What's new

England [322/7] beat India [236] by 86 runs in the 2nd ODI to level the 3-match series 1-1

On the bright side, our net run rate hasn't taken too much of a bashing looking ahead to the rest of the tournament.

Wait a second? There's only one more game? It's a bilateral series? What!?

Dhoni played a good test knock today. Misbah would be proud..

Just shows that no matter how strong the batting of the opposition (India, Australia), you can still put them under pressure (by taking early wickets) if you have runs on the board. Pakistan did the same in CT Final last year.

Not a very good batting display by India. They never even looked like getting this total. The wicket wasn't difficult to bat on (it is a sunny day) and with relatively shorter boundaries at Lords they should have done better

Required Run Rate

522.0

India nearly save being bowled out, not a bad effort in the end.

Indian fans at Lords must have felt cheated by this performance.

Taking time off and paying too money but only then to seeing such a drab ending must have felt ripped off.

Win or lose fight it out till the end. The last 15 overs was nothing but net practice.

Misbah inspiring even the greats like Dhoni.

That shows the wicket slowed down considerably, poor effort yes but surely wicket has slowed down considerably as well none of the batter looked comfortable even after reaching 30 odd

Was that SF against Us back in 2011 WC? - I have not noticed at the time that we did not give away a single 6 in entire innings

England won the toss and will bat first.
Wanted India to bat first, now KulCha will again bowl them out under 300 and our top order will chase it.
Our middle order is not getting match practice.

Haha bat first ☺👌👌

Thank you England.

Chase is going to be just too easy India. Should have fielded first. By now, India would be like 300/3, targeting 380.

Should be easy century for dhawan and kohli on this pitch. Only if they decide to throw wicket then england has some chance.

This has been a sad evening across all sports. No internet or social media for the next 48 hours.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading the match thread. :yk :afridi

The Indians lost .... fair and square ..... no ifs or buts about it !!!! So the next one, on Tuesday, should be a reeeeeeal slugfest ..... I am sure it will be.
