Many people calling Ortiz / Alexander a robbery lmao it was a close action packed fight, I felt Devon won but people seem to love moaning for the sake of it; they would have you believe that Ortiz lost every round. Both performed very courageously when they had a lot to prove, both showed a lot of heart an skill. The 147 division is so packed. It's scary how Amir dominated Devon who is a very very skilful fighter, he just bumped into him at the wrong time when he was his absolute peak

Devon is technically one of the best in many years within his decision , i was too surprised how well Khan boxed him .

Any predictions for Kell Brook tonight ?

The only thing am annoyed about is Amir had the chance to face Devon when he was world champion but didn't transpire because he was trying to get Floyd to face his mandatory which was Amir and then Devon would lose his world title to Porter before facing Amir. Had the fight happened a year earlier then it did Amir would have been a two weight world champion. But despite that it remains one of his best wins ever and my favourite perfomance of his career because of his shear dominance, am not surprised it scared Floyd of; if I was Floyd I wouldn't have faced Khan after that fight either. I remember Floyd saying Devon is the future of US boxing given his amazing skills and then when Amir beat him and everyone wanted him to face Amir he started belittling Khan even though he destroyed a guy who he rated so highly.

Hard to say mate, not sure what Kells mental state is but on paper I expect him to get the win

I've never hated Kell but just don't rate his career as highly compared to others, he has always had talent but one thing which I have personally questioned long before his defeats was his heart. Have followed his career from an early stage and he may not be my favourite but I do wish him well and hope he gets the win and Amir next month as well to set up a potential fight down the line.

There weren't any real questions asked but Kell has got the job done, that upper cut has always been his best punch and while the right cross got the KO the upper cut did the most damage. He ought to have more power at 154 but this win doesn't tell us a lot.

Wilder is extremely overhyped.
Far more over hyped then Joshua.

Joshua would destroy him as would Fury, even in his current condition.

Wilder is no where near as hyped as Joshua mate, in fact he is the most scrutinised heavyweight champion of them all and Americans have generally not got behind him. Now he's not the most technically sound fighter out there but he won an Olympic medal which shows he has ability and there's a method to his madness, there is no one out there who has that one punch KO power like him and am afraid that AJ wouldn't last more then 7-8 rounds. Peak Fury would definitely school Wilder though but I'd give Wilder more of a chance to beat Fury then I would give AJ.

As for the recent fight I had it even before the KO but Ortiz expectedly looked very good, many demanded this fight for a while and it would have happened a lot earlier had Ortiz not failed his drug tests. Ortiz with his fantastic amateur background from the cuban system depicted a very good in-ring IQ, controlled distance and used his feet beautifully. Wilder did well to remain patient but he struggled to establish his jab and that's not going to be easy against a very skilled southpaw, AJ has never fought a southpaw let alone one of Ortiz calibre, when Wilder was able to beat Ortiz at the Jab he was able to use his right but got overconfident in the 7th and was made to pay big time but showed a lot of heart to withstand that barrage before finishing Ortiz of in the end. We need to finally give Wilder some credit, he beat one of the best in the division after some hiccups

AJ doesn't have one punch KO power, he has good power and ok fundamentals but he walks in straight lines an is extremely orthodox and premeditates his offence. But he tends to use his size to overwhelm his opponents. Wilder has better movement and power. This is why Joshua will not face Wilder anytime soon.

IMMY69 I would give you a good shot against Fury in his current condition to be fair :))

Ortiz was kidnapped but he still managed to escape communist cuba to make it to the US border, when he came he had quit athletics and his goal was to work to pay for his daughters treatment who has special needs. Wilder also has a daughter with special needs and he gave Ortiz an oppourtunity even after the failed tests in the past, there's a respect between them and it was great to see the two embrace at the end, this is what Boxing is all about.

I disagree. Wilder isn't technically a good boxer, and that means his reach isn't really much of an advantage, and his defence is poor. But he's very fast in both hand speed and on his feet, and that combined with his power makes him very dangerous. The one question mark which has been raised against him has been his chin, but it held up pretty well this morning.

