopkins just with power.

I personally think Rigondeaux is P4P number 1 by some distance regardless of the outcome of this fight.

I wouldn't step in the ring with that guy even with a gun :))) you could definitely make a case for him. I've been a fan of Ward, during his prime at SMW he beat everyone there was but never got enough credit (possible due to his style and lack of trash talk) and to beat a beast like Kovalev and factoring in his past wins I'd put him as no.1 based on that but no disrespect to Rigondeaux. The only guy who I think is incredibly overrated is Canelo in the P4P list

impressive win by Errol Spence jnr at weekend, hes now number 1 contender for brooks IBf title, lets see if brooks fights him after hes been destroyed by GGG.

Brook is only fighting GGG due to the big pay day and also because his stock won't take a hit after he loses the fight, Brook will then go back to fighting "mandatory" bums and seek trilogies with no no dan and frankie gavin. Errol Spence threatens Brook's career so he won't fight him.

Brook has already said in interview that if fans want him to fight spence then he will as he sees that is a big fight, but lets see what brooks head is like after hes been bashed by GGG.

Brook and Matchroom will talk all kinds of garbage but they will rarely back up their words with action and their track record is not great either. The weight difference won't be as significant as it was between khan/Canelo, Brook is a BIG welterweight and will be the most skillful fighter GGG has ever faced. GGG will win by late stoppage but I won't be surprised if Brook manages to last 12 rounds.

Lol I hope you made the same argument for Khan when he fought Canelo ;) ...

For the record I agree...this is a safe fight for Kell...him not fighting Spence would be the equivalent of Khan not fighting him...

Kell and Khan went for the money...and the fact there was no risk to their legacies by losing...GGG though is a much much better opponent than Canela...

Another difference is I have absolutely no issue with GGG taking this fight...while I did with Canela...Canela chose the easiest option in Khan...and is still continuing to duck GGG...

GGG has actually looked for legitimate fights and everyone has backed down...the Eubanks, Canela and BJS...Jacobs wants no part etc...fact is Brook was the only fighter willing to fight GGG so no qualms with GGG for taking this fight...

I can see brook giving it a good go against GGG for 6 rounds or so before been knocked out or the towel thrown in, GGG will slowly break down Kell as the fight goes on.

We will see the most gutsy performance from a British fighter on these shores in decades, Kell is going to the shock the world

Is Tyson Fury v the Klit even happening? I had enough! sent my tickets back Junaids it also didn't help that the fight would be in your beloved Manchester, ewwwww just ewwwwwww!!!

Your views: Kell Brook v Gennady Golovkin

This is a huge fight tonight at the o2 in London. Welterweight World champ Kell Brook is unbeaten in 36 fights and Gennady Golovkin is the WBC and IBF World champ with 32 knockouts in 35 fights including all of the past 22 by knockout. Golovkin is known as the hardest puncher in boxing today. It is a massive fight for Brooke as he is moving up 2 weight divisions for this fight. If Brook can do it then will surely be the greatest achievement for a Brit in Boxing.
What do the PP boxing guys think?

It would arguably be one of the greatest individual achievements by a Brit Boxer no doubt. He is moving up two weight divisions but Kell Brook is a huge welterweight and the transition won't affect him as much because he's a big dude. GGG is not just one of the hardest punchers in boxing, he has one of the best chins in the business and tremendous boxing ability which tends to get underrated (Watch his fight vs David) due to his KO %, also was a former Olympic Silver medallist.

But as GGG is the most avoided fighter in the world today Kell is probably his toughest opponent. The weight won't be that big a deal and Kell is a good A/R boxer; he moves well, decent chin, decent power and can make the fight dirty when needed to get the job done.
