just tuned in now.

How do you rate our bowlers so far? Did Asif bowl well (he's kept economy low but hasn't got many wickets).

I'm guessing Riaz didn't do too well?

I come back from iftari and voila! A wicket gone.

We are surely missing Gul here though. He could have been just what we needed. Both with the ball and bat. Come back soon Gul. :gul

Match lost for me and I've been right all along this series. Sorry for that, but true!

So you are one of those people who after a couple of quick wickets will change your prediction and after that if a big partnership or even a decent partnership comes along for England, you will change your prediction again.

You should go back and check my posts if you doubt me. I've made only one prediction throughout this series, and unfortunately I've been right.

We can't chase anything above 150 and these guys are set for a 300+.

this pitch is not easy to bat on.. Cook played well. but both Troth and Pieterson are trying hard for runs.. its not easy for the batting...

This was before the changes were made. If if I am correct, we did not make over 300 before in this series or throughout this whole summer. Gotta have faith in your star batsman. If he can make a 50 after he was away for 6 months. I am sure, he can make a ton after making a fifty. Besides, having Yousuf on the other side helped Azhar gain a lot of confidence.

Yes, but our bowling has failed to take the initiative in this second innings. This wasn't precedented.

On a second note check this out in Dawn:

http://blog.dawn.com/2010/08/20/selecting-the-‘average’-man/

Shoaib Malik (Matches: 2, Runs: 66, Average: 22.0)
Umar Amin (Matches: 10, Runs: 512, Average: 36.6)
Azhar Ali (Matches: 10, Runs: 445, Average: 29.7)
Imran Farhat (Matches: 3, Runs: 179 Average: 35.8)

And when I carried on to compile a list of players from Karachi thinking I thought I would be looking for a needle in a haystack if I looked at the top of the table. This, however, was not the case:

Fawad Alam (Matches: 4, Runs: 418, Average: 83.6)
Khalid Latif (Matches: 8, Runs: 769, Average: 69.9)
Khurram Manzoor (Matches: 6, Runs: 620, Average: 68.9)
Asad Shafiq (Matches: 11, Runs: 1104, Average: 64.9)

So KCCA is right about the bias against Karachi based players..

This is a test match match for god sake. This is how test matches are, session by session, things change. I am sure once they go into tea, they will try to come up with a different strategy. It's happened in the past infact it's happened in this series, so I guess giving up at this time would not be wise.

KP taking Asif apart, good revenge. Terrible idea of making Akmal stay back.

Back from Jumma, batsmen booking in on this track then. Players need to keep their hopes up, a couple of wickets before the new ball and then a few more could fall.

Like someone said above, it would need a drastic collapse for Pakistan to get back into this game. Not going to happen with Collingwood, Morgan and Prior. Not on this pitch.

I've watched these guys too long to hope for a win. I guess I'm just being realistic

20 overs till the new bowl. and theere will score 70 more run and only new bowl will help us..
