How are the commentators so stupid!?

How are they not talking about this possibly being some kind of strategy, or that it would actually be better for Pakistan to get the follow on.

Who'd want to be a Pakistani bowler. You bowl for 7 hours and then bat for another 2.

Saleem Malik is hard to match in that discipline. He was a champion sattay-baaz. Kaneria may be getting there :danish
 
If England bats now, match is lost because we can't score more than 250 chasing
 
can anyone explain to me what are the advantages/disadvantages of Pakistan avoiding follow on and not avoiding follow on?

Sadly, they have a point. If we pass follow on, we are still staring at a 180 run lead. We can barely chase 180 so any run after that point is a bonus and we are bound to lose.

If we bat again, maybe we can somehow manage a miracle. Our bowling is our strength, so we can defend a target?

All wishful thinking from whatever angle you look at but this way seems to make more sense than the other way.
 
So our bowlers will be bowling again in a few minutes after nearly 1.5 days of bowling and 4 hours rest.

I think by the end of the 2nd test, our bowlers will be knackered for the rest of the summer or injured. This batting line is killing them.

Anyone who thinks Strauss will inform the follow on is dreaming. He doesn't need to. More damage is caused batting tonight and tomorrow.

Only Pak bowlers playing the test match ...... first bowling to take 10 wickets n then batting to avoid follow on.......Pakistan must play 10 bowlers and 1 keeper .....they'll b in better position.....
 
Should try to avoid follow on in my opinion, rather have England bat again.....skittle them as cheap as possible and then try and chase down target.

Also, rain might favor us and possible assist in getting to a draw.
 
We survived the day, can't see them coming back on now.

If we had played 1 KEEPER we'd already be in a much better position.

and india have to play with 10 batsman and 1 keeper..... i am sure... the result is same :)

who should be the keeper though thats the tough question....or should we play a bowler instead of the keeper...so 11 bowlers???
 
I think we should just play with 4 players..all bowlers. After all they are doing everything - from batting to fielding.
 
when i said yesterday...this team will make a miracle if they chase 200 some ppl had a prob with being negative

that wasnt negativity it was the truth shaking its fingers at us
 
Nasser Hussein says that Pakistan's batting lineup is hardly better than Bangladesh's batting lineup and he's right.

He also says that Tamim Iqbal is better than everyone in Pakistans lineup and he is right again (though Butt may be a better batsman)
