Long way to go still but they have a good duo to look up to and aim to replicate their success in tests.

Ashwin is already closing in on 400 test wickets.

Jadeja has just crossed 200.

Long long way to go still .

A good comparison for me - both combinations are excellent at home but a bit lacking away
Ashwin/Jadeja is more extreme though - a legitamately ATG attack in the same vein as McGrath/Warne/Gillespie or Pollock/Donald/De Villiers, but away they are very poor
Anderson/Broad are also very good at home, but not quite as good, while being better than the spinners away but still short of being considered 'good'

Anderson and Broad have longevity and notable away performances.

Ashwin and Jadeja don't have longevity or notable performances overseas.

I would say if Ashwin can take 500+ wickets with a few memorable performance overseas, he can be considered Stuart Broad level. Jadeja will not take that many wickets.

So, a more appropriate comparison will be Kumble-Ashwin to Anderson-Broad pair but that means taking two spinners from different era.

Very difficult as now, in tests, whether in india or overseas, majority of wickets are taken by our pacers

Broad and Anderson have had most success at home, I think Ashwin especially can do it all over the world so why not!

I think Kumble and Harbhajan had already done that with over 1000 test wickets between them playing together.

It would be difficult for Ashwin and Jadeja to match because India now believes in their fast bowler to win matches. At best they can get to 800 wickets combined - 500 to Ashwin and 300 to Jadeja.
