England 215 & 372/8 (148.0 ov)
Australia 280
England lead by 307 runs with 2 wickets remaining

Australia should be very worried, we're still managing to rack up 400 in the seconds innings against Australia's so called world class attack, despite Trott being out for a duck & us carrying passengers like Bairstow.

5-0

Teams chasing over 300 to win a Test Match have lost 336, drawn 191 and tied once. Only 4.7% teams (26 teams) have reached their target.

Why Richie Benaud, Mark Taylor and Lawry not in the commentary? Without them the Ashes is boring :(

I'd be amazed if Australia were able to score over 200

I dunno, it's hard to take wickets on this deck, and it's a belting hot day for the UK. Might be closer than you think. Swannage is the key.

we wanna see some fight from aus mate otherwise i beleive this ashes is one sided series this time around

Lord's and Durham (if it places like County Cricket) are our only chances.

I'm increasingly confident of winning in Australia though. Nothing I've seen from Englands bowlers suggets they will be good over here.

Sir Jimmy and co are hapless with a Kookaburra, Trott was literally getting more swing with it

Broad is now out again. Crowd gives him a standing ovation. He even raises his bat. Commentator said...He walks!

We cant bat mate, we arent gonna make 300. If we got anywhere near it it would be bowlers making the runs, yet again.

The same England bowlers destroyed you last time they toured down under, what you talking about?

All depends on clarke boy from aus and swann boy from eng this two can change the game from there respective sides

I can't see Watson and Cowan doing much, It's up to Clarke, Smith and the tail.

Given the tour itinerary we've given you guys I think we can say that CA will prepare the wickets to destroy any swing.

Our batting will actually be a lot better than 2010 anyway in my opinion. Though of course that is just a prediction.

The record chase in the fourth innings at this venue is 284 which England chased down against New Zealand in 2004. Cmon Aussie boys!

311 with almost 2 days to bat should be a walk in the park, provided no one comes out playing like we have to win before lunch.

The idea of multiple Australians batting for more than an hour is amusing

We have rolled England twice on a dead pitch for 600. Siddle with eight wickets, Patto and Starc five apiece. If we had some batsman that should put us in a pretty good position, but we dont.

Watson will hit a few boundaries & then get out, he's too thick to know how to build an innings.

Maybe Australia should hide Clarke down the order, he's their best chance and if the top order can see off the new ball he should be able to pile on the runs with Swann being the only threat.

I truly hope that Ashton Agar has done enough and that he is not required to bat in this run chase