The current heavyweight division is exciting, but not exactly high quality. I think Joshua could easily end up KO'd by Wilder, his own chin looked suspect against Klitscho.

Yeah pretty much agree with all of that. Ortiz surprised me, he was bigger than I thought, not having seen him before I assumed he would get dwarfed by Wilder's height, but that wasn't the case. He's not the quickest on his feet, but he is a smart boxer with decent technique, not to mention some good power. I don't think Joshua would enjoy facing him.

Ortiz is a bit of an engima, you may have been misled by his stats. No one actually knows his physical attributes properly or his age, I thought his footwork was fantastic and control of range, the cuban amateur background really showed. Was on his toes for most of the fight and you're right Joshua wouldn't fancy him at all and I'd have my money on Ortiz if they fought tomorrow. He is allegedly in his late 40s now, he finally got his title shot last year after many fighters ducking him in the division including Wladmir but failed a test but got through all of that to make a nice pay day last night but he's no spring chicken and allegedly very ancient so this may have been his final hurrah.

Gents,
To be honest i’ve seen very little of Wilder other then quick highlights.
This fight against Ortiz was his first fight I saw in its entirety.

I think a younger Ortiz would have taken him down.
That 8th round, when Wilder was there for the taking, Ortiz just didn’t for the kill, whether he was out of gas or age just fought up with him..

I think Joshua would take him in this performance. But hey that’s just my opinion.

I hope we’ll get to see it.

His opponent looked an absolute bum! Unfit, not motivated and was knocked out before he really raised his fits. This will give Brook some confidence but he needed a better workout imo.

Wilder is not difficult to work out, he keeps at a distance with his long arms, uses the jab to help him and is always looking to unleash the big right hand.

Ortiz countered immediately early on when Wilder tried his big right which made him re-consider until Ortiz became tired. It may seem a poor technique and weak boxing skills to many but this is prize fighting where you win by any means necessary. If Wilder connects with Joshua, he will go down too so will be an interesting fight.

Wilder claimed he wasn't hurt by Ortiz in that big round for the Cuban but you can clearly see by his legs he was rocking . Another 30 seconds and I feel Wilder would have hit the canvas and probably not recovered due to his jelly legs. Ortiz fought really well showing his background in amateur boxing and showed a lot of heart. I would like him to fight Tyson Fury soon.

To be fair if I was watching Wilder for the first time I'd have said the same, but he has excellent durability, heart, a good chin, dangerous power and the movement is decent; he doesn't have a very high in-ring IQ but when he remains composed and uses his jab, not an easy kettle of fish to deal with. I feel he has more tools then Joshua who relies entirely on his size to overwhelm smaller fighters, walks in straight lines and has stamina problems down the stretch.

Ortiz was giving him all he had for a good minute and if that wasn't enough I doubt another 30 seconds would have been, he may have been old but remains one of the best HW's in the world and was on his toes throughout the fight :)) plus one thing we know for sure is even with age, power doesn't fade; George Foreman would personally tell you that ;)

I hope so to, it's a great fight but unlikely because Wilder is a risky prospect for AJ who will look to cash out in a big fight with Tyson Fury first who we don't know will ever be the same fighter he was

To be honest it's great that he's a bum from an Amir Khan POV, hopefully Kell faces another bum because in the end these bums wont be the best preparation for a fit and firing Amir who is facing a bigger threat then the guy Kell fought even though he has been inactive for a long time unlike Kell. I see Kell being protected in search for that big pay day to end his career, I doubt that he's serious about facing the likes of Trout and Charlo

Kell Brook's recent comments:

"Errol Spence, after I won on Saturday, got straight on Twitter and he was mentioning me. He should be in his own train lane," Brook exclusively told Sky Sports.

"But he's jumped across, because he knew I was handling him, I was beating him. The tank was not very good, the eye wasn't very good, but now I'm Terminator, he can't hurt me, and I've got a serious engine. I've got plenty in the tank now."

