England defeat Pakistan by four wickets to take 4-0 lead in 5 match series

Nawaz bowling is no better than Imad , but Imad is better batsman .

Pakistan can afford to play only one of these two.

No doubt effort was good but there have been planets of better catches taken in international matches.. It wasn't impossible.. Catches like that can turn a loss into a win.. Why teams like Aus, SA have always been successful is because of fielding Which gets ignored in sub continent..
 
Imad should focus on his batting & try to become a specialist bat, who can bowl a bit. He has absolutely no clue of turning the ball - his domestic bowling stats are the credit to the PCB farmers, they call curator (trust me, with the batting quality in PAK domestics, on some of those wickets, our Arafat'll average in single digit with baseball like economy). Imad will keep pegging on wickets defending 350+ or when he is bowling against IRL, Holland; but in such situations like today, he can't flight & turn the ball even 3 inch to get a middle order out.

If you can't even see a difference between the darter and Nawaz then you should stop watching.

That was exactly my point. Eng were 72/4. Not only have our spinners not taken any wickets, but England have easily scored at 5+ through the entire partnership. So basically both spinners have been useless.

Window for a miracle win is fast closing.... probably need a double strike now, even a single wicket will not bring us back into the game.

The only difference is you like nawaz and not Imad hence you perceive him to be better even though both are mediocre
 
I am not sure from where my [MENTION=132916]Junaids[/MENTION] boss saw Hasan Ali, but any given day I'll play Anwar over him. I don't know what he offers to be honest - pace is no issue these days; in Bangladesh, we have at least 2 dozen pacers who can clock around 134km; he is 5'9"; his ideal batting position is No. 10 even in this PAK team, because today Irfan is playing.

Sorry for the young man, but just not good enough & I don't think he is young enough to improve drastically either. I'll spend that resource on Ehsan Adil & try to improve Aamir/Yasir's batting.
 
hasan ali hyped as the right handed amir... getting smacked all over the park.... i think ammad butt will be the same as well...
 
I said the other day that Hasan Ali was the next Bhatti and he's proving me right. Who's next, Amad Butt? Amir Yamin? Hope they are better.
 
PAK has to sacrifice one of Imad or Nawaz. Professional teams won't allow to get away with 20 overs of similar spin.
 
This really is a model one day innings .. they lost wickets quickly at the top .. 70/4 .. but never let the run rate drop .. without slogging! Just cricketing shots .. they're batting at almost 6 an over .. this is a very very good team!

Please don't blame the bowlers. It's not their fault. They have been heroic to keep Pakistan in the game in a totally hopeless case. Imad showed how easily Pakistan could have gotten a competitive 300 if they had batted even half-decently earlier on.

Stokes and Bairstow are just doing normal batting without nervy pokes or stupid hoicks and that's all that is needed to easily get to 300 type scores here. If England needed they would get 325.

A player like Braistow not getting games , that shows the kind of bench strength Poms have in Batting and all rounder spots.

No I like both. iPad is a much better batsman, Nawaz a much better bowler.
 
Pakistan need to play Imad as Batting all rounder and make him bat at number 4.

Get in a seam bowling all rounder at number 8 .

We are desperately in need of a spinner who can choke the runs flow.unfortunately imad and nawaz are not able to do that job for us.

Won't, if he is played at his proper position & at right format - I'll take any bet on that.

The zenith of PAK's Batting intellectualism are Basit Ali class; so the bet is off, if he is debuted in T20 & then played to win it from 6.
 
Pathetic batting earlier on by the Kaptaan and now even worse captaincy. Need to get rid of this rubbish player out of the team
 
England will be indeed one of the favourites in next 2 ICC events at home (they made it to the Final last time with that team, until MSD got them melted - this is a far better unit), but they won't be taking PAK in 4 KOs that one would need to win, for this 2 titles........

This is another mistake which pakistan selectors often make , playing the players in wrong format.
 
May be Azhar knows that he'll not enjoy Captaincy for long, so like flight hour, he is trying to increase "Captaincy hour" for his resume.

PAK'll keep England on field for 45 overs, I guess.

Nawaz needs to improve his batting so that we can replace Imad with a specialist spinner.

That is the only formula for a batting line up that we have, Needs to dry up runs to have some competitive cricket otherwise teams will roll over us like England is doing right now.

I wonder what Mickey is so upset about.. the only thing that I can think of is that we have people like Irfan who bowl one spell and then they're done .. how do you play such players? Absolutely useless in the field .. Sohail khan did it too in the test matches .. first spell would be good and decent pace .. then high 70s low 80s ..
