I dont really care about winning or losing but the worrying signs are the new players coming in with a very poor approach towards batting.You dont need anyone at number 4 and 5 who just stall the innings. Number 4 and 5 usually most fluent players in the batting lineup.
 
They need a 120 and 130 runs partnership otherwise Pakistan is losing the match
 
Rizwan needs to show honesty and be selfless by excusing himself from 3rd test. Let Sarfaraz play who is better test player than him.
 
Stokes is a smart captain and the English team management is pretty proactive. They have identified the strengths and weaknesses of each batsmen and the release shots of every player and have placed fielders accordingly to either get them to hit out after plenty of dot balls or to restrict them to singles.

He has something to offer but he’s mentally shot after the India game and Zimbabwe game. Was in great form pre tournament but after those two brain fades he’s checked out mentally.

Give him a break for a few months. Tell him to take a vacation and come back stronger.

Yup, it’s frustrating. He went from No allrounders to playing 2 fake allrounders.
I still can’t understand how Shan Masood is not in this line up.
 
Lol Salman Ali Agha was picked for his apparent so called ability to play spin.
 
This series is just experimentation, no way are we playing our best players from Pakistan. Agha Salman never makes an international Test side, his technique is too loose for this level.

Not convinced with Saud Shakeel either.

Disagree. Nawaz is just not fit for test cricket. Zero temparament. A pure T20 player.

He is the biggest parchi ever, one of the worst techniques I have seen of a Pakistani batsman.

The tail starts once Babar Azam gets out. Prepare a flat wicket and England will score 8 an over. Prepare a turning wicket and Leach will get you. 3rd test will be pace bowler friendly and watch Wood and Anderson tear you apart.
 
Both imam and agha struggled in QEA yet they were picked ahead of likes of Usman Hurraira.
And when will Babar’s love for bits n pieces in test cricket end.

Misbah and Yunis were the last true Test specialists for Pakistan. Their absence seems to have left an unfillable void.

Brutal reality check for Pakistan the Australian and now the English series. The entire PCB from chairman, coaching staff, captain, players and team philosophy needs to be over hauled.
 
I knew Pakistan would collapse after losing a few wickets, tail starts at 5 with RIzwan.

I called out yesterday before the first ball was bowled. How can you have just 3 genuine batters (Imam, Shafique and Babar) in a test match against such top class team?

Even out of those 3, 2 are known for soft runs when there is no pressure.

I mean this is not freaking t20 where even your no. 11 can hit a boundary or two.
 
Babar is the only pillar in pakistan lineup. Uf he falls early very unlikely anyone will score runs.
 
Misbah lost tests against Sri Lanka West Indies and Zimbabwe at home in UAE this England team is a more challenging team than them without the spinners he had he would be useless here nothing much any captain can do with these players selected and the batting approach being adopted.

Imam is a Rawalpindi road specialist a tailender as an opener in any conditions which help the fast bowlers.
 
You cannot expose the tail to Mark Wood. Absolutely dumb cricket awareness from Faheem. He should have expected Stokes to bring back Wood for Zahid.

Not really. Babar himself is a softie under pressure and against quality attacks. Not surprisingly he went missing when the team really needed him.

No you are wrong, he knew Wood will be bowling next, so cleverly stayed on non striker end.

Well he had Ajmal Yasir Rehman as his spinners Younis and a few others batsmen who were averaging over 50 on those wickets Babar has a big challenge with this team selected to win matches in more varied conditions in Pakistan.
 
So England will score minimum of 170 and Pakistan chasing around 280 collapse to 200 . Bye