:))
KingKhanWC They say we don't like Khan because of his confidence in pursuit of big challenges over his career in the likes of Floyd and Manny but he has never called himself the Terminator :yk

Manny could be fighting Matthysse in June, not a bad fight for him.

Others to look out for in the near future and me predictions:

Garcia v Lipnets - Garica
Valdez v Scott Quigg - Quigg
Whyte v Lucas Browne - Whyte
AJ v Joseph Parker - Joseph Parker
Billy Joe v Martin Murray - Billy Joe
Frampton v Donaire - Frampton
Khan v Greco - Khan
Broner v Vargas - Vargas
Bellew v Haye - Haye
Canelo v GGG - Canelo

TYSON FURY has thanked Anthony Joshua for ‘polishing his belts’ and vowed to ‘eat up’ anyone who wants to challenge him.

Fury has not fought since his stunning points win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 when he won three major belts.

The Gypsy King was forced to give up those titles due to a number of negative reasons but he has now returned to full training and is nearing his comeback to the ring.

Fury has the likes of Joshua and Deontay Wilder in his sights and is eager to return to the top of the heavyweight game once again.

He said: "[Trainer] Brendan Ingle once said, it's easy to beat Tyson Fury, very, very easy. Nail him to the canvas, because if you can't do that I'm going to eat you up, eat you all up.

“I opened the division up for all these heavyweights to have world titles. Joshua has been doing a good job of polishing my belts, keeping them nice and warm.

“Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, whoever else, I'm coming for you”

“I could probably fight this weekend. It's been a long time coming. I've been out a long time, two-and-a-half years.

"My ambition is to get in the ring again and get under those lights. I told them recently I want to get some baby oil on, shining, glistening, looking the part.

"Lifting a few weights now. I used to call Joshua a bodybuilder, but I'm starting to look like a bodybuilder now. Taking my protein shakes, getting to bed early and dreaming about smashing people's faces in.”

Wilder defended his WBC belt at the weekend, claiming a hard-fought victory over Cuban’s Luis Ortiz.

Fury is eyeing a blockbuster bout against Joshua in the future but he would welcome a meeting with brash American Wilder too.

He said: “He's made for me. Whatever happens in his career, whether he gets knocked out in his next fight, I want to fight him, because we've got unfinished business.

"When I get in the ring, I'll really give him a good hiding. He's a good puncher and he has got a puncher's chance all the way through until the end of the fight.

“But I believe I've got the best boxing skills in the division, and I'll give him a boxing lesson, and then I'll stop him, all 15 stone of him."

James DeGale: The "Real JD" Will Be Present in Truax Rematch!
British star James DeGale MBE will head to Las Vegas as he aims to reclaim his IBF World Super-Middleweight title against Caleb Truax at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday 7th April, live on SHOWTIME.
‘Chunky’ will joint headline the show, promoted by TGB Promotions and Mayweather Promotions, alongside the highly anticipated Super-Welterweight Unification showdown between WBA Super World Champion Erislandy Lara and IBF World Champion Jarrett Hurd.
DeGale is revitalised and ready for action again after taking a break over Christmas and New Year following his defeat last December to Truax at London’s Copper Box Arena when he lost his title on a majority decision.
Determined not to make any excuses for the loss, DeGale is now out for redemption and will let his actions speak in the ring as he looks to become a two-time Champion of the World to add to his illustrious fight record.
He said, “I’m happy to have the opportunity to rematch Traux and regain my IBF title. I am not going to make excuses for my poor performance, actions speak louder than words. I am excited to be boxing in Vegas and on Showtime again. The real JD will be back on fight night!”
Facing Truax in his backyard will hold no fear for DeGale. ‘Chunky’ campaigned successfully in America for 18 months in thrilling back-to-back fights that saw him win the IBF World Title in May 2015 in Boston against Andre Dirrell; head to Quebec City in November to defend against Lucian Bute in his home town; defend against Rogelio Medina in April 2016 in Washington, before battling WBC Champion Badou Jack to a controversial draw in January 2017.
With his win over Dirrell to claim the World title, he created boxing history when he became Britain’s first ever Olympic Gold medalist boxer to win a world title.

