Alhamdolillah. Now head down. Yup, he vocally credits and looks up to YK. Not sure if you guys saw the YK interaction uploaded on PCB’s channel (Youtube). Of all the batsmen listening only SM was jotting notes. Love his ethic. Pretty sure Babar will be itching to get back out there.
 
What a knock by my second fav batsman for Pakistan.

A real slap in the face to all those haters. I'm so haps for him.
 
Amir sohail got 205 here in 1992.. something for shan to aim at.
 
Younis pretending to take down notes all day and justify the salary, he's probably just doodling on the pad.

I give credit where its due, Shadab has rotated strike nicely but we still have work to do, and he must perform with the ball too as he is an allrounder.

Also forgive me for wanting to see a guy who has 30+ FC tons and FC average of 55 to be given a fair chance.

True, Shan has very little natural talent. But his concentration and determination is amazing. He hasn't gone fishing for anything outside off stump this whole innings.
 
If this lad was Babar Azam everyone would be talking about it but because it is Shan, no one is talking about it. He's young. He's elegant and he's got swagger. They talk about the fab 5 but it's fab 6 and Shan is in that
 
What's more impressive is the number time and balls of Shan Masood. It is not easy at all as a opener in England to play 250+ balls
 
Shan looks so representable as a player and person. Need more gents like him to improve our global image

If he can keep this batting form, Shan is the best bet for Test Captaincy

And a quick mention about Shan's fitness.

Apart from his technique, a lot of credit needs to go to him for keeping himself supremely fit.

Pakistani batsmen usually can't bat 1.5 days and take the singles that Shan has been taking after playing more than 250 balls. And more than physically, mentally most Pakistani batsmen are shot completely.

So this is a refreshingly new change in Pakistan cricket to get fit cricketers into the setup.
 
These 2 are playing amazingly, their running especially. Let's go for 350
 
Definitely all talk is about Shan but loving Shadab approach also of rotation of strike
 
I don't want to jinx it, but we may have blunted the new ball as well. Anderson and Broad lacking penetration. Archer could do damage.

So far Shan Masood has played almost half the number of overs for the team. (Just shy of 3 balls to be exact).

Wasim Akram said that by the looks of it duke ball starts to get in shape and more movement after 8-10 overs.

With Dukes, it isn't the new ball that is dangerous. It's the ball that is 15 overs old that starts to do weird things.

Exactly. I've been vouching for him to be captain ever since the last tour to SA. He's always been leadership material. Question was whether his batting had improved. His performances in SA were enough to convince that he belongs at international level.

Pure Hardwork and dedication. He isn't as much talented as some other lads. But I always believe. Hardwork beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
 
At 170 odd for 5, I said I would take anything 250+ and to be honest I am happy with the way Pak has recovered after that.

Don't you think opening the batting as a pak opener and captaincy may be way too much on the shoulders for him ? Smith of SA was truly a once in a generation sort of player, never gets enough cred for his monumental efforts, then there's Cook who is an England great and arguably one of the best of modern era opening batting and then captaincy to

Absolutely. Good thing is few natural talents we have in Babar, Shaheen and even Naseem look to be hard workers as well.
