Kaneria needs to settle down and try to bowl an over or two at the same batsman. For that, Butt's gonna have to stick his neck out, back his bowler, and bring in some of the fielders - do something differently, make Morgan do something that doesn't come naturally to him. If that means putting a silly mid-off in, so be it. If it means pushing the mid on some ten paces back to entice a big hit, go for it.

But Kaneria needs to get some rhythm and he isn't going to achieve that if he keeps getting milked.

Come on Pak.
 
Pakistan spesialy Amir have habit of taking few wickets after tea .. Will it happen today ? lets hope so
 
We need Gul to find his form back. An integral part of our bowling attack has gone missing this innings
 
Gul has been very disappointing.

Need to get a wicket soon or Else we are in deep trouble with our batting lineup.

Flat but a turner. I dread the reality that is Swann demolishing Pakistan. I still have nightmares from the Australia tour when Hauritz became a Warne.
 
A & A need to put in a big effort, can't expect anything from Danish today.
 
it's barely even I'd say, the way they have thrashed our 3rd and 4th bowler is shifting the balance towards them.
 
Come on lads, get one and it will bring a couple, very important session coming up so IA we will get the breakthroughs and put england under pressure, hope Gul and Kaneria get into the act as A&A cant do it on their own. It is nicely poised so its up to us to take the advantage, get some wickets and get on top. My Prediction England 8 down for 280 IA

What would really help if this chota sa ladla starts bowling better, he's been garbage so far.

Why do we keep treating these failures like little bachey. If it's not kamrans fault it's butt's, always an excuse for kaneria.

Can we please just try someone else? I don't even mind if Malik is the sole spinner as long as he bats below no7 but enough of the kanary

If it was any side other than Pakistan, I'd agree with you. But shoot me for being realistic, our batting sucks. Again, advantage - England.
 
190-4 on a flat wicket isnt great.

Its still even and with 2 or 3 wickets in this last session,we'll have the advantage.
 
its not that flat, has something for everyone.
 
Collingwood's great value to England (apart from the inspirational fielding and occasional wicket) is his propensity to get runs when his more illustrious colleagues fail.

He does an uglier version of Hussey. Hussey makes for good viewing. Can't call Colly's cricket that attractive.
 
Kaneria at the other end...interesting.

I guess they'll rotate the quicks around him, save their overs for the new ball.

In all seriousness, this isn't a flat track. The wicket is a huge turner, primed for a bowler like Swann.

The low bounce and slow nature of the wicket is amazing me. And that too on Day 1

As I say this, Kaneria getting more treatment from Morgan
 
Dont get me wrong I love Test cricket,but when theres a lull in the game like now.Its boring :(
 
Swann will show Kanaria how to bowl on a helping track...not before Finn strikes (only because he's tall and we **** ourselves if we see a tall bowler before he even bowl!)


EDIT: trust us to give Morgan his first 50!

Actually, we blame our players for not having a test mentality. Truth is, we ourselves lack it as a nation. We want quick results and naturally, so does our team. They are from amongst us as well, after all.

Then why blame the payers only. I think we should change ourselves a nation first and then start expecting people to do the same.

I would say Morgan was a little lucky and should thank the umpire for allowing him to get to his fifty. He was out and got a lucky break. There is nothing kiddish about this.

PP should show the DOB of all users next to their Debut, Venue, Runs etc. It will make it much easier to ignore posts by some users.
