Lol. If even Cook is scoring against this attack, you'd expect even the likes of broad to score a few runs. Garbage bowling especially by bhuvi. No penetrative ability whatsoever. Shouldn't even be playing FC cricket!
 
India is in trouble.

That is very clear.

Unless some bowler bowls some crazy spell or some brain **** happens for English batsmen, 150-1 is dangerous.

India's over rate is quite awesome .more than 60 overs being bowled in first two sessions.

almost 108 runs scored in 2nd session without any lose .so a very good session for England.

Why are majority of the Indian fans so bipolared ? When India wins its the greatest team off all time. When they lose, they are the worst team of all time. Have some hope DAMNN IT, its not even end of Day 1

India needs Ashwin. I guess step down of Srini ain't going well for the selection Aswhi who plays for CSK/ Tamil Nadu.

No way, Cook is super defensive to simply declare with 450 runs in this test. He may be thinking let's put as many as we can. It will be good move though otherwise Indians will simply try to bat out time.

SL playing so many tests in SSC would have almost ensured that his stats would have been fantastic. He would have been closer to SRT's runs/tons. Even Jaya can score against the like of Steyn ;)

On serious tone - Cook can hardly score against good bowling units irrespective of venue. If you guys have to imagine then think, what he would have done in 90s. Too many guys have padded up stats in 2000s and Cook is surely one of them.

I can't comment on that because i haven't witnessed the aura of 90s
 
will England increase their run rate in the third session or they will score at the same rate as they are scoring .
 
Looks like there are only 2 possibilities for this match.
(1) England win.
(2) Draw.

England heroes showed up in the field and hopefully India's too join the party. Good contest between England bowlers & Indian batsmen in India's first innings. That will set the stage and the result for the teams.

Yep, Eng should simply bat out India out of this game and then hope that they collapse under score board pressure.

My point was different. In 90s we had only 4 with 50+ avg. In 2000s , we had 19. Data was for a young fellow poster to get some context behind what I was trying to convey. Now given Cook's inability to score runs against good bowling units, imagine his avg in 90s. I don't want to pick any number but it's safe to say that it would have been a lot worse.

England most likely score like 600 and declare. Eng lower order may make merry or tired Indian bowlers tomorrow. If India's batsmen don't show up in 1st innings then this match is a goner for India. Hopefully they will show up and make it a draw, which is a win for them in their perspective.

Indians were 150-160 for 4 in the first test on a very flat surface and that was without any scoreboard pressure. It could happen and that will make this series more interesting. 1-1 scoreline with two more tests to go will be great.

How long have you been watching cricket??....all it takes is one wicket to turn the game around ...they may score big but some of these comments absolutely ridiculous ,they haven't even reached 300 yet
 
Like I said

Cook can play 1/2 good innings and he will be saved and be the captain for another few series because England have no other choice to go with

Yep and that's why you have so many batsmen inflating their averages. Steyn is the only ATG bowler playing right now. In 90s , you had too many ATG bowlers and it was not easy to score runs for batsmen who couldn't score against good bowling units.

How contradictory ?

What is the chance of England not scoring 600 ? They will most likely declare way before that, but why would you ask someone "how long have you been watching cricket ? " Some of your comments are far worseeee.
 
Well, agree 1 wicket may change the context of the game and thats why even half chances need to be taken. India missed that early and paying the cost for it now. England's problem is less technical and more of mental strength and in this context of the match they have the upper hand right now and their tail's up. This pitch will become easier to bat on day 2 & 3.

I think eng will declare after making 500 and then India will make 450 all out atleast and it will end in a draw, because this pitch is absolute Phatta by the look of it and how things are going, and it will only get better and better.

Guys I think now for certain the normal service has resumed, i meant typical toothless Indian bowling toiling all day. Poor guys, i really feel for them.
 
Guys what about this innovative and best bowling tactic of Dhoni to Force sir Jaddu to "bowl leg stump Line"? what the hell he wants to achieve by this?
