this 'the cloud is out so it's going to swing loads and be unplayable oh noez' mentality has really come about very recently. historically speaking a flat pitch is a flat pitch, i'm sure plenty of runs have been scored at the Oval overcast or not.

calm down.

Salman is struggling and with Pakistan No 3 is as good as opening as is!
hammeed's most successful position in international cricket is 3 however.

We'll see how it pans out. I don't t think there will be much difference.

we have to get our batting right once surely?! or do probabilities not come into it when it comes to pakistan batting.

tanvir ahmed doesn't looked impressed !

Why did hameed slash at that, cant afford that he needs to stay at the crease until team tommorow..

Hit one back straight in Broads face!! Jeez I'm having very violent tendencies towards Broad, that's very unlike me. But can I be blamed?

Butt coming in no.3 is a good decision, as he has been poor in opening, Yousuf no.4 then Azhar Ali after that Aamer and Ajmal and then all the tail enders starting from Sr Akmal Jr Akmal....

LOL at Tanvir. But I can understand the bloke's 'It could have been me' feeling. Guess I'd feel the same way if I was in his place.

Tanvir thinking in Marlon Brando's voice: "I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a waterboy, which is what I am, let's face it"

question:
if k.akmal scores a 50 should he be retained for S.A tour?
as much as I hate to say it, yes. If he had a good performance, he shouldn't be dropped. It's fair that if he has the chance he should be able to fight for his place.

A 50 in each of both the remaining tests (or hundred in one), and good wicket keeping in both tests (which is a must) and he should be kept. It's a steep task though, I'm not sure he'll pull it off though.

atleat Hameed is showing intent. Something no Pakistani batsman has showed so far.

Atleast they are scoring some runs, they will get out soon anyway.

exactly I don't blame him.

He's getting old too now, and his chances of playing international cricket are slipping away.

I feel kind of sorry for him.

IF Aamer is injured and can't bowl next test, he might get his chance though.

This right hand and left hand combo is good, puts bowlers line off...

Hameed is being brave, rotating strike and fishing for some boundaries...

Yasir looks good when the ball is pitched middle/leg...playing it late

I have predicted Pakistan 105-2 at stumps after I predicted Eng 255 all out so I'm hoping they don't lose wickets although if they do then just 1 or 2 but 105-2 is better than 90-5

If anderson has a bad test, I think Pakistan might just pull off a good score.

so how much playing time is left exactly..........theirs only about 25 mins left for the day, but over 20 overs need to be bowled, how much longer than the 25 mins can they go till

I feel ashamed as a Pakistan evreytime I see Farhat open. God he is terrible
