Yeah and trundling along also doesn't help anything. If Bengalis had some fast bowlers, they might actually win a test match once in a while.

Always funny to see minnows acting like Pakistan should look up to them because they have won a few JAMODIs.

Azhar would be hoping Bairstow and Ali finish game in the 46th over otherwise it will be awkward for him.

RADAR less pace never works, not even in Test; otherwise Tait would have played many more matches. These days there are too many teams & the quality is polarized, therefore over a period the stats dilutes. If you can't keep it on target, you can't survive in big league - as simple as that.

yes Gul getting clean chit for another series because England wants to go home easy and not take any risk. on another day they would take Gul to cleaners.

not that special. Today other Asian side would have run through Eng late order. Our spinners are just crap. This was an ideal pitch for spinners. Shouldn't allow Bairstow and Stokes to put up 100 runs partnership with two spinners bowling. They both struggle against spin.

I understand your point , but Aussies already had good fast bowlers . Tait was not that bad in shorter formats.

they certainly would on another day, but since its 40+ overs and he did snatched a game from Eng in 2010 by reversing, I thought its not beyond him to do it again.
 
This series has showed that Pakistan truly deserve the 9th ranking , simply no dignity also.
 
I reckon if we had Hafeez and Ajmal then we would've had England 8 down
 
Azhar has done this for the second time. Hitting the stumps at the crunch. Good eye
 
Stupid running between the wickets from a set batsman.

Runout is a crime at this stage when you know you can milk 5 remaining overs of irfan by a part timer

That actually helped him - he could hide under his colleagues (read other way - you are the 4th pacer after Mac, Gill & Lee). Imagine him to be the spearhead of India or SRL - teams would have waited for him to miss the Radar just for once a over.
 
Get Ali and the match will turn other side heavily

These are the matches Azhar is costing PAK - no way PAK can contain ENG for 247 on this track. He should have planned his bowling & fielding to finish the game inside 45 overs either way. Never liked the idea of taking off Irfan after 5 overs either.
 
Good over by Azhar. Only gives up 4 runs. At least giving an outside chance to our real bowlers to have a chance for a miracle.

It takes a brave captain to do that , Azhar is not even average.
 
Azhar is such a nice guy and a hardworking guy. Maybe he shouldn't be in the odi team but some of the personal abuse he gets is absolutely disgraceful

I saw. But human of his size actually burns so much energy even for walking that, if he can't do it in 1st spell, he can hardly make a come back. May be, couple more overs limping & then off. In T20 also, he should bowl 4 overs at one go.
 
Just tuned in, was away all morning!

Well we bowled decently if Irfan hadn't got fitness issues who knows what could've happened!

It was the wrong decision to select him if this is the state of his fitness. Arthur won't want him in the squad again

Well, good effort team Green! Much better after first 3 ODIs. Hopefully we can win final ODI to salvage some pride.
 
Trying to defend 250 odd is never going to work just treat it like a test match .
Sonething azhar cannot fathom . Should give the last ODI to sarfraz so he gets a feel of the job.

I don't know to be honest. May be once ENG plays with better sides than PAK, we'll be able to tell. As of now, ENG has a very good depth for which they maintain a decent RR through out, which is nourished by milking Azhar's field set up. May be some one like MSD would tell them to hit it out or choke down - no milking.

But the transformation is really surprising, suddenly such depth.

Also , I think Bailey was brought to the set up by Straus specially for OD cricket.
 
Azhar is by far the weakest individual I've ever seen, I bet he never got in trouble as a kid.
 
I really like Hasan Ali he's a good bowler has picked up a wicket in most matches, just needs a 4/5fer to his name to get going. Also he needs to go for about 45 runs instead of 50 plus! Gul and Irfan bowled great!

On a side note what happened to Irfan how did he get injured?
