Wicket seems to have quickened up Archer will be a handful for the Indians. 4 dropped catches and 2 run outs missed ? That's a good 100 runs that wouldve cost the Indians... Yikess..

Aakash Deep seems to have been a fluke performance, kind of feel sorry for Siraj fielders ler him down big time in this match so far
 
I told India should look to reach 350 on this pitch, and if they continue well after that (bowl well, bat well and again bowl well), then they can force a win... Lesser than 300, was advantage to India... More than 450 would be difficult for India to match up! (If England come up with Bazball madness only then this will be possible)

So match is nicely poised now... I think England will end up around 350 and it would be interesting to see how the 2nd, 3rd & 4th innings shape up after that...

Match will see a result for sure... If England had continued their Bazwall and played today full, then we would have seen a draw result...

So-called inventors of Cricket cannot find a proper manufacturer for Balls in Tests! Its disgusting to see this... Poor overrate in this Series is mainly because of these poor-quality balls! (losing time changing them and bowlers getting uneasy with it! With good quality balls, bowlers tend to go with overs soon with increased energy!)

ICC should take action against them (through BCCI power) and India should agree to play in Tests (in England) only if they import SG Balls from India...

Not crying, but complaining on the ball (basic cricket equipment)... Even our gully cricketers play with decent balls... Probably some people don't have balls (including the supporters of this team!)

Its disgusting to see this (ball issue) and it's not just Indians, even England bowlers/captain have been changing it... Why can't they take a call mid-series itself? Sack the manufacturer OR order for a different batch to get manufactured (for International Cricket)
 
England have badly missed Atkinson in this series.
Will he feature in any of the remaining tests?
 
Ball getting out of shape frequently (mid-way while bowling) and then breakage due to this will affect the rhythm of the bowlers...

Just think what happens if BCCI opens another IPL window and cancels out BGT & ATT series... England should rely completely on Ashes... South Africa & NZ though they are competitive cannot afford longer series... India has agreed for long test series with England and Australia (after the quality of Indian Cricket has improved, of course). So we have rights to oppose against poor facilities... (be it ball or anything).

Co-Asian teams should support India, else they will face the same fate when they tour there... Let the hatred be on other things...

He's accurate and nips the ball and there's enough seam movement on offer.

While this kid has had a solid start to his career, I don't see him scoring much in South Africa or Aus.

It's all cops n robbers, dunkin donuts, fun and games on the flat roads of England and Sri Lanka etc. Must perform on the bouncy tracks of Aus/SA, score 100s in those countries is when you earn your stripes.

Forgot: also has to show up on the rank turners of India also to a lesser extent.

QDK in odi is on par with gilly as well. In tests he obviously isn't.

However Indian propaganda wont put him forward because qdk wasnt able to win a trophy while de villers was. Batting wise they are relative to one another though and qdk is a far better keeper in terms of gloves work.

Jamie smith is defo thr test equivalent to gilly. Talent wise they are =. Now whether smith manages to have the same career gilly did? Likely no.

No, Pant is not better than Gilly, but Pant is the closest thing to Gilchrist since he retired. Similar flamboyance, stroke play and aggression.

Yeah Pant is the closest since Gilly. But QDK isnt even in boot licking distance to Gilly in odi? Nonsense.

Qdk is far > Pant.

Gilly was a gun odi + test batter. No one can come close to him. Only Qdk has in odi.

And lmao, Pant and Gilly have completly seprate styles of play, they aren't even correlated 🤣🤣🤣, let alone close in terms of skill.

Both Gilchrist and Pant left handed bats, stoke play revolves around the cut and pull shot, both play with similar aggression.

Smith right handed bat with different strokeplay from the above.

Yeap makes sense Smith is the true heir to Gilchrist.

This almost seems like Inzi is the greatest batsmen of pace type talk.

Pant and this youngster Smith are top class players.

Will they ever be better than Gilly. In my opinion no. Coz he was the originator and the one who created this style.

I just raised the issue of ball... However our team and management are not too concerned and not cry-babies like England and Australia how they complain about pitches when they come to India... Indian team have always taken pitches in SENA in sportive way (whether they win or lose). Even after 2 matches (with the ball issue), they didn't make any official statement... I see how you Pakistanis lend your support to SENA teams coming to India and whenever they complain on anything (particularly the pitch).

Forget the pitch, here the issue is with the basic facility for cricket (the ball). It will be good if bowlers are allowed to bring their own ball, just like batters bring their own bats! It is the bowlers overall (from both sides) losing the rhythm in a test match... This is affecting both the teams, I am not particular about India or crying for Indian win (India can still win this match/series).

In the quest of Bazball madness, England Cricket has stooped to the level of doctoring ball... On the long term this is going to kill English Cricket altogether (no quality bowlers coming up from their country, no notable spinner)... They are declining in LOIs (losing to lesser teams). They are falsely thinking that this Bazball has improved the popularity of Cricket in their country! But its going to kill them on the long run... We don't want English team (the inventors of the game) also declining in cricket world (already we lost West Indies, Zimbabwe, threat of losing South Africa from time to time)...

Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh all are declining (for various reasons, but their fans have kept the interest alive). Pakistan's best way to come back in cricket is to compromise with India/BCCI (because they cannot avoid being obsessed with India), they will go nowhere if they keep supporting goras with blind hatred on Indians (the reason we got divided in the first place!) Though it is a Pakistani Forum you are dependent on Indian Cricket too (there are so many threads opened about Indian Cricket) and you follow Indian Matches out of curiosity!

There are people like @Mamoon who is worried about England's Bazball and Bumrah's match selections. If pitches are fair and ball is not doctored like this, everyone will be interested to play all the matches and try to help their team win! We don't want Bumrah to break his back trying hard on these pitches (as soon as he got to some kind of ryhthm, the ball gets out of shape with already the pitch being flat) As I say this affects both the teams and English Cricket on the long run!

Pant style of play hasnt been mimicked by anyone. Its unique only to him. His weird gully mohala technique works.

Gilly and smith are both no 7's whos job is to finish and hurt the opposition at the back end.

Learn to think before making stupid comparisons.
