What's new

England beat Pakistan by 330 runs in the 2nd Test

We made Ballance a world class batsman in our tour and Woakes looked a trundler.

Pakistan have made Ballance a tailender but Woakes a world class bowler.

in some ways, this is the right sort of situation for what is a largely defensive batting lineup

Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahah catching practice. That was probably the easiest slip catch Ive seen. Took about 2 seconds to get to the fielder

One man's misery is another man's celebration. The Good news for Hafeez is that he's not the one who started the collapse here.

:)) :))

Shan Masood averages 2.5 vs Anderson, scoring a total of 15 runs off his bowling. He's been dismissed 6 times by him.

Azhar has to step up NOW, we've invested a lot in him and he's due for a big ton

Shan is going to get dropped now. There's absolutely no chance he plays the next Test.

Anderson is bowling in the high 70's... Shan Masood just doesn't have a technique... That ball would be blocked by someone like cook or root... He had to play at it, but the idiot played it with glued feet

Azhar please for once look to score runs and not stand there like miniclip cricket game throwing balls at you

Now can we get rid of Shan Masood for good or more chances should be given to him ??

How Shan made the international team is a big mystery as his FC record even in domestic is pretty average

There is no point just hanging around there , score some for Gods sake. Totally timid batting lineup.

Playing Anderson is not that easy

It didn't move, it would have been wide of a fifth stump and it was above bail height.

Shan Masood should have left it alone on line, and he should have left it alone on height. The fact that he can't judge either to a straight ball is just astonishing.

If that delivery was bowled to cook or root you'd see them get behind the line to block it.... I wouldn't say it's about leaving it, it's also about a good technique to get behind the line to defend it which Masood just cannot do!

It took us a decade to get rid of farhat and now we have found a poor man's farhat in masood.

We always keep such nazar butus with us sirafshi quota is taken seriously in Pakistan.

Shan Masood joins an illustrious club of batsmen with that dismissal - Tendulkar, Kohli, Masood.

I think Mickey Arthur gave Azhar a good telling off, hopefully in for a big ton.

So unless Babar is called up from the A squad to play in a position he doesn't like to play then Sami Aslam will start the next Test.

Must say I don't really rate his technique against swing either but again, can he really be worse than Shan?

It's remarkable that despite looking untroubled in this series, hafeez has thrown it away every match

Much as I want these guys to play on, I am keenly awaiting the younis khan ballet

Azhar blockathons have been biggest crime this series. #3s aren't supposed to block block. Their primary role is to define momentum of the innings. Lil mind games that subconsciously effects the teams.

Hafeez and Azhar should swap their positions in batting order.

Such a naive understanding when it comes to HR management.

Get the scoreboard moving Mr Azhar.

Someone on Twitter just picked up on something very telling in the English bowling right now...

Look at the speeds of Anderson, he's hovering around 78-81 mph (slowing down considerably) to extract some movement in the air and the natural variation in the pitch makes the bowl seam around with the overcast conditions.

With two swing bowlers in Rahat and Amir I was disappointed a lot because both of them bowled incredibly short and never tried any pace variation (bowling 85-87 mph). I don't know what the Analysts are doing in the team but things like this need to be picked up and made aware of to bowlers who share the new ball.

Masood is a trash batsman though, I feel we need to drop him for Sami Aslam

what if pakistan chase this guys.....I have a feeling that we will inshallah. Please everyone here pray at least 2 nafals for our team.

Pakistan need the following batting line up atm:

Azhar Ali
Pujara
Misbah
Dravid
Misbah
Chanderpaul

Sub: Gavaskar

Hafeez will score big and cement himself for next two tests.

Spot on.

It's not like Anderson and Broad are doing something revolutionary either. It's common sense! I remember Waqar and Wasim doing that countless times to great effect. Wasim, especially was brilliant at that.

Stokes and Moeen shouldnt be a problem. Anderson and Broad wont be much of a problem when the ball gets old

Bhai, lets pray two nafals for a draw.

Chase isn't happening.

1. Its 560 runs

2. We bat at 1.5-2 runs per over.

What? did you not see the first innings.

All our bowlers have bowled in the same range 77 to 81 mph with no variations of speed this was criminal, and it was made to look like net practice for english batsman all left arms bowling from the same angle at the same speed.

And finally Rahat wished he could touch 85mph. Our fast bowlers have been awful in this match and its the team management fault for not being pro active and thinking off adding a right arm fast in the team.

Anderson is the best pacer to watch since Wasim in my opinion.