Just saw the ortiz vs wilder fight. Is it me or did wilder get time to recover after round 7. I have strong opinion that he got saved.

I dunno i could be wrong but why do i get the feeling anytime some big boxing draw is gonna get knocked out, the refs step in & save him. First AJ gets saved in takam fight and now this guy.

He was getting beaten for a good minute in the 7th but withstanded the beating. Then at the start of the 8th the doctor appeared near ring apron to check Wilder, it was ** because he had no cuts so he got a few extra secs to recover. But then Wilder still had to get through the 8th and took further punishment. Not sure if there was foul play but it didn't make much difference in the grand scheme and Ortiz didn't complain either. With AJ we know for sure he is protected, Wilder don't even have a promoter to demand such influence; AJ has thr british boxing board of control in his pocket and with Eddie working his magic I'd only go to the UK if money is my main motivation or am confident of a KO. Because you will not get a decision and you can expect the ref to prematurely stop a fight or buy AJ some time

Haha, Brooke should write a fantasy novel.

Interesting you have chosen Valdez over Quigg, as Valdez is a strong puncher but should be a good fight.

I heard on the radio Canelo failed a drug test but he insists it was due to contaminated meat? Any news on this bro?

It will be competetive felt Quigg would nick it but he is also 3lb over the limit, strange for a guy moving up and am not sure if that excess is a positive or negative. Either way such fights should be cancelled imo.

It seems like a big problem in mexico and the case is on going but WBA and WBC fully back Canelo and the fight will go on, he will be tested extensively before the fight as well so unless something concrete comes up the show will go on, I do think high profile stars tend to use the best stuff possible though and expertly clean their tracks. If more evidence comes to ligh the Khan win should also be turned to a no contest

I hope he is clean, Canelo could/should end up as one of Mexico's all time greats. It would be a massive shame if he is proved to be drug cheat. I dont really buy the defence of nearly all meats in Mexico are contaminated esp for a world class boxer who should be very careful what he is eating. Let's see what emerges.

Mikey Garcia / Lipnets and Quigg / Valdez were both excellent fights to watch recently, I felt the judges could have scored the Quigg fight better because it could have gone either way for me. Mikey Garcia became a 4 weight world champion and looked very good against a game opponent, but still I want him to move back to lightweight where his power is more devastating and compliments his skill very well.

Some very good news today, Lomachenko / Linares has been confirmed; it's arguably an even bigger fight then GGG / Canelo 2 and Lomachenko's first real test against an opponent which is not only skilled but a fighter who campaigns at a similar weight.

Report: Lomachenko-Linares Fight Finalized for May 12 at MSG

https://www.boxingscene.com/lomachenko-linares-fight-finalized-12-msg--126178

Promoters Bob Arum and Oscar De La Hoya have overcome what was once considered an insurmountable obstacle to finalize a Vasyl Lomachenko-Jorge Linares fight for May 12.

According to a Los Angeles Times report Tuesday, Arum’s Top Rank Inc. (Lomachenko) and De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions (Linares) have come to an agreement for Lomachenko to challenge Linares for the Venezuelan’s WBA lightweight title May 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York. They struck a deal, according to the Los Angeles Times, because ESPN agreed to air the telecast headlined by Lomachenko-Linares at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, so that it won’t be broadcast at the same time as HBO’s replay that night of the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin middleweight championship rematch.

Mexico’s Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) and Kazakhstan’s Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) are scheduled to fight again in a high-profile HBO Pay-Per-View main event May 5 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. De La Hoya, whose company promotes Alvarez, and HBO’s hierarchy understandably didn’t want one of Golden Boy’s boxers competing for ratings with the Alvarez-Golovkin replay at the same time.

