England [322/7] beat India [236] by 86 runs in the 2nd ODI to level the 3-match series 1-1

The way Eng is playing Indian spinners, management should have though a bit about adding Axar Patel as well

He bowled lot of slower deliveries in his international debut T20s which were not his strength.He has bowled with fire on this A tour and have a look at the following video ( ignore the music though :))

It's the quality of the spinners. If Jadeja/Ashwin were playing, they would have been massacred. And Axar? Lol

Yes but he could have supported them by bowling wicket to wicket. He surely isnt a wicket taker but can play a supporting role.
 
Chahal has bowled better than Kuldeep today and Rohit just took a wonderful catch. He is extremely good fielder even with his tummy.:sanga
 
Chase is going to be just too easy India. Should have fielded first. By now, India would be like 300/3, targeting 380.
 
Root is the key here, should rotate the strike and ask others to hit when in zone
 
I dont know how this guy Sidharth Kaul took wickets in IPL.

Here is a theory when the other bolwers consist of Stanlake, Rashid Khan, Bhuveneshwar the opposition team targets weak link which was kaul and he might have ended up taking good amount of wickets in the tournament.

Now this is where a good selector comes in, he not only sees the number wickets the bowler has taken but how and in what situation he has taken wickets.
 
This and last Odi series tells us that India is the most well rounded team ATM, they are much bigger favorite than England.
Everybody is looking at glaring weaknesses of ENG, I would not be shocked if they cannot even qualify for SFs, specially if AUS has fab five back (Warner, Smith, Strac, Cumins, HW), their current team is more like C team. PAK is not that shabby, long tournament means we can get into form, that always works in our favor. Batting is not where it should be, we can plan much better for western teams, apart from that India is only team we need to worry about, anything can happen in that game, specially knockout one.
 
Willey no longer bats with that ugly stance. His batting will keep him in limited overs players mix for longer span of his career.
 
Willey giving these useless bowlers the phainty. Hopefully he will get a phainty from indian batsman too.
 
umesh bowled 3 full tosses. How could you bowl 3 full tosses. You are an international bowler for god's sake

This is where India miss Bhuvi and Bumrah. They wouldn't have let this English side go beyond 300.
 
As I stated in a thread few weeks earlier, this series will showcase the importance of Root to this team.

He is slower than others, but their approach doesn’t always work against quality attacks.

Root hasn’t been in great form, but he is their most reliable batsman with the temperament to bat through the innings, allowing the more aggressive players to bat around him.
 
England getting a move on.Come on boys, make it 330.Let ours batsmen work for those runs.

Mamoon! This is in't our quality attack. Our side without Bumrah and Bhuvi is absolutely not quality and we are riding our luck because of Kuldeep and Chahal. If we had Bhuvi and Bumrah, things would have been different, but nevertheless it's a well composed innings by Root.
 
Good that Umesh is trying to bowling yorkers instead of knuckle balls, slower balls all that ****.

It is still a quality attack because Yadav is brilliant and Chahal is very good. Considering England’s weakness against spin, any attack with a world class spinner will prove to be a handful against them.

A bowling attack of Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar, Yadav, Chahal and Pandya is the best in the world in my opinion.
 
England should forget about winning any world cup if they cannot cope with pressure game. Last time they lost to Bangladesh in some ICC trophy.
 
Art of how not to bowl in death how not set fields in death was exhibited by Indian bowling. Kaul's strength is yorker and slow ball. But somehow he thought he was brett lee and tried to bounce players out on a road of wicket.
 
India can tease England with another leggy, Mishra and they cannot cross 250. They should do it to troll England 😁😁😁

Yes! An attack of Bhuvi, Bumrah, Kuldeep, Yadav and Pandya is phenomenal. I can't wait to see our #1 ranked ODI bowler and King of Death overs back in the team. Add Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli, Rahul, DK/Raina and Dhoni to this side and this team looks absolutely invincible. Wow!

I think this is good last 2 overs for India. England should have score 330 plus. Still feel that India will win. Englands pace attack just like India, in short words quite pathetic. And rashid moeen aint kuldeep

Mishra is very talented but he has no nerve. A couple of big hits and he turns into a kitten.

All is wonderful as long as the top 3 batters fire. . If they dont.... CT final will re-occur.

I hope Rahul will provide the much needed backbone for this team.
 
I don't mind if India plays trundler like Kaul but he must have at least one redeeming quality as a cricketer. Apparently his is a cool looking headband. Which is not useful for team. He bowls at Pakistan bowling speed and is short as AF.
 
When you consider the form their openers and Buttler is in, you gotta say India is doing a good job with those short boundaries around them. Luck is a factor too. India is lucky that Buttler got out early today. And that Bairstow wicket.

What you need is BIG Ishant Sharma to tower at the bowling crease.
 
I think England will defend this. They are due a good performance with the ball, and India’s top order is due a failure.

I am putting my money on England making it 1-1.

I seriously dislike this headband. Was it a fashion during 80s?
 
I know this is a second string attack. But even a second string has their best and worst. Today they brought out their worst. Kaul is definitely a better bowler than this. So is Umesh.
