Game in the balance. NZ will be happy to see the back of a settling Nazir. Bond has been very impressive.

Typically Nazir...did more harm to the team more then anything else...by wasting balls and then throwing it away when well set...this after almost running his partner for the want of not giving up his free hit...

Selfish tools like Nazir who have limited batting abilities and technique to begin with should be no where near the team...

Now Kami should play sensibly and target other bowlers except Bond. Bond can extract bounce even on a pancake pitch! So it has not surprised me with his bouncer. He has a natural action for bouncer
 
i am going to stick my neck out here...

grass is brown and dry and wicket is bouncy..i think this wicket is really going to liven up under the lights!

Even if it stays like this im sure Aamer will make the ball talk
 
Also the ball wasn't the unplayable one that Nazir's hacks are making it out to be...it was too good for a slogger like Nazir, but for a regular international opener a chest height balls is quite routine to negotiate...

but kamran being short will have an advantage

I disagree. Gave a pretty good start. Slow from his standards yes, but faster than 'fast' starts from other openers.
 
4 for akmal, nice shot but it was in the air... need to be careful here

absolutely...but i just have the feeling that under lights this wicket may offer more to the bowlers then it is doing now.

He did not look to give his wicket away at all and was playing quite responsibly, just got one hell of a bouncer.

60/1 12 overs... a good start for pak but they cant afford to lose any wickets here

Get real. You can only duck under such kind of deliveries. Any attempt to play such a brute of a delivery would result in the ball looping up off the slice of the bat or the batsman getting struck on the gloves/helmet. How about you go learn cricket rather than embarrassing yourself here?

Right...said that in response to what some were saying that Pak bowlers will make the ball talk on this surface...the pitch will be an absolute belter when Pak bowling comes in...
 
Seems like a very solid start by us. Just keep it steady through the 'boring overs' - and unleash an onslaught final 10-15 overs

Oh yes this he may has but Kami would surely play his natural stroke and go for cricketing shots. Nazir played superbly and i am sure this innings may have given enough of confidence and idea to go after the Auzzies in the final.
 
NZ have bowled well.

I think Pakistan are 15 runs light at the moment.
 
Bond has extracted some good bounce from this pitch ... hit Akmal on knuckles couple of times then surprised Nazir to take his wicket.
 
Tbh NZ bowling is very poor. We have got through the early stage of the innings with minimal loss. Thats only point where NZ might have damaged us. Vettori is good but you can expect our middle-order to tackle him easily