HBO also is expected to a televise a live fight May 12, along with the Alvarez-Golovkin replay. Due to its earlier start time on ESPN, the Linares-Lomachenko telecast is expected to end before HBO’s broadcast begins May 12.

De La Hoya initially indicated Linares (44-3, 27 KOs) gladly would fight Lomachenko, just not the night of May 12, due to the television scheduling conflict. Top Rank reportedly offered Linares, 32, a career-high purse to defend his title against Lomachenko, which was among the reasons Linares wanted to take it.

Now that they’ve finalized their deal, Ukraine’s Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs) will attempt to become a world champion in a third weight class (135 pounds).

The 30-year-old Lomachenko – commonly considered one of boxing’s best fighters, pound-for-pound – owns the WBO super featherweight title (130 pounds). The two-time Olympic gold medalist previously held the WBO featherweight championship (126 pounds).

May is scheduled to be one hell of a month for Boxing fans:

Gennady Golovkin vs Canelo 2

Tony Bellew vs David Haye 2

Jorge Linares vs Vasyl Lomachenko

Oleksandr Usyk vs Murat Gassiev

Adonis Stevenson vs Badou Jack

Lee Selby vs Josh Warrington

Jamie McDonnell vs Naoya Inoue

Valdez will be sitting on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.

It was a brutal fight, Quigg suffered a broken nose to and a really bad cut above his eye with blood blurring his vision. Wish Valdez a speedy recovery, never forget what these fellas put on the line...:/ this is why nothing can ever compared to the sport of boxing

Forgot to post Qais Ashfaq's debut from last month. His amateur pedigree is very good and his style is that of a counter puncher, as you can see in the video his control of range is good and you can expect that with an Olympian. Out of the British asian prospects, I still rate Muhammad Ali's potential over him (now banned) but Qais can go far. He doesn't have the same raw tools as Amir did but he's a very smart fighter and he"ll benefit from not having a huge spotlight on his back from day one.

tbh this is the first time i have heard of him as have not been watching much boxing lately. Judging from the first match, he has got good hand speed and footwork. Will see how he does in his second fight

Interesting fight, Whyte keeps getting told Browne has too much power and will knock him out :))

I'm going to Dillian tho, he's the better boxer imo. Round 10 stoppage for DW.

I expect Dilian to win to but the more I think about it Browne is a very dangerous opponent for him

Yes it was. It was very funny when his old friend the female Olympic champion appeared and Ali was winding up his mrs. :))

His first opponent proffesionally was funny too when he said because he lost on a split decsion he was better than the likes of Norton etc.

The story of when he used to sneak into the gym due to the 'apartheid' conditions at the time and where he learned how to jab and move was great. Everyone should look into his life esp youngsters. If you are ever down or lack confidence or belief in what you want to achieve, just look back at Ali's life, it will inspire you to believe anything in possible.

That egg-prank was funny in a cruel sort of way. What do you guys think of Floyd heading to the Octagon? Going to survive five rounds or is this going to be worse than CM Punk's debut?

Whyte v Lucas Browne - Whyte Points
AJ v Joseph Parker - Joseph Parker (Late stoppage)
Billy Joe v Martin Murray - Billy Joe (Points)
Frampton v Donaire - Frampton (Points)
Khan v Greco - Khan (Wins by KO)
Broner v Vargas - Vargas (Points)
Bellew v Haye - Haye (Points)
CLENelo v GGG - GGG (Late Stoppage)

Billy, Galahad and the Pakistani fellas are a tight nit unit in Sheffield :)) all in good fun, you should watch Billy vs the Canadian puncher David, masterful performance.

It's just a publicity stunt mate, if he steps in the Octagon I would be beyond shocked. Mayweather has countless businesses and his own promotion, all this exposure plays into his hands; he has always been a smart business man. But in a fantasy world where he would step in the UFC at this stage of his career I wouldn't see him doing well at all, if it was back in 2005-2007 I could see him beating at top contender after 2-3 years of experience, maybe less; his style is perfect because of his control of range, footwork and impregnable defence.

