Babar needs to be little careful for the first few overs of the day.

Should go for the century and help Pakistan take a decent lead. Batting in 4th innings will be difficult.

Huge day and a humongous first session.
We need to be still be batting at the end of the day - otherwise we are behind in this game
Saud and Babar need to keep going for a good while.
Good luck chaps

Huge innings for Babar.

A pretty 60 won't do here, needs to ton up and drag some runs out of all these allrounders too. If they couldn't chase on that last pitch then being left anything up around 200 will be very difficult. So Pakistan need a lead here, a significant one.

300 probably not enough although it keeps Pakistan in the game. 350 minimum really needed. 400 is a strong position.

Babar should display Luka Modric Croatian style counter punch & let this samba bazball bite the dust in Multan. Square the series 1-1 & go to our fortress National Stadium Karachi.

I don’t think our batting line up has ever looked so weak. One more wicket and we are 3 down and into the start of the tail.
I still don’t understand Aghas selection.

May not be an entertaining day. But it will be an absorbing day given the gambles of Stokes like Root bowling more overs than Robinson/Anderson/Wood.

I think they picked agha to make it look like azhar wasn't dropped for poor form but for allowing picking more all rounders and agha as backup spin option. Otherwise with 5 bowling options already they could have easily picked shan masood over azhar but then it would have clearly sent message that time is up for azhar which our weak captain and management may be too afraid to do with a senior.

On the flip side agha did okay in last test and had seen England Bowling once already so that could be a reason to continue with him.

Weird pitch. Extremely dry. ALthough cracks are there pitch is still low. You can take your time and play off the backfoot.

On this pitch you can play all day if you really want. Can't believe England surrendered 10 wickets on day 1 lol

Babar will remain average to good player in test matches. He is not learning the art to build his innings. If he cant do it after player 45+ tests them it will not be done on later on

Frustrating dismissal but was one heck of a delivery lol

Anyone can get a good ball why are you so dramatic

Babar scores quickly in tests, which is more damaging, the time of scoring big double and triple hundreds on slow pace has gone now

Why isn't Sony showing it on TV today. They have 4 Channels, on 2 they are showing India's match and on other 2 some random football highlights.
Anyone from India, why aren't they showing?

Umm not really. Big daddy hundreds win test matches.
Anyway, not to be for him today but played well.

Babar scored 54 runs in 70 balls against spinners (Root, Jacks, Leach). It was an easy passage for him.

Babar as usual gets exposed like a school boy against the big teams and on the big stages.

just hit a couple of boundaries to disrupt the field bu Pakistan and self combustion are match in heaven

If Pakistan doesn't have any young keeper whom they want to groom, they should immediately call Sarfaraz back in test squad. Rizwan can't never be a test player with so much technical flaws and zero off side game.

Rizwan is a horrible player in longer format. Can't even take single to open his account. Should bat at 7 or 8.

Today's play is a reflection of how good players groom and build careers of younger ones. Till Babar was there Saud looked comfortable and was scoring freely without any pressure.

Now with Rizwan he looks under immense pressure and afraid of getting out.

This is why trusting your own ability is important. Can’t always rely on the old guard to guide you and give you confidence, some of whom may not be mentally tough.

Can’t always have an elder hold your hand and guide you.

Saud shakeel too is a limited batsman ,no flare whatsoever. Not even trying to score runs.

Rizwan pushes for wrong reviews from behind the wickets and killing the innings wth his poor batting.

28 deliveries to get going? What is this? :)))

I know we have a dearth of talent in Pakistan currently but come on man. What has happened to him this year.

Rizwan needs to make it count now after having a proper sighter otherwise it’s going to look very ugly

Fear of failure, being scared of the opposition, giving too much respect to the opposition. An eternal problem of the Pakistani team. The entire system is plagued by this virus.
