How the hell is that cheating...batsmen duty to be in the crease until umpire has called over or tea. The ball was not dead. Good presence of mind.

Not technically cheating but against the spirit of the game and shouldn't happen.

Seriously guys can you for once put those anti-indian glasses off?

I'm sure if Sachin had been run out like this Gavaskar, Shastri and Manjreker would have been saying how it was perfectly acceptable and within the spirit of the game and there was nothing wrong with it and it should have happened.

Remember that Randiv-Sehwag no ball incident??

That was also within the rules

Indians expect sportsmanship, maybe they should start with themselves!

Rules are rules. Bell should've known better, that said the fielders didn't appeal.

I remember Indian media and captain kept that incident on news for days after!

Calling it a disgrace to cricket and what not!

If it had happened to Sachin there would literally be riots going on in India right now & their government would have probably been on the phone to David Cameron.

Asad called over.

But it was called after bails were taken off

We got ourselves a humdinger.

Stupid Bell shouldnt cry now. Seriously England was on top and soon India could have been out of match.

Randiv is SL, it was his fault not the Indian players, lol.

you missed the point I was trying to make, Sherlock!

Indians were crying for days after that it was very unsportsman like and some even asking for a ban on Randiv/Sanga for denying Sehwag his 100 by bowling a no-ball to lose the match.

If you gonna expect sportmans like behavior from other teams, try putting your own house in order!

To be honest it was a bit dumb of Bell, he shouldn't have left his ground. However Dhoni has a chance to re-think the decision, I doubt he would though.

This reminds of the Umer Amin-Bangladesh incident where he was just crossing over to the other side of the crease when the Bangla bowler took the bails off. But then again, that was Bangladesh getting hammered as usual, they were desperate for a wicket, any way it came. Question is, is the number one test team gonna do the same? No blame attached to them if they do.

:afridi I predict some fireworks in the rest of this series

The question is....would Dhoni call back the batsman before the next delivery is bowled?

If sachin had been given Out in a similar manner can you Imagine the uproar that would have ensued ?
The idiots would have been out in the streets burning effigies of the umpires and BCCI would threaten to walk out of the tour.

Wow, so Dhoni turns over the appeal? Cheetah banda, respect.

England fans are more like Indian media, boo oneday and praise them next day

Now,you understood what India is...ALL HAIL DHONI

Indians are always right :)

Dhoni you rock, I now love Dhoni, one of my favourite cricketers, and Morgan celebrates Bell's return with a :four

Interesting to see how betting companies will deal with this.

Bell was out at Tea, bets settled, now Bell is back in.

excellent decision to recall bell.

Well done India.

***? India withdrew their appeal? That's absolutely stupid. If they lose the game and series and world ranking, this will be what comes back and bites them in the butt.

All the Indian fans who supported Dhoni in appealing, don't you think this is being overly sentimental? He should be trying to win the match for his country. This would have been epic.

Now watch Bell make a double century..

Its one of the best decision Dhoni has ever taken, not overly sentimental at all.

It's a matter of principle ... if you supported Inzi staying off at the Oval in 06 you should by association support Dhoni withdrawing his appeal.
