England [149/5] beat India [148/5] by five wickets in the 2nd T20I to level series at 1-1

Can't really blame Dhoni in this match. Kohli played soo many deliveries, he should have score more runs.
 
Say whatever you want, but an over the hill, past it Dhoni made Pandya look like a complete noob at the other end

Decent innings by Dhoni. But why does he wait until 20th over to hit big shots? :facepalm:

Dhoni should have been in attack mode from the 18th over. That means India are 20 runs short here.
 
It is not a pitch where you can hit through the line due to extra bounce. Someline like bumrah would have been handy on this fast pitch. These guys were bowling at 80 mph except Plunkett who hit 87 mph.
 
England should win this in 19th over with 5 wickets remaining.

20 runs below par. Too little too late in the end. Last 5 overs should have gone for 60 runs. 40 runs is simply not enough.

Kohli got out at the wrong time. Dhoni waited too long to hit big shots. It will look pretty on the score board for his stats. But it was a decent innings and nothing more.
 
I consider Jake Ball as a rubbish bowler from the very first day of his int career.He is just a half track hit the deck bowler,he can't bowl any swing bowling.
 
It's a fighting total against this English side who can't play Indian spinners.

Agreed. Even that trundler ball and Willey were bowling at 80mph, but the ball was flying like it was bowled at over 90mph.

India does not have the pace attack to exploit the conditions. Kumar relies on swing. Yadav might enjoy the conditions if he does not spray the ball.
 
England will look to break the back of this chase in powerplay. India atleast 20 short of competitive score.

We really need a Roy type guy to kick-start inns at the top in T20s. Both openers take too much time to start engine.

Using Umesh Yadav for first over turned out to be a disaster

He is not consistent with his line and lenght. One good delivery and the next one will be short and wide.
 
Good comeback from Yadav and gutsy move from Kohli to give him the ball again in the next over
 
Intelligent England. Send Root in early to allow him to settle. He is very important to this chase
 
Indian fast bowlers need to find a way to keep the run rate in check till spinners are introduced
 
Jo's butler is in red hot form. Should carry the team past the finishing line.
Root played it smart by coming in at 3 and getting enough time on the pitch before th spinners come on

I doubt spinners can win this for India. 148 on this pitch is a bad score. 170 should have been the ideal one.

Kohli batting 2 down is effecting his game and thus also effecting his mind.
 
Thats some poor stuff from Buttler trying to do same thing against same bowler again and again
 
Bring on spinners and let Dhoni captain.
He will unleash the famous Dhoniconda
 
Hales will choke badly against wrist spin. He struggles against off spinners too lol.
 
Root will need to play well and be on strike most of the times when spinners come on. Cant see Hales doing much with them
 
Need Pandya to somehow get through 2 cheap overs and Hales to do tuk tuk like last match to compete
