What's new

England beat Pakistan by 330 runs in the 2nd Test

Our players are idiots. Second time weve reviewed it after gloving it. Also they shouldve checked on snicko too like they always do. Wonder why they didnt this time

I think they only do that when theres no clear evidence. Or a faint edge. This was a obvious decision with hotspot

First of all the overs remaining are more than 100, so it can be achieved.

If I say we aren't winning, then what's the point of the batsmen carrying on? Shouldn't they declare?

Not giving up at this stage is not crazy or delusional, if I say we will win after we lose then that would mean I am crazy or delusional.

1. One error and we are down to tail of Pakistan.

2. Pakistan doesn't bat at R/R of 4.5 required to win this game in 100 overs or so.

3. If you say Pakistan will win AFTER they LOSE it is 100 percent delusional, but to say Pakistan will win WHEN EVERY SIGN SHOWS that they would be lucky to escape with a draw, IT HIS NOTHING SHORT OF EUPHORIC THINKING.

4. Anyhow, I don't mind you thinking we can win, I just wish you realize, that you are just isolating yourself by ridiculous assertions that you make.

lol, what a joke of a team.

Would love to see the Englishmen mocking the push-up celebration after this thumping comes to an end.

Mo Yusuf Shoaib Akthar were not wrong in chanting Asad Shafiq's name every other sentence....gun player

England lost the Test, we didn't win.

One team wins and the other loses.

If you don't want to give credit to the winning team, by blaming the losing team, that's your prerogative.

But it makes you look funny to do this.

Sami Aslam, Iftikhar Ahmed, M.Rizwan, Imran Khan Should Be Selected Ahead Of Shan Masood, Azhar Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed And Rahat Ali Respectively In the next test

Sarfraz is a pathetic Test cricketer overseas.

The 2013 tour of South Africa was not an exception.

We just can't help but feed Woakes wickets.

Giving wickets to Moen who is bowling pies is worse. Same mistake India did. Over-attacking him. Esp in Pakistans case when there was no point in hitting fancy sixes

I didn't see anything wrong with the celebration...nothing offensive or obnoxious....was rather sweet

Exactly.....and people here were making fun of Indian batsman....Infact Ali has been more off color in this series and has bowled more pies :))

No it's based on logical assumptions.

And that's why I am surprised, that someone who uses logic in religion and actually believes in Islam as a logical religion, would lose all logic when it comes to sporting scenarios.

Logic should be used in every field of life.

If 99 percent believe Pakistan can't win, it is because that is logical result. It's not because that's their own opinion and you have a different opinion.

History has proved that from this point on, LOGIC SUGGESTS, SIDES lose.

Defying logic is the hardest thing in this world, and the chances of that are one in million.

It's okay to even believe in that.

BUT WHEN YOU SAY IN EVERY MATCH THAT LOGIC WILL BE DEFIED, it no longer becomes just a difference of opinion, but corruption of mind.

Hope you understand what I mean.

Don't want to psychoanalyze you on a cricket forum :)

We all have to accept that our batting line up will not score over 300 this whole series. And we have to rely on our bowling to compete in this series.

Pathetic batting. On a flat wicket, we won't score more than 200 in both innings. Hafeez, Masood, Azhar out asap

And people thought Cook's decision to bat again can potentially backfire.

He knew the worth of this rubbish lineup. In hindsight, he will be disappointed he didn't go for his hundred along with Joe Root.

Both could have scored 150s and England would still have won today.

For God Sake they should have atleast Gritted today out and with Rain around tmmrw could have made a Meal out of the match

This is not corruption of mind, but my thinking is in a way realistic, because the match is still not over, when the match isn't over why should anyone give up? Yes, the probability of winning may be low, but still one should fight till the end, and when it is lost officially, then one must accept defeat.

Pakistan was brilliant in last Test, while England not.

And vice versa in this match.

Yasir was brilliant, Pakistan was average.

England have had a good collective effort here, with Root the standout player.

We are 7 down in the time it took for you to believe in miraculous happenings.

Do you still think Rahat and Amir and Wahab will give you the win ? :)

You're right. I'm just hoping we can learn from these mistakes for the next match.

England have been brilliant in this match, Pakistan wasn't in the last match.

And Pakistan was in last game.

You don't want to give credit then it's your opinion but doesn't change a thing!

Oh bhai only Yasir was outstanding, our overall team performance was below par at Lord's.

Lol, even if one doesn't they are defeated.

No choice either way.

Yep, we're done for. Congrats England, well played. MOTM to Joe Root for excellent piece of cricket in this Test match. Pak you better hang your heads in shame

Me too. Was rather wishing for this for spicying things up. Pakistani fans, apart from The Last Of The Stars, not looking much confident at the moment. Need someimpetus to rile them up..

Seriously how can you not play well on a flat pitch? I just don't get it at all.

Can some one kindly answer . Why was shafiq given out if onfield umpire gave it not out . Is it because it was hitting leg stump rather than clipping it?

Yasir picked up 5 wickets in first innings and 5 in second.

Other bowlers managed to pick up 10 wickets.

Unless you claim that they had no influence whatsoever in making England 63-4 in 2nd innings.

More than 50 percent of the ball was hitting leg stump.

Wasn't just clipping.

The first Test was closer, but we outplayed England in it. Here, they have been strong, but we have folded timidly.

lol, and who you were calling will flunk the moment he'll step out of sub continent.

On contrary, Misbah's 100 and Asad's contribution towards 339 in first innings total didn't mean anything right, BRAVO :14:

Hafeez, Masood, Younis, Azhar, Sarfraz, Wahab and Rahat were liabilities. Yasir was brilliant, Misbah was great, Shafiq was good and Amir was okay.

When 7 out of 11 players are awful, you can't call it a great performance.

In this Test, apart from Hales, Vince and Ballance, none of the English players have been awful.

It has been a solid team effort with Root stealing the show.

Whatever I was calling Yasir doesn't matter, he performed brilliantly there. Yes he got some lucky wickets but it was a quality effort.

Misbah failed in the second innings and Shafiq was good but not outstanding.

Rest were failures apart from Amir, who was okay.

Have to give some credit to the Pakistani fans. Couldnt imagine standing behind such a team.

Second biggest defeat (by runs) in Pakistan's history on the cards here.

The last Test we lost in England (Lord's 2010), it was our biggest innings defeat.

Good that you've admitted it wasn't only Yasir who win the game.

Plus in 2nd innings it was Rahat's spell which opened the gate for us.
