8 hour time limit - give picks to mods. Abdullah719 in particular is very helpful

Could a mod also please add this to the OP

Can someone give me a break down of the rules since I’m picking first lol

ODI draft, we go sequentially from you to Rayyman, then Rayyman to you and so on.

At least 8 of your cricketers have to be from different countries. So basically 8 countries should be in your team. You can have 9 countries or 10 too, but you can’t have 7 countries in your team.

You have 8 hours after the person right before you (AB Fan) picks his player, to make your pick. If you don’t pick, you get skipped. You can message the mods with your pick in advance if you plan to be offline at the time.

Is it an all time draft or just players playing currently?

Thanks for doing this. Also, just making sure that everyone knows it is a snake draft

Do players have to be ODI capped? For example, no Bradman? What about Sami Aslam, does he qualify for two countries? :afridi

Bhai, Bradman was not eligible to pick even for our test drafts, what is the point even of picking him for ODIs? :yk

We should make the eligibility as 5 ODI games. Also, if a player has played for two countries like England and Ireland, it should be counted as only England IMO :afridi

Abdullah719 can you delete some old messages so I can send you my picks - currently exceeding stored message quotas

can we have a post up top showing latest picks, just to make it easier to know who all has been taken

I pick MS Dhoni. freelance_cricketer can pick as soon as he is next on

With the 11th pick in the 2020 Diversity Draft, the Rayymen select:

Da_Future_Knick picks Jacques Kallis and Imran Khan.

Given freelance_cricketer seems to have decided to drop out - any ideas how we can get someone else to take his place?

We had 11 already, so in my opinion we shouldn't bother replacing him, the incoming participant would be at a large disadvantage
Open to other suggestions

I'm inclined to agree.

However, if it's necessary to get a replacement and someone is willing to participate in the draft so late, then that poster should possibly be allowed to make 4 successive picks at the end of this third selection round.

Need to speed up a bit.. the draft is going extremely slow.

Think we should move to next person and those who miss their turn - they can wait for all turns to be done and put in their picks later

i know random is fair, but maybe its worth ordering people by what time zone they are in, and then randomly selecting who goes first.

but then u keep the same order so ppl in same time zones are active around a similar time.

8 hours time limit looks a fair threshold. Just need to make sure that we don't end up waiting 4-5 hours after every 2-3 picks.

The issue isn’t with time zone nor is the issue with ordering - the draft should be quicker if people consistently send in their picks to the mods if they don’t plan to be online for the next x hours and their turn is coming up.

For example, if your turn is 3 turns down the road and you don’t expect to be online 4 hours from now, please send your picks in to the mods.

I suggest to share your pick with mods, The Viper or else we will be up for a long wait.