I don't think Haye has anything left in his tank personally and he is just too injury prone , in his prime Bellew gets blown away in a couple of rounds

There's another story of the legendary Ken buchanon I read in the Ring Magazine recently whom is arguably Britians greatest fighter, he arrived in the US for a high calibre event at MSG headlined by Ali. He attends his dressing but later Dundee Ali's trainer knocks on the door and asks him if Ali can share the dressing room with him, Ken says why doesn't he have his own? he replies that Ali was not allocated one. Ken then replied it's fine, then he draws a line with a chalk along the middle and says that Ali better stay in his half or he will get these pointing at his fists :)) Ignoring all of that Ali would repeatedly jump to the other side of the line and back to his own repeatedly to wind Ken up :)))

He was one hell of an inspiration and extremely unique, like Naz once said; Ali was that extraordinary as a man that God just wanted to show he's also human when it came to the health issues he would have later in life. But despite that the way his spirit and will remained just as emphatic was extremely heartening.

I agree in Hayes prime he would have demolished Bellew in a few rounds, However i think "if" and big if his body stays together for the fight then he will will beat Bellew on Points.

Amjid Javed you missed the big one prediction for Lomachenko / Linares

I think Loma will win by SD, i think this will be a very good and close fight as linares is a very good technical fighter and with good power so even though loma has dominated as he goes through the weights there will come a point where he will struggled against some fighters due to Size and decent skill set.

Loma has looked very good against guys from 1-2 divisions below him, Linares is more compatible at 135 for sure given how long he has campaigned there but physically the two are as big as each other having started their careers at featherweight, so I agree that it will be a competitive because playing field will be levelled.

If his body does hold up that's the best possible outcome for him, but even so he will retire because he expects himself to annihilate Bellew and to be fair that's exactly what he needs to do if he is to challenge the top heavyweights in the world.

If Haye loses or wins a poor fashion he needs to retire, only redemption for a big HW clash going forward for him would be apparent if he blows bellew away quickly and in style.

I would agree with that, it's hard to see someone so great in his prime as a shadow and even more awful to see them get beat by Bellew of all people! hate his guts and everyone else in Liverpool.

KingKhanWC Virgil Hunter has been having some serious health issues and as a result has left the gym as he's unable to train his fighters including Khan, hopefully he recovers well. The two were in the middle of a camp so it's a blow but with a short period left before the fight, Khan has bought in Joe Goosen in the interim to see how things go; Goosen doesn't have a long time to work with Amir so it will be unfair to overly judge him but he's very well respected in Boxing circles and has trained the likes of Corrales, Whitaker and the Ruelas brothers.

Sad to hear, hope Virgil regains full health quickly.

I agree I think it wont have a major impact on Khan, not in training but if Virgil isn't in his corner and Khan is struggling it could be a big blow as Virgil is a tactical genius.

Kash Ali is fighting David Howe in Bham. He should win by knockout imo.

Good luck to cash, if he wins he could be fighting for British heavyweight title soon and make an nice pay day.

True it shouldn't have too much of an effect and in a way it's a blessing in disguise because he can plan ahead with regards to his next move and Goosen may find himself in a full time role, am not going to say am too familiar with his style but he does have respect and I believe he may be the perfect fit for Khan. One of Goosens biggest strengths is getting fighters to listen to him and he's very good at motivating them to find that extra gear. Goosen trained fighters with great hearts and always motivated them to turn it around like Corrales vs Castillo and Molina Jr vs Mickey

Full credit has to be given to Whyte, a lot of these pundits are now belittling Browne but prior to the fight not even one of them was overly confident about a Whyte victory because Browne can bang and has some decent wins behind him, however on this night he could have shown up in better shape and with a little bit of a game plan.

Whyte has always been very sound technically and his power for me is underrated, people kept writing him off after the AJ loss but his training camp was poor and he suffered a shoulder injury during the fight itself; prior to that he has struggled for fights, had no promoter and scratched/clawed to build his profile. In recent times he has changed trainers, focused a lot on his physio and strength / conditioning; plus has sky and matchroom behind him as well now. This is Whyte at his peak and it's no surprise some of the other champions have not been quick to jump in the ring with him.

