Butt started to believe the hype created by his friends in the media, and forgot they can't protect him out in the middle. Complete dud, not a T20 player (and a national disgrace too).

Re Agha, he has been in poor form with the bat for the last season or so. Mentioned this before. He has always struggled against short ball. This is why Haris should be playing ahead of him.

Honestly, as I said before, all these afterthoughts such as 21st pick and mid season transfer is a waste of time because if a franchise is deliberately blind towards talented players and select players on the criteria that is not based on merit then it is pointless for us to discuss these things.

Exactly!!!!! All of the franchises have same mentality and they will not promote any young talented batsman over well known TTF. They are here to make money and entertain themselves not our cricket's best interest.
I think PSL should have 2 parts. Veteran and young. So we can see all oldies and TTFs in Veteran category and others on young category.

Not quite as sceptical as you, but you do have a point insofar as a lot of teams' problems are self-inflicted:

IU need a spinner who can take wickets but are benching Zafar Gohar
IU could do with an(other) aggressive pace bowling option but are benching Amad Butt
KK need a legspinner for the middle overs but are benching Usama Mir
LQ need a local batsman who can bat through but are benching Haris Sohail and Saad Ali
LQ need a keeper who can finish off an innings but are benching Umair Masood

There are obviously some 'gaps' where a transfer window would be useful though- it's good for benched players too as it gives them another chance.

There is a lot of injustice happening in the PSL. A lot of good players missing out.

the PSL is a reflection of our domestic system. If there had not been an emerging category nothing would have been discovered.

I think we will find 1 or 2 fast bowlers from PSL this year with no single spinner or batsman. This year PSL will be the worst outcome to unearth any talent. I think franchise owners also lost whatever honesty they had. Now-a-days team selected through favoritism or nepotism.
