Hilarious! I honestly have nothing against Tendulkar. I love the guy. My amusement is only for all the Indian fans and media that made this 100th 100 out to be the biggest thing in the history of cricket.
 
Sachin cant even handle the pressure of this thread. Let alone international teams.

An Indian co-worker of mine is seriously blaming Sachin for not scoring this 100 ...... intentionally.

He thinks, betting mafia is forcing him not to do it.... or he is not doing it because if ...he does, then the there will be pressure on him for retiring ...

theres pressure on him regardless.hardly anyone cares about his 100.infact if he gets 100 n more runs,he may prolong his career

He will get it by the end of this year count on it.

On a serious note the Sachin is having a mental block, a sports physiologist is needed to help him get through it.

If stats didnt matter to the little man he wouldve got his ton ages back, looks like hes thinking about it too too much!
 
Anyone have suggestions for Tendy to help him break the shackles and finally get the ton of tons? We have to help the little fella out here. So far I have the following from this thread:

1. bat from both ends
2. start batting before the toss
3. stop thinking and start hitting
4. see a psychologist
5. demand that this thread be closed

Anything else?

What they are going to do is go through his old dismissals, apply DRS and retrospectively award a century.......

Nothing needs to be done. They are going to be playing in India for a while and it is only a matter of time. Moreover, Punter recently showed that you can notch up a century even after a two year drought, especially if you get to face India like bowling.

This is getting beyond a joke now.

Just cos Punter can hit a century after a 2 year drought, so that means SRT can too? What next? Zimbabwe can win the WC 3 times on the trott because Australia did?

The point was, to cling to the pitiful excuse than one player can score a 100 so can another is just laughable and desperate.

We all know SRT cannot handle the pressure, form or class.

Your Indian buddy reckons SRT will score a 100 just because Ponting did, after 2 years. To think a player can register an achievement just because another did is down right laughable.

PS: You are right though, Ponting is way above SRT.

Yes SRT has scored most centuries - doh - he has been playing the longest too (runs are proportionate to times), not to mention SRT is a world class Minnow basher.

Pity SRT crapped it on 94 against WI, at home, in Mumbai.

I mentioned Australia because he not only scores against minnows, he scores against the top team as well. If I understood rightly, minnow bashing is someone who scores only against minnows and below average or average against top teams. now you go back and check how many centuries he scored against non minnows, 75% of his centuries are against non minnows.

when I talked about rate, you want me to exclude minnows. why? other players dont play against minnows? ok if you remove the centuries against minnows, I am sure the rate would still be one of the best. remember you need to do the same for other players as well. :)

You are the only one to call Sachin a minnow basher without any stats to back up. Sachin has scored 75% of his total runs against non minnows and 50+ average against most of the test playing countries which clearly shows he is not a minnow basher.

How is that a minnow bashing? 18 out of 99 centuries is 20%, remaining 80% of his centuries are against non minnows. how is that a minnow bashing?

scored 4500 runs out of 32000 against minnows, which is not even 15% of his total runs.

try again and better luck next time.

Not true at all.

In that case why don't we persuade Waqar and Wasim and for that matter Imran Khan and Javed Miandad to come out of retirement. We'd be the best team in the world, no?

Everybody goes over the hump eventually and everybody reaches a point where they just can't do it anymore!

Not that Sachin has reached that point. He WILL get a century in the next game....100% guaranteed. It's written in stone.

they are still one of minnow teams even now... they had crap bowling till 2000... untill Murli unleashed his dosra copying Saqlain... other wise his record against Australia, Westindies, England, Pakistan, South Africa and Newzealend ( I am not excluding west Indies last 5 years where the became real minnows.. or tendu's record would be more ordinary)

Minnow bashing is a great quality, we have discussed that before. Bit surprised to see WL using such stats against newbies in a Tendulkar thread when Tendulkar would still be leading the other charts against top teams and in top tournaments both formats included. I am disappoint.
