Bro, overreaction, the tournament just started. They aren't going to recover from this.
Can we capitalise?
Be careful what you wish for
This kind of defeat means England are going to come extremely hard now
If England bowl first they will win most gamesDoesn't matter. India, Australia, SA will beat th easy.
Learn to read the emotions. Mark my words they aren't recovering. Plus Morgan was crucial current captain isn't as good.
By this logic Argentina should have wrapped up in group games after losing to Saudi Arabia? Tata bye bye
England is too strong of a team to not to recover. Even English fans wouldn't react like this, this approach is quite a subcontinent fans thinking with their teams
Too early to make the prediction. Remember in WT20 2021 Australia received similar thrashing against England. Then they won the world T20![]()
Funny.
First match and England written off.
This is going to come back and bite OP.
England can’t afford any more slip ups now I recon
The thing is if you win the remaining 8 games, this heavy loss becomes irrelevant.
Its only if you win 5 or 6 games and need a semi spot, a heavy loss can be goodbye on NRR.
If you win 8 games, NRR will be out of picture.
This is what I am trying to say to everyone who thinks ENGLAND are out.

FurthermoreI mentioned in the match thread,
England most likely have preempted losses to India and Australia only. NZ was a game they most likely predicted to win. They know that SA, SL and Pak are capable of causing an upset as well against them.
5 wins is risky business for them. They are so casual at times that they can also slip up against NL and AFG too
Furthermore
A loss like this spells trouble for everyone really. They are not going to take things casually now.
Pakistan play them in the crunch parts of the league, you’d rather be playing an England that already recons they’ve won the game before the first ball, not an England side that can’t afford to lose against a middling side
Yes, Brook or Stokes at number 6Without Stokes they'll crumble. They need him back ASAP.
really good point....India does this a lot ....lol win every game and lose the semisIt is better to lose a couple of matches at the start of the tournament rather than at the end of the tournament.
Their schedule gives them time to recoverEngland can’t afford any more slip ups now I recon
This defeat reminded me of Pakistan at the 2019 World Cup when they were demolished by West Indies in their first match.
It takes a lot to recover from such a loss, especially with the NRR factor
Their schedule gives them time to recover
Next 2 matches against Bang and Afg which they will ace and can cover up NRR
Then SA and Sri Lanka. Of these they will likely win both and worst case only one. Losinh SA match is the only real banana skin for them which can impact their qualification. They will be 4/5 by end of this leg
Following which they have India and Aus games which they can afford to lose both as long as they are close losses. Thus 4/7.
Finally they have games against Ned and Pak. Eng will know exactly what to do to qualify and will come to blow away both teams on NRR.
Very very hard to stop Eng with this schedule unless SA pull off an upset and botn India and Aus play perfect games
Eng went through this 2019 as well. After they lost to pak and sl they had to win 6 games in a row to win the WC with every game being a knockout. They still can lose 2 more games I would say and still qualify. That's why their last game with pak becomes very very crucialThis defeat reminded me of Pakistan at the 2019 World Cup when they were demolished by West Indies in their first match.

People are underestimating eng here. I think they have a good chance against India and aus also. SA is the wild card here for a lot of teams thoughTheir schedule gives them time to recover

That's a good point, they dropped Roy for Harry Brook who had a terrible time in India during the IPL. At least that should have served as a reminder to the English selection panel.Dropping Roy was a poor decision if you ask me.
They needed Roy and Bairstow to open with Malan coming in at 3. Then Root, Butler and then Brooks.
Livingstone is the one who they need to think about.

I didn't pick Brook in my fantasy team purely on the basis of how he struggled in the IPL![]()
Come on this match was hardly anything like the Windies match. England started well and were ahead at one point, everyone seemed to get a good start and the batting just failed to go into high gear without getting out. Yes the bowling was weak but it was a flat pitch. This defeat reminded me of Pakistan at the 2019 World Cup when they were demolished by West Indies in their first match.

they reall were never all that great. even last 2019 they fluked it. took humongous amount of luck to win.Learn to read the emotions. Mark my words they aren't recovering. Plus Morgan was crucial current captain isn't as good.
yea in england maybe. no where else in odi or tests. this isnt t20. flat track bullies will get found out soon.I won't exclude them from the top 4 race just based on one poor performance.
They are stiil very much capable of doing strong come back.
I wouldn’t write them off at all. I expect England to bundle their way through to the semis, and from there it’s anyone’s game
They’ll win enough games to not require NRR.NRR could become an issue for them.
They’ll win enough games to not require NRR.
Wrap it up folks, Engand lost their first match and are out of the world cup. No need to play the rest of the tournament
What is the reason both of England lose so far ?Interesting result here. It makes the WC more interesting in coming days.
Eng game is not suitable for certain conditions. At least that was true in this game. I did not watch other game to comment. What is the reason both of England lose so far ?

Australia below even Netherlands is a strange satisfaction
Poor guy is not even a head coach for the limited over eng team don't bring him in.What happened to Bazball?
Proving being 100% aggressive is also determinantal.
Bazball is a mentality, and not confined by a human embodiment.Poor guy is not even a head coach for the limited over eng team don't bring him in.
