England end Day 3 at 112/2, needing 55 runs to win the 3rd Test in Karachi

Last nail in coffin, embarrassing 3-0 home loss and getting smashed here like a T20 game.
 
will eng request (will they even need it?) an extra 30 mins of play to finish things off?
 
England are playing an unbelievable brand of cricket here but that should not be an excuse. This is Pakistan's fortress and they are getting hammered like it's a T20 game. This game was important irrespective of the fact that the series was lost. It still had WTC points riding on it and more so every international test match is important.
 
It's a good strategy for England to put the spinners on the defensive before they can get into rhythm and before the ball gets a bit old
 
Hopefully few sackings after New Zealand series. England has finished test cricket of Pakistan.
 
umpire officially warned Pakistani bowlers and skipper: Dont finish the bloody game today, take it into 4th day I need the money, please....
 
Damn...y they going at 10 an over...to finish in an hour they need 15 an over..common guys

Getting whitewashed in a 3 match Tret series at home doesn't happen at all. Not to big Test sides. I can't remember the last time any of India, ENG, SA , OZ got whitewashed like that. Has happened to SL I think.
 
On a serious note, abrar needs to take the pace off a wee bit... bowl it a touch slower... esp when bowling with a new ball.
 
England are changing how test cricket is played. But it will be interesting to see how they adapt when this doesnt work. Do they keep attacking no matter what or revert to more traditional test cricket
 
Our team will cut a cake if we bowl a maiden or take it into 4th day... look at the positives boi's.... qudrat ka nizaam

Will work at home now and again and against atrocious attacks like pak but no chance in hell Bazball will work against the Aussies or India away from home

Happened to England in 1984. I watched the whole thing. Nil-five not nil-three as well.

Australia in 1989 would have beaten us nil-six but for the rain. England were not in it for one single session.

That's my point though. You had to go back 38 years to show me when this happened to England. That's well before I was born.

It certainly has not happened in my lifetime. So, yes. This is a disgraceful performance
 
Dont think Bazball would work on yesterday's Gabba pitch....that was different level bounce, swing, seam and also turn for lyon
But all the same young Rehan's success has given a different dimension to Eng attach.
with Leach it will be a good combo. And i feel Root has improved as a spin bowler as well.
dont think too many countries would prepare turning wickets..

Kiwis are a more traditional test side. England is right now executing a high risk high reward strategy and its working for them. Wont work for everyone

Leach is an average bowler and most top teams would feast on rehan and root.

Pak have a habit of making some of the worst bowlers look WC
 
Pak run rate was 2.88. You simply cannot beat this england team playing like that. But there was no counter attack
 
And that was missing in the first inning someone bowl tighter line to keep run rate in check. Babar captaincy alone cost Pakistan many matches.

This is demolition. Cancel Pakistan's test status. They simply don't have ability to play tests these days.
 
Babar's future as a batsman is also looking bleak. This guy is nowhere to near future great. He can be decent batsman that's it but no threat to a opposition team.

nothing batting related would work on a track where matches with competent batting lineups end in 2 days
 
Babar has already cost us few T20 tournaments, many test series and still will be captain of ODI to cost us few 50 Over World Cups.
 
Pakistan were 154 for 3. The target should have been at least 300 here. Total collapse

That's why I am so happy for England fans like you who have gone through that kind of low period as well & still continued their support . I think Pakistan was unbeaten in England for 24 years between 1982 to 2006. Strong England test side after 2005 Ashes is great for the overall game & more importantly it makes Australia - England rivalry exciting for us neutral fans.

Pakistan have gone through the motions the whole day and innings. Felt that way yday too when they were bowling. Not sure why when there is still some pride to play for on avoiding the ignominy of being whitewashed at home. Playing half a bowling attack doesn't help ofc.
 
England pundits were pretty honest about this pak attack, saying its the weakest they have seen for a very long time

You have to give the New England credit. They thumped the test world champs, beat India in one test then battered a much more powerful Saffer attack than this Pakistan unit.
 
Shame this is happening at Karachi where we have the best W/L ration of any nation at any venue.

But this team and administration are utterly shameless.
 
Duckett has gone berserk. Batting rate 164 opening in a test.
