Glorified county seam bowlers - look at their averages - some of these test bowlers average over 70 per wicket!!

thats the issue playing teams like sri lanka/india at home when you are rebuilding you won't really know who the real deal players are based on the garbage they will face in those series.

In the middle of losing to SA at home and india/eng away we still managed to sweep sri lanka 3-0, they just don't provide much of an examination for your bats or bowlers.
 
Wait....Is Gary Ballance Zimbabwean and has represented them at under-19s?

If so this madness has to stop, surely?!

It's getting or already embarrassing as it is.

I just edited my post. I meant Ballance and his from Zimbabwe. Don't know about Robson.

Ballance is Zimbabwean, Robson is an Ozzie, Jordan a Barbadian, Stokes, the locker puncher is Kiwi and who knows who else is what. I doubt even the breakfast is English anymore.
 
Oh I forgot we still had another batsman up before Prior comes out.

All in favor of dropping Moeen Ali for an actual batsman? Or an actual spinner? Overhyped from the start. Just because he looks like Amla doesn't mean he is.

Moeen is English lol or else we'll have to call some Aussies Irish, Scottish, English. Call some Pakistanis Indians, call half Indians as where ever they came from central asia thousands of years ago and etc. Moeen is English, born and bred there. Unlike half of the English team, who spent majority of their life in another country.

Nice of England to give Sri Lanka a few wickets to prevent them becoming downhearted.

We will only have a lead of 100 but we will bowl them out for 99.

Then the real fun begins.

India come over to lose a 5 match Test series. Dhoni gave an interview today saying they will bat very aggressively.

So lots of nicks to the slip cordon on the way then.

Silly English media. However, he's just starting his career, can't be too harsh on him at this stage. England have bigger worries in the form of Cook's form.
 
those 3 wks will hurt ENG unless Prior jordan make a good partnership and take england past 400 ENGland would like to lead of 200 and back their seamers to bowl out lankans under 300
 
Big innings for prior, his glovework has been below par for a while now but scoring runs in this sort of match situation is where he made his name in test cricket.
 
England have a strong tail as well don't they?

Haven't seen much of them but pretty sure jordan and plunkett are decent with the bat and broad when he is in form can score rapidly.
 
A lead of 100 might just be enough for England here. SL need another Sang a special to at least draw this match.
 
Good comback from SL, now what they need is to get 108 opening partnership. Then smooth sailing.
 
Still. This test is quite exciting. Both teams are in it and this could all be decided in the next two sessions. Both teams are separated by a really small margin.

Sri Lanka cant do well with having 5 players who cant do anything with the bat..This SL late order is the worst we ever had

Another feat for great Sanga, he became first SL player to score 300+ test runs in a series in ENG.
 
If SL can put on one mammoth partnership, they will be in a commanding position.
