Does Pakistan still produce faster pace bowlers than India?

What kind of question is this its obvs stil produces faster pace bowlers than india wahab riaz is 34 but stil bowls faster than all india fast bowlers lol

Faster? Of course. Pakistan probably has 10 express bowlers in the country plus another 2-3 that haven’t even been discovered. India has maybe half that number of express quicks.

But the quality of India’s attack is now far better than Pakistan’s.

At the moment yes but in a years time when shaheen and naseem Rauf husnain have experience I expect them to be well ahead

Rauf, Hasnain all look ordinary to me. Maybe they will have a good season early on like Hasan Ali. Even Naseem Shah seems nothing special aside from his pace.

Shaheen is a future star in the making.

There's absolutely no reason why india cant, and theres absolutely no reason why pak cant....whilst on india, just because india havent produced heaps of out and out quickies doesnt mean it cant happen, its gonna happen sooner rather than later....when it does...watch out ...:) one of the things that massively warm this indian lover of true pace bowling is we are getting a pace based mindset_ a psyche a way ofthinking>>>>its coming your way>>>>cheers

Rauf and husnain are good odi t20 bowlers
Shaheen is proved that hes the next big thing.

Naseem has the action and pace to succeed for example he seems like he can move the ball both ways only thing is fitness

Since 2018 (after Bumrahs debut), we are no 1 by a long way, with fast bowler average of 22

Bumrah
Shami
Ishant
Umesh
Siraj

Aside of these bowlers, there is a lot of potential among younger pacers like Mavi and Nagarkoti, especially former.

Splitting by home and away, India are well on top since 2015.

India home = 28 matches 185 wickets @ 24.19
India away = 32 matches 336 wickets @ 26.49

Australia home = 33 matches 418 wickets @ 26.62
Australia away = 27 matches 309 wickets @ 26.39

England home = 40 matches 570 wickets @ 24.72
England away = 35 matches 330 wickets @ 32.45

SA home = 31 matches 472 wickets @ 21.85
SA away = 22 matches 330 wickets @ 30.28

Pakistan home = 4 matches 38 wickets @ 24.92
Pakistan away = 30 matches 275 wickets @ 34.94

NZ home = 28 matches 451 wickets @ 25.84
NZ away = 17 matches 180 wickets @ 35.42

WI home = 22 matches 249 wickets @ 24.16
WI away = 22 matches 155 wickets @ 42.54

Bangladesh home = 11 matches 29 wickets @ 49.55
Bangladesh away = 14 matches 71 wickets @ 56.98

SL home = 26 matches 109 wickets @ 35.87
SL away = 31 matches 279 wickets @ 36.26

Bumrah
Shami
Ishant
Umesh
Siraj

Mavi and Nagarkoti are not even Ranji level players let alone international. Nothing special.

So amongst top teams NZ is a pure home track bully.

Damn BD pace bowling is so bad. Hopefully, next generation pacers can bring the average down to 40 at least.

Don't know about Siraj but Thakur and Nattu are nothing test bowlers...
I will be surprised if they play tests again...

Nattu will regularly play LOIs.

Shardul has to wish that Bumrah Ishant Shami Yadav Bhuvi Saini Siraj, atleast 5 are indisposed,so that he can get a chance.

Shardul is actually a good work horse for SENA tests.

Mavi has fifer in Ranji,Nagarkoti was mostly out of action since u19 wc

Mavi has played 6 FC games and has a good record. Hope he can play a full season. Nagarkoti is an excellent talent but hasn't played a single FC game yet. Very disappointing. Hope he is back to full fitness and starts playing FC at least this year. He is a capable lower order bat as well and will be a huge boost for India. He is just 21 so has time on his side to make a claim for the India side in the future. For the next few years we have enough bowling resources.

Mavi averages 21 in FC with bowl. He had a bit of injuries but I will be surprised if he isn't back to his best. He is just 22. Nagarkoti is just 21.

Is this thread a joke, Pakistan has been producing garbage since 2011.

The decline was apparent since 2012-2013 when Bhuvi and Shami were maturing as pacers and we were playing round robin with the likes of a trundling Junaid, a non bendable Irfan, Tanvir (who somehow played a Test in SA in 2013), Rahat (semi decent, looked almost out of place), Wahab (less said about him the better) and then Amir who basically became a sad impersonation of his former self.

The only guy who showed any semblance of being a decent prospect was Abbas and he too basically lost form due to (a) an injury, (b) us playing Tests after spans of eons and (c) Probably some much up by the PCB medical dept. People rave about Shaheen but I am yet to see him bowl us to victory until now and Faheem/Naseem/others are just too run of the mill.

At the moment, India basically is so far ahead, in the coming years the gulf would be bigger than what we had against them in the 90s.

It is basically Bumrah, Shami and Ishant who are currently better than Pak bowlers .

Yeah! What a prediction!
Looks like They all have now overtaken bumrah, Ishant and Shami in just a year time and well head.

So Siraj who won test matches for us in Australia is bad? T20 match winners like Nattu are not good enough despite actually winning matches? Man some Indians are such self loathers depsite our young players constantly proving them wrong and making them a laughing stock

We won a test series in Aus with bumrah only contributing 50% and other two (Ishant and Shami) missing in the matches we won and drew (against the likes of Smith and Warner) but but but its only these 3 you guys, we have no other bowling talent

Same was said on PP about Siraj Nattu Thakur etc.

And same was said about batsmen like Pant. Some people here are the worst judges of talent. They would be denying Shami, Bumrah etc too if they hadn't won so many for so long

In odis and t20s shaheens is well ahead ishant and shami and just behind bumrah.

Can only talk about shaheen at the moment as the rest havent played much in international baring naseem

Haris has bowled more 150kph balls than all Indian pace bowlers combined since wc 2019

As I have been saying throughout the thread - there are fast bowlers and then there are others.

Akhtar, Lee, Lillee, Marshal, Waqar (pomp), Tate, Craft, Thompson were real fast bowlers who would consistently bowl 145-150 spell after spell, with many balls at 150+ and some 155+. They would put the fear of God into batsmen.

All others such as Shaheen, Bumrah, Cummins are not that. And you can add many others in that list.

Currently, there are NO real fast bowlers in the world.

It is a race between fast mediums and the judgment is more on quality than on speed.

Both India and Pakistan currently do not have real fast bowlers. India has never had fast bowlers. They have high quality fast mediums, the best they have ever had as a unit, nagging, accurate, occasional unplayable balls and we should end the discussion at that.
