11 batsmen for PAK won't serve as their team is not formed on batting strength. Do you think with 8 batsmen + Sarfu, PAK would have posted 650 & batting once?

This was a very good wicket & despite couple of vital drops, PAK could have won this Test with 5 men attack. Now, I see almost similar pattern - PAK getting a decent lead, England, consolidating on Day 4 & then blasting in last 20 overs once the attack is 100 overs tiered. This time ENG is leading 2-1, so Cook won't declare with PAK having any mathematical chance - it has to be 20 wickets & best possibility was 5 bowlers.

With this fitness level, PAK should play Test with 4 bowlers & couple of all-rounders. Otherwise, almost every match'll be lost against better opponents from Day 4 onward.

Among many mistakes, the biggest one for PAK in this Series was not playing 5th bowler. Basically caring couple of batsmen expecting them to score & depleting the attack. England having a deep batting line-up 'll every time hurt PAK once their attack is tiered. Rahat or Imran in this match for this guy Iftekhar & PAK could have won this match inside 4 days.

if we can bet on this... I would bet MISBAH would never do that..

That's because he is asked to bat at 6 "cautiously", which is not his core strength. He is a fluent, free scoring run maker, who bats at 3 in domestics & PAK plays him at No. 6, for which, the personality type is totally different.

I keep upsetting posters telling that Basit Ali is the epitome of Pakistan's batting intellectualism; otherwise, by 2013, Asad would have been No. 3. There comes the batting culture - if he makes the team; he'll bat at 3 for IND or SRL, even Bangladesh, otherwise won't play - here PAK Thick tank believes, he should bat at 6, because he has equal No. of Century with Sir Garry there.