HBO aired this fight as well in America so all in all this was a fantastic show reel KO for him which will certainly add pressure on the other champions to step in the ring with him, the AJ fight will always be there and he knows that; that's why he is desperate to get Wilder because if he wins a World Title then a unification with AJ would be huge.

Getting that out the way honestly when I see KO's like that live sometimes I question why I watch the sport, we never want to be in a position where we see that and the fighter is completely done. Thoughts with Browne, hope he recovers well. It's just that side of the sport isn't it and emphasises the unique challenges / dangers, it takes so much courage to step in that ring and anyone who does while they can be criticised in terms of performance or attributes they can never be called a bum in my eyes.

Great post.

I thought he boxed incredibly well even though Browne isn't a boxer but a slugger, Dillian showed some real class. His power is underrated even though he rocked Joshua but hopefully after tonight people will see what he really is.

I know how you feel, even though I love the sport when I see a knockout such as tonight's or likes of Manny against JMM or Hatton against Manny, it sends a scary shiver down my spine. I guess we have to remember serious injuries are still very rare in the sport and we know how doctors nearby who can call off the fight even if the ref or the corner doesn't. But yes best wish to Browne.

A lot of people don't know this but the origin of his body snatcher nickname came from his devastating body punching in his early days and he really show cased that today; thought it was beautiful, it slowed Browne down even further and took the wind out of him. That shoulder is fully heeled now and he was able to drop him with that left hook, mind you Browne has a great chn and to take some one out in that fashion you need pop regardless of who you're up against.

I really hope he gets his shot at a world belt because am sure win or lose he will prove he belongs at the world level but no one wants to risk their O against him maybe because they want to cash out in bigger fights, but with Wilder taking on Ortiz recently there's hope that he will be more open to taking on Dilian plus it would boost his profile even more and Whyte is coming off a big win which the Americans saw on their TVs as well.

Honestly KingKhan watching that fight I said to myself the ref needs to stop this during round 5 because he was taking severe punishment, had slowed down and his left eye was severely cut didn't want him to go blind; he wasn't throwing much back either and it was one way traffic no longer in a position to defend himself, he's a tough bloke but the ref for me should have stepped in there. Same officials are more then happy to stop Joshua fights prematurely but not in moments like these when it actually matters. I was up for that Hatton / Manny fight watched it live, still the most brutal I've ever seen and legit though that was it, he wasn't moving for a while. Glad to see him turn things around now, he went through some really dark phases after that defeat.

Thanks for posting this! This has to be one of the final videos of Ali in action. The way he threw the jab was a thing of beauty.

Man what memories. Never going to be another heavyweight like Ali

It's incredible but at the same time it makes you wince knowing he indulged in such sessions and even fighting towards the end of his career despite the health issues.

I've seen Khan train, we're about a month out, Virgil is ill and while there's no disrespect to Goosen he needs Hunter. Right now he's out of rhythm then again he has been more of a reactive fighter in the past but even for him a 2 year lay off will show, the goal for him will be to some how get the win because I do believe there will be a lot of rust and Greco is good enough to exploit that. His second camp should be better providing he gets through this one.

From what I gather Goosen has always been more offensive minded then a defence oriented trainer Amjid Javed

In terms of the Khan fight.. Khan to dominate 4 rounds, winning on points. Gets KO'd by Lo Greco between round 5-6.
I watched the face off today ("Gloves are off") between Joshua and Parker today, I'm looking forward to that fight this weekend! I think Joshua KO's Parker round 10.

Right now the main thing is for Khan to regain his hunger for boxing again, i dont think it matters what trainer he has he needs to start putting in the hard work himself and building his way back up from the bottom. Hes thought to much of himself over last few years just chasing so called "big money" fights which he thought he had a god given right to. Time for some humility and no nonsense outside of the ring and time to start using his talent in the ring better as well.
