@ cricinfo:
Wahab Riaz to Cook, no run, 143.5 kph, Full on the stumps, takes Cook on the pads as he falls across the line...huge appeal and will they review? Butt has a long think and in the end takes too long so the umpire says time has run out

That's funny!

I would like Butt to put the square leg for cook back and let Wahab try the yorkers

Really dont know how cook has got to 35* today!

Do you also wonder how many tailenders, debutants, no hopers always seem to prosper against Pakistan?

The answer is simple - Pakistani team management has no idea to assess the weakness of individual players - ie no planning - no forethought about field placements etc - its all about - dekhtay hain kiya hota hai!

just as well - the decision would have stood. Sometimes it pays to be a fool.

Really? That was very marginal and he has to be careful about exhausting all his options. And I hope you realize that he does not get to watch replays like you at home.

If you read the post - I am not talking about the review itself but rather the lost goat look on his face.

Frankly speaking, unless it rains, I still take Pak to win the match (dont ask me how I have arrived at this conclusion !)

Its not going to be pretty ( we will probably scrape through with a wicket in hand or something ludicrous) ...

The problem is must of the times umpires decision will be final. For a bowling team it will have to be plumb not just hitting the wickets.

Pitch looks easy to bat...Pakistan should be ready to chase 250+ total

If England sets Pakistan a target of 200...then rest assured that we are going to loose...Swann's gonna turn the ball like its his Mama's birthday

That "Umpires call " thing is absolutely rubbish ..

It is a dangerous situation for Pak. team since they are not used to winning. This is really the phase when the match will be decided. If Eng. win two sessions Pak. can very easily lose hope with their mindset. I am not very impressed with Aamer in this test.

not really. when hawkeye shows a ball hitting the edge of the stumps, in reality it can go either way. The rule is perfect as it is until technology can be 100% accurate

Is your sat nav broken and has it re-routed you to a Pakistan win? Strangely I agree.

His 'unimpressive' progress in this match might have something to do with the fact that he is human.

For sure. He is young and over worked and the conditions are better. But maybe the captain needs to use him differently. Give his 3 over spells and ask him to bowl with comlete freedom. Use him as an out and out strike bowler.

That's too much strategizing for Mr. Butt.

come on guys, lets be positive, normally in test matches the opposition is 2 wickets down, 150 runs ahead!

Cook looks to have regained his form. Wont be surprised if he gets a 100 today.

And Amir never have done anything over the wicket this series.

A great session so for England so far only losing the nightwatchmen and now level with Pak. Pak need wickets fast

There has been a consistent trend throughout the summer where pak have bowled brilliently in the first innings and let them selves down in the 2nd. I wonder why that is

Now captaaaan sahib put pressure on him - he is desperate to get to that 50. I want to see fielders in

50 for Cook. Yet again and England batter starts scoring runs when his career is on the line. Well played though.

Cook gets his 50. Now if he is anything like the Pakistanis, he would get out soon after he has achieved this landmark, and not hog the limelight from others. :)

hopefully we pick up some quick wickets after lunch and put the pressure back on them..got a feeling this is gonna be a big lead they gonna give us!
