damn hayden gone...! flintoff strikes!

I see you are doing nicely as usual as per your specialty:D :P

50 for langer...! shockingly its just one of a few 50s thus far in series for aussie batsmen..

Apart from Langer and Clarke, the rest of the Aussie batsmen havent even looked to be Test standard in the series. OK Ponting got a century but hes done jack in his other innings and Martyn has had a few shockers, but regardless, their batting has been well below par. Plus Gilly hasnt been able to counter attack as the Poms have been bowling to a plan thats working wonders

latest - Australia 142/2 (Australia trail by 117 runs )

Vaughan has made a mistake. He should have chose to bat, get a lead of 500+ and make Aus bat second on a deterioting pitch...if Aus get a lead of 250-300, Warne is gona make them struggle.

RH buys sweets for PP..... Aussie Aussie Hai Hai !!!

Punter got the timing of that spat all wrong, Pratt was on the field for the genuinely injured Jones just as Hodge was for Clarke at Old Trafford.

We missed Jonah in the second innings :(

The 12th man was quite legitimate in this case as Jones injury was for real.

However, in general, through the summer England have been taking the p1ss with the use of the 12th man.

Should Ponting be punished for his actions though? I didnt see it, but he did come across as a whinging idiot

Aussies only 30 behind. Trevor Penney on the field as 12th man. He could get some run outs :)

I think we might be in trouble here without Jones.

I wouldn't like to chase more than 200.

Hoggy Hoggy Hoggy!

Dare to score at 1.44 an over against t'Hoggmiester would ya'?

Just from the few deliveries he faced, it seemed that Gilchrist was trying to make a concerted effort to keep the bat straight rather than open the face which he did in the first innings.

Still got beaten by the second to last ball though..

Should be interesting.

Onlt the two slips and gully in...for England's sake I hope one does not go through the 3rd slip area.

Interesting thing about Flintoff's bowling around the wicket to Gillchrist is, that he gets the ball to swing away irrespective of whether it is a new ball or old ball. In other words he does it with conventional and reverse swing.

I'm luvin it. Finally shocking decisions going AGAINST Australia.

i'd prefer it if it wasn't a Pakistani umpire giving them though.

A seriously bad decision by Aleem Dar...on height and pitching outside leg.

Was a good appeal by Harmison. Unfortunately Dar will be castigated for one bad decison in a great year for him.

jones having a shocker... dropped brett lee before, now knocks the bails off when Lee could have been run out.

Actually, i think this is the 2nd bad decision he's made. Gave Martyn out when he edged it onto his pad.

Aus lead by 66...need a lead of at least 150 to make half a game of it.

How long will Geraint keep messing chances up. Complete dud with the gloves

Not sure how you can include that as a 'shocker'...those are marginal ones that you and I comment on AFTER we see 10 replays.

How much longer will the Australian innings last?

I say about ten overs more.

The match should be over today, Inshallah.

What a complete ******* Warne can be with the bat.

An amazing player.

And this is what the Aussies are seeing on their TV screens.....

Nah, Im getting the Ch4 feed :P

It would be fun reading the tabloids here though. A friend assures me that the whiny Pommie tabloids will be no match for what the Aussie media will say

kaspa and lee can stick around for a bit..i wouldnt be surprised if the lead goes upto 150 before the aussie innings closes its surtains.

You can say that about 1 Million more times Rashid:19: :D

BTW, what are the commentatars saying "What is a safe total for Aussies"

Can they have a shot at bowling England out with such a low target...how is the pitch behaving??

Oh brother what a terrible decision by Tait! Last ball of the over and he just walks right across his stumps in an invitation for Harmison who obliges

Its not over yet, aussies are still in with a chance. Cricket is known for its dramatic collapses and reversals. Lets wait and see whether the English truly do deserve to dethrone the aussies. This is the last mile.

Warney gets Trescothick with his 1st ball...in the 6th over !

But I dont understand one thing. Agreed that aus are finally seeing their fall as cricket champs, but how can they fall so quickly? I mean they've gone from winning like crazy to losing almost every test in the Ashes. Shouldn't they be atleast drawing some of their series before really losing it.

It has surprised me to see Australia slump so quickly and take such a sharp plunge.

are you watching any of the games???

If yes, then cant you see that it is England that are over-powering the Aussies in every facet of the game in this series. Aus are only playing as well as Eng are allowing them to.

Warney gets his 2nd (Vaughan) with his 1st ball of his 2nd over......
