England (354 & 170/2) defeat Pakistan (304 & 216) by 8 wickets to clinch a historic 3-0 series sweep

For all the cringy Bazball tactics, all three matches had phases where Pakistan were on top legitimately. Bowling attack was seriously compromised due to injuries. I think we can cut some slack for Babar & Co. SL got whitewashed by Eng and then later drew with the Aussies who beat Pakistan at home.

We don't learn regarding Injuries we keep either playing players who have no domestic experience or are over the hill.

What cringey BazBall tactics ?

England too good for Pak simple as that. Dani Kaneria is spot on in calling out Babar Azam for what he is. I have always said that Babar simply can not be compared to a match winner like Kohli. Not possible to win a test without even one world class batsman. We will have the usual post mortem leading to nothing. At least the series was completed peaceful without any mishaps or cheating type allegations.

We lost this series becouse of the bowlers even thou the batting didn't do that much better.

Abrar’s economy rate in the last two tests has been a bit like the diesel prices going up every week in the UK

That's the way English batters play he has been the most impressive bowler from the side and he genuinely had to work for his wickets unlike the English bowlers.

My apologies, i was talking about the bazball name and not the tactics. Even withstanding the tactics, Pakistan more than held its own even with that bowling attack

Brendon McCullum praised Pakistan and said they played pretty well, but also that in the end England won the big moments.

I wish whomever it was that coined the term “BazBall” had never done so. Brendon himself hates the term.

England's 3-0 series whitewash over Pakistan will take a while to sink in, skipper Ben Stokes said Tuesday, calling the result "pretty special".

The tourists wrapped up the third Test and the series by effortlessly knocking off the 55 runs needed for victory, taking the match by eight wickets to go with wins by 74 runs and 26 runs in Rawalpindi and Multan.

"It won't really sink in until we get home or in the new year," Stokes said after securing what was only England's second series whitewash in the subcontinent following a similar result in Sri Lanka in 2018.

"I know it’s a cliched thing, but being out in the subcontinent is one of the hardest places to do it," Stokes said.

"I understand, and we understand, what we've done is pretty special... to win 3-0 out here, it will be something to be really proud of."

The win validated England's decision to play the bold and aggressive cricket dubbed "Bazball" after the nickname of head coach Brendon McCullum.

England under the new set-up of McCullum and Stokes have now triumphed in nine of their last 10 Tests since taking charge of a misfiring side that had won just one of their previous 17 -- including a 4-0 Ashes humiliation in Australia.

Stokes said everything he tried came off on the slow and turning pitches of Pakistan.

Seeing his tactics work in tough conditions "is the best thing", Stokes said.

He had praise for every member of his side.

"I think everyone who has played has, at some point throughout the series, put their hand up and contributed to us winning a game," he said.

"They’ve been amazing as well. Just a great place to be at the moment for a team, where everyone wants everyone to succeed and everyone understands their position in the team -- even if they’re not playing."

Stokes had warm words for leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, who at 18 years and 128 days became England's youngest Test player and then the youngest in the world to take five wickets on debut.

"For an 18-year-old to come into his first Test match and have such a cricket-savvy brain -- especially under Test-match pressure -- was really good for us," said Stokes.

"We got a sniff of what he can do with the bat as well. Very talented young man, and I think just let him progress."

This series exposes a lot more about how poor Pakistan are as opposed to how good England are.

Easily one of the poorest Pakistan test sides ever. The last competitive test team Pakistan had was in 2016.

I agree with the first paragraph fully.
This Pak squad was very very inexperienced to be led by an average tactician.
Yet in the first 2 games we were 80 and 65 runs away from victories,
Even In the 3rd test we were in a position if strength as the babar-saud partnership progressed.
Inexperience made a big difference

The England squad that toured Pakistan was not particularly experienced in Test cricket.

Stokes, Root, Anderson fair enough.

But they had debuts for Jacks, Livingstone and Rehan, an overseas debut for Brook, and Duckett playing his 5th match after being out in the wilderness for years.

Most of the England squad had about 30 Tests under their belt (max) or in many cases a lot less.

And none had played tests in Pakistan before.

True but your experienced players still make a big difference compared to ours ( Azhar Ali - lol) and even your inexperienced players I have heard of and they came in a with a bit of reputation and unlike more than half our bowling attack

"Any country that wins a series in Pakistan, it's a big achievement for them. Very big achievement for England. They came after so long, it was a historical series and they made Pakistan a history. They told us, 'we have exposed your cricket, your mentality, your system. Now, you take the decision on how to improve your cricket'. They played their own cricket.

“We know where we made mistakes. Those who made debut, did they deserve it? Did we play the XI according to pitch? The captaincy wasn't perfect. You look at Ben Stokes' captaincy and Babar's captaincy... he has been Pakistan's skipper for so long, at least have some maturity now, take better decisions. At least make your presence feel in the ground. There was nothing positive about him.”

“From the first Test till the last day of the series, every time there was a press conference, commentators and media, everyone was talking about how England dominated Pakistan. No one talked about us, no one praised us because we played with a negative approach,” said the wicketkeeper.

Shocking that Pakistan lost 0-3 against England at home.

There needs to be a leadership change perhaps.
