Test cricket is very hard for leg spinners

Apart from Danish and Yasir, there has been no established leg spinner debuting since 2000
 
England doing a Pakistan here by giving debut to a player who has only played hadndfull of first class games.
 
Pathetic Pakistan 11, just 4 bowlers of which your seamers are fahim and wasim. Nauman in to throw pies to replace zahid.

He is done and dusted against fast bowling, looked like a tail ender when Robinson came on

Not unlucky at all. Pakistani batsmen keep getting out strangled down the leg side. This must be the 6th or 7th such wicket this series.

Many Pakistani batsmen ho out like that, no reason for him to retire because of that, but yes it is right time for him to retire aftrr this match. He played goodish inning today.

England's team management has schooled the Pakistani team and team management big time in this series. By their detailed planning and execution, they have taken the pitch and conditions out of the equation

A batting line up with Shan, azhar, Agha and bowlers fahim, nauman and wasim official minnow status
 
NZ bowlers will use same short ball tactics next series as well

Enough is enough.. It started when eng used bouncers in t20 series in pak specially in the matches Wood played, then Asia cup, then in NZ, then World Cup, then 2nd innings of first test, both innings of 2nd test and now 2 out of 3 wickets on short ball in this test also.... This is pathetic.. And not that we are playing on Perth.. We are getting exposed even on these slow dead pitches..
 
England expensive in that session but also played some good cricket at times.

Three wickets on this (after losing an important toss) is not a bad effort at all.

Karachi pitch not as dead as Pindi but seems to have less in it than Multan. A bit of spin there and that’s it, aside from that it’s a slow flat & dry pitch.
 
So after our 3 steamers injured, are faheem and wasim Jr the best test match pacers in pak? Like seriously??? Both are neither batsmen nor bowler... Pathetic selection.. Mir hamza, Muhammad umer, or any genuine pacer would have been there.. Someone should tell babar and selectors the difference between test and t20
 
It will be a miracle if Pakistan wins the test match with this bowling attack.
This attack isn't even better than Bangladesh.

Not sure what Yousaf can do technique wise in the middle of the series. He has already complained that the players don't execute the things he tells them ie play Mark Wood out safely and don't throw away your wicket to him. The players have to be held accountable where they have made repeated errors and not learnt from them.
 
Pakistan will fail to get past 275 with this pathetic batting line up. Expect england to smash 500 in a day on this wicket.
 
The only justification for Wasim is that Karachi you get reverse swing. But then why not Hassan Ali too?

And Wasim is also very predictable with it. England have had success because they mix up the reverse swing and their length. Wasim is just about the inswinging yorker

Quicks economical again, spinners getting hit.

I am glad they are having a look at the lad Rehan. But maybe Ovaries should have played instead of Specsavers.

Pakistani selectors killing merit , whats the use of bowlers taking wickets in doemstic cricket when yoi play a bowler with a few wickets and average of 45 in domestic. Why not just discontinue quaide azam trophy and pick players based in substandard leagues of foreign retired players PSL.
 
PCB under ramiz raja has been nothing short of disaster , even the new govt didnt change him.
 
Hassan and Mir should have played. This pitch suits Hassan style of bowling and Mir has loads of experience
 
To be fair to Shan he was playing bounce well, his dismissal shot occured due to ball not rising as much as he expected.
 
These shakeels & shafiques play with low hands disaster for away tours.. not only Pak getting whitewashed at home & the usual 3-0 in aus etc.

Pakistan should stop touring australia for tests anyway. Havent won/drawn a single test in last 27 years in australia. No matter which batsmen you take there we will be demolished.

Just look at the playing 11 no one really stands out seems like the talent in pakistan has been dried up no one has been groomed for tests in the past 10 years It's very embarrassing losing 3 tests at home

This is a very batting heavy Pak XI. Not much bowling strength in there at all. They are essentially banking on Abrar taking another ten fer.

Seems like Pak are looking to “stop the bleeding” and prioritise the draw, then if an opportunity opens up to win the game, perhaps there is something to be eked out for them.
 
No chance of draw with England batting second,tgey will go for whatever the target will be.

Abrar is a mystery spinner and we have seen how mystery spinners have done in test cricket. They usually fade away and keep playing limited overs cricket. Naseem is overrated , haris is a t20/odi bowler.
 
Losing a home series where Leech is the leading spinner is embarrassing. ICC need to revoke Pak/Bangladesh’s test status for the time being.. they just don’t know how to play the game at the moment.

England won not due to just Leach but their fast bowlers bowling with relentless line and length and reverse swing, and three pacers are of good class. Also, it is there superior and confident batting that was a major factor,not sure why you keep bring Leach to take shine off Englands victory. Leach actually bowled as well as any spinner in the series if not batter overall .
 
Babar needs a partner who can rotate strike well , babar takes a single and the whole over is played by shakeel. Not good.

I don't think he is a mystry spinner... He is a leg spinner with good googly... Usually mystry spinners are off spinners who moved the ball on both side with same action usually like mendis..

This is the best team that i can think of right now from Pakistan.
Also need to put pressure on Rizwan too. These soft runs aint helping the team.
 
How pathetic we've been really boils the blood, joke of a batsman they are nobody has a desire to score 100s let alone daddy hundreds, watch out Eng will bat then out to obscurity with 600ish
 
Ben Stokes captaincy has been godly. He just knows how to dry up the singles, boundaries and keep the fielders in to maintain pressure and take wickets.

Western teams have exposed Pakistan big time via scientific and technical preparation
