Where was he hiding in World Cup? I remember he was hyping the Adelaide game and how Pakistan will demolish India from months before the game. As ususal not to be seen after the game

No idea who this cricket engineer is... but that India - Pakistan game was heavily favoured to India for several reasons:

1. 4 month long tour greatly supersedes warm-up matches, short tours etc.
2. India fully acclimatised, particularly at Adelaide having played a 5 day test-match and both warm-up matches
3. Pakistan hit with suspensions and injuries
4. Kohli dropped twice in his innings with Umar given wrongly out
5. Tactical errors i.e. playing Yasir Shah

As the tournament progressed it was clear that as we were acclimatising, we became formidable despite our set backs and the fact that most players were new to international cricket with hardly any practice (and that too first-time in Australia). This can be clearly observed by the fact that we ran Australia the closest (with VVS Laxman saying if Pakistan held onto the catches Pakistan would have won). A competitive game where Watson was celebrating like he won the WC after whereas Australia just walked off the pitch after beating India again in a winless tour.

Calling it selfish is a bit harsh. sometimes you stuggle with the timing, even on flat tracks and against mediocre bowling. Dhoni faced the same problem against DD too. I have also seen kohli facing the same problem in some IPL matches.

Besides struggling with the timing , Duminy wasn't too sure when to cut loose. He wanted to play an anchor role , and played it to perfection, only that he played it a bit too longer. It happens!
