What's new

England beat Pakistan by 330 runs in the 2nd Test

So disappointing from Hafeez. Does all the hard work and throws it away. Lol Misbah. I'm perfectly fine with him playing that with mid on up

Throws it away?

Give credit to the bowler as well and the ball spun.

Yunus looking alot settled now. The jumping around seems to have gotten less

You are right as 42 years Old Younis struggles against Pacers especially in Seamers friendly conditions plus he isn't in best of Form either.

But I hope he scores a Century if not than atleast a fifty.

Brain **** of Akmal level.

:uakmal

shot

I'd rather see Umar Akmal/Ahmed Shahzad in the XI than Hafeez/Shan/Azhar

Rubbish from Younis. Disgusting. Such an experienced guy gifts his wicket like that.

Younis will be off to fishing trip middle of the test match.

No idea what he was thinking. He was probably the only guy with the huge hundreds under his belt with the experience and ability to bat for hours and hours.

We were so bad in this test match from ball one and now we have hit the lowest we are playing Mooen Ali into form. Unbelievable Jeff

What a toss, why go for that shot? What are they trying to prove?

Playing to alis strengths, and Cook would be happy to keep ali on no matter how many runs you score against him. The more you play him the more he will bowl him

It's too late now to pay any heed to common sense. Might as well try hitting Moeen for six every ball.

Might as well turn the TV off, no chance of a draw.

I'm looking forward to some changes for the 3rd test match.

Keep donating wickets to Moen Ali.

Pak doing the same mistake as India. Attack him and that is when he becomes a good bowler.

YK is finished

He was finished 4 years ago. Problem is if there was anyone who had the guts and balls to show the selection committee that they deserve to be in the test side then younis would've been finished years ago. Fact is, there is no one who would replace younis and do better.

Stokes injury was a blessing in disguise for England. Now Moeen is bowling a lot more and he has got 2 of the big scalps.

a big hundred was on the cards and he ends up giving his wicket away like that. If this was Umar Akmal protesters would have burnt his house by now

What a fool, he's the only batsman in the team who can literally smother the ball for hours and hours, and then he decides to throw it away

Dancer gone :( No more quality dance on TV for 9 days. I will miss his dancing :(

disgusting

did not expect this from an experienced player like YK when his team needed him most.
Same think Misbah did in 1st inning

YK isn't out of form by any means, we're going to have to play him in the next two Tests hoping for some big performances but the thing is that he gifted his wickets away.

Only Pakistan would play a completely out of form bowler bowling head high full tosses into form.

Unbelievable performance from ball 1 of this test match

That man was almost guaranteed to take a catch after Botham spent so long moaning about him being positioned too deep

I'm genuinely saddened by Younis Khan's act of suicide on the cusp of the drinks' break.

An equally Past His Best Javed Miandad did the exact same thing in the West Indies in 1993, when he skied a catch off Carl Hooper close to the end of Day 4.

Like Younis, Javed could no longer score off the quicks and was reduced to trying to slog runs off the spinners.

Asad Shafiq is the only one of the six batsmen whim Mickey Arthur can give a future too. Misbah would be fine, but only if he was 32, not 42.

Asad being one of the better batsman in the team better play a long and big innings here.

Ain't you English? You should be happy for your home team Junaids ji.

Or you consider Pakistan home team too?

So where is everyone who were saying that Indian batsmen got out to Ali because of his skill and Indian batsmen's inability to play quality spin :))

Infact he just got 2 of your top batsmen who have a reputation of being good players of spin out

I totally agree. To be honest, Misbah should be paid a lot of money to not retire. Kick the rest out, maybe at best keep Azhar in your squad but he's pathetic too. Get youngsters in there with misbahs guidance and then he can move the mantle on.

I'm willing to go through the Windies phase and the SA 03/04 phase and just give Babar Azam captaincy in all formats, to try and rebuild a team around him.

Lets see if these 2 can grind away and bee there at the close of play. Surely would give england something to worry about

I'm English, but I've been a fan of the Pakistan team for 40 years!

I tend not to use this forum to discuss my own team. To tell the truth, I think our bowling has been really ordinary and that Pakistan should be leaving alone all these balls they get caught off.

Can't believe Pakistan's best batsman bats below a found out Azhar Ali, a no hoper (but hopper) Younis and a 43 year old (but still good) Misbah.

Pakistan lost it in first innings itself.

They should have got at least 350 , poor batting.

The World Test League starts in 20 months, but Misbah will be 45 then.

In my opinion the time has come to give 20 months experience to Jaahid Ali, Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel. Like the Australia of Steve Waugh and Dean Jones there would initially be lots of defeats but the end result is years of success.

Every extra Test for Hafeez, Masood, Younis and Misbah just steals from the experience that the World Test League team will need before 2018.

Robert Keane: "Pakistan at 311 for the loss of 14 wickets closing in on the total set by Root of 325-1." Slowly slowly catchy monkey
