Zaheer out. Would hardly impact India. Robin needs to finish this on his own now.

true thats why most of the "true" or "hardcore" cricket fanz..dont want twenty20 @ international level...
for domestic cricket its understandable not here

Brilliant game of cricket.

Shame about the result but all the luck was with the Indians.

Looks all set for a grand finale on Saturday.

it's been great series for india...test and one-day

Damn, what a game and I been sleeping all this time. Genius me.

Congrats India

what a match.. great match.. congrats to india .. Lords should be a cracker

Really unlucky James Anderson. Steaming in at 90mph and getting edged all over the place. I would be very angry if i were him at the end of this match. England bowlers focused too much on yorkers, should have varied the pace as well. It was too predictable in the end. But Uthappa well done. Poor Mascerenhas all those sixes gone to waste. He would have been the real hero had england pulled it off today.

If they win the ODi series this will do some great things for the Indian Moral. Winning the test series away and then coming back fro 3-1 to win the ODI series.

Sachin can't seem to catch a break and get a century, but who cares?? India have won.

He's really made a resurgence and could be man of the series for the ODI if India win.

Uthappa......what a game.......

Excellent batting in an unfamiiar position....

India tend to lose when sachin gets 100s, so be glad he didnt :p

He was getting hit by Tendu and Ganguly also. had a ER of over 9 after 4 overs. It was not just the last overs

Yes, India got a lot of what is known as 'classic English luck', in Hash's circles. All the luck the English cricket team had has bitten us back in this India series.

Go and tell this to ur bunch of selfish players who prefer to play for money rather than your own country

No player is selfish in my country. :12:

Shoaib, Moyo rules. Sachin Tendulkar is selfish

Really good game. I still think we'll have enough to take the series, but either way whoever wins the series now will deserve it. This series has done something for limited overs cricket in this country, the fans have loved every game and we have progressed as a side.

this whole tour has been very entertaining to watch. I think the win today by India made it even better as we have a deciding 7th game

Just seen Shah's century and Dimitrious's 5 sixes in a row! Shah was class.

Just watching Tendulkars knock - he still got it.

Been busy all day so had to watch 5's highlights to see the match. India's match was won by the opening partnership. Tendulkar was at his scintillating best despite not getting 100 again. When he is hitting the ball in the air like he did today, you can see why the man is regarded as one of the best. That straight six off Dimi was just unbelievable, taken from a ball just heading over the top of off/middle, disposited high and as straight as you like.

I can't wait for the decider, and there's no better ground to have it at than at Lord's.

Actually India have won more than 70% time when SRT has scored a century but dont let facts come in the way of good old Tendu Bashing ;-) :p

O yeah Inzi 102% :26:

Wow, I never thought I would say this, but Tendulkar is playing like the Tendulkar of the 90's in this series. Definitely have to check out the last ODI on Saturday now; great series so far.

Nah Pak has won 7 out of 10 times Inzi scored a 100 so he stands at exactly 70%. I am talking about only ODIs of course.

Home series against Australia, Pakistan likely to be his last

Tendulkar looks at quitting ODIs

Sachin Tendulkar is seriously contemplating retiring from one-day cricket after India's home engagements against Pakistan and Australia later this season, it is reliably learnt.

Tendulkar, one-day cricket's most prolific and dominant batsman, will, however, continue playing Tests and will travel to Australia in December.

Sources close to Tendulkar said he was inclined to announce his retirement on this tour but was persuaded by friends to do so at home. India are scheduled to play seven ODIs against Australia and five against Pakistan before the end of the year.

Tendulkar had, along with Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly, opted out of the forthcoming World Twenty20 in South Africa.

Earlier this week, he told The Times of the toll one-day cricket was taking on his body. "I enjoy every moment I have on a cricket field, but the recovery times between games these days are difficult, especially for one-day internationals, and that's my major obstacle," he said. "It does take its toll on the body. When you are 22 or 23, you recover a lot more quickly. But at 34, it's not so easy."

His innings at The Oval on Wednesday provided evidence of that; the last few minutes saw him hobbling with cramps, barely able to run the singles and, after his dismissal, taking a long time to climb the stairs to the dressing room.

Most of that innings, though, was spent in the kind of form he has displayed through this tour, one on which he showed he'd lost little of his formidability in one-day cricket. He began with two 90s against South Africa in Ireland, helping India win the series from being one down.

Restored to the top of the order after an indifferent World Cup where he batted in the middle order, Tendulkar has allowed himself the freedom to play the strokes of his majestic youth - the majestic cover drive, the pull and the lofted drive down the ground - and runs have flowed, both consistently and quickly.

In ten innings in the series so far, he has plundered 548 runs, with four 90s, at a strike rate of 84.3. The tour also reunited him with his opening partner Sourav Ganguly, and the pair, the most prolific in the history of one-day cricket, added four more century partnerships to take their tally to 25, 16 of them for the first wicket.

Tendulkar is 34 but already has 18 years of international cricket behind him; his 140 Tests and 394 ODIs have fetched him more than 25,000 runs, the most in international cricket.

He has before him the example of Shane Warne, who gave up one-day cricket in the last stage of his career to help him play more Tests.
