Now that there is no Broad or Morgan. India is definitely going to win.

Also it seems there margin of defeat is being reduced by each game, in fact last one was a tie, so even more of a reason to believe india will finally taste victory :nehra

Yes I'm sure 3 wins against third rate domestic sides is exactly the result the supposed number one team in the world was looking for from this tour.

I hope India looses tomorrow's game for India's own sake. There is a danger that one consolidatory win might lessen the pressure on these so called 'greats'. If this was Pakistan, even with our supposedly far less talented batsmen, I would want these guys to really pay for their shambolic performance. The same fans who raise these people into global megastars must now put them in their place also.

The BCCI must be seen to do something. Problem is that Indian cricketers and the BCCI have this mentality of making big bucks whilst not really caring about the quality of cricket. Half the freckin team is/has been injured in this tour yet not ONE SINGLE INDIAN will be injured for the IPL or Champions League. Mark my words. There was one silly little warm up game before this massive tour. All throughout the tour, I've seen just one single Indian cricketer who actually cares and has some sort of pride for India, and that's Dravid. The rest have looked bored and uninterested. It's like they've never before played a test match, and all they're interested in is some t20 bish bash.

Indian cricketers need to sort out their priorites big time or the nation will pay for many years to come.

Sree almost turned the table in Nottingham! MSD played 2 back to back knocks! That Ishant's spell at Lords till Prior stepped in! Cook couldn't score any runs for 5 innings! All didn't happen?!?

How hard is for you to give credit to England and simply just say they were better!

Should I list you number of English cricketers who got injured during test series and are injured at the moment?

Suddenly India is just interested in T20, just because they lost? What are your opinions on England losing 5-0 in Ashes against Australia with very decent test side and didn't win ashes in Australia for 24 years till recently? What excuses do you have for England? Oh yeh, that's right Aus. were better.

You know what never mind time will tell ...

btw. FYI England technically didn't win anything last time they toured India either.

Whatever the result is, win, another LOSS or a tie, I do hope Dravid performs and he goes all out as it is his last ODI and deserves to go out in style so a win just for Dravid would be good.

He is a true great for the India team. So India should win this last ODI for Dravid. Of course a white-wash in the ODI Series would be great too but in the context of the game it would be harsh and unfair for Dravid to lose his final ODI before he retires from this format.

Its not a last series to remember but a great player like Dravid deserves to go out on a winning note.

On a serious note, they might actually play their best in this game because they know they have to go back home after this game, and they dont want to go without a single victory.

:))) What a terrible post, India were absolutely horrible for 90% of the games in this series, 'Sree almost turned the table' and 'Dhoni played 2 back to back knocks' ... most of your bowlers averaged above 40 in this tour (Harbie with 100 avg, Mishra following close behind) ... and your so called legendary Cuptaan went missing in the Tests (when it counted), and scored runs in the ODIs which you still lost.

Terrible team.

Bottom Line, You Guys Haven't Won A Single Match This Tour. Unless You Count The Warm Ups..
 
I think India are favourites to win today on a flat pitch against a depleted England team - but I hope they lose. It would be an appropriate end to the tour and make sure no cracks are papered over for the plane home.

Either way we all know what happens next - India win an upcoming ODI series at home and the pressure lifts on all the stars, as all is forgiven.

Hope that is not the case, and they are constantly reminded what happened to them in England. It will only make for a good upcoming series in India.

Hopefully, it isnt one-sided like this one.

Not gonna happen. We all know how cricket in India works. Comprehensive touring failures are brushed under the carpet for the sake of one more ODI series win, T20 circus or Tendulkar hundred.

Whoever is at the receiving end, I expect a fighting series. Just like that one match in the WC between these two sides.

No Morgan, Broad or Pietersen, probably the best players. They may rest a few more blokes too.

In ODI cricket, India have better bench strength than England. Depleted India are favourites v depleted England.

I hope most Indian fans are not like you. India has been absolutely smashed due to IN PART England's brilliance but the biggest reason is this Indian team's own shambolic performance. Being beaten by a better side is fair enough. But being hammered to the point where you are made to look like Bangladesh, all the while being the supposed number one team in the world, is just not acceptable.

We have been watching different series. I've been watching India's humilation, whilst you've sat there with rose tinted glasses pretending that India are still great, but just lost because England are amazing. Well I got news for you, Pakistan with bating legends Salman Butt and Imran Farhat, not to forget numbers 3 and 4 on debut, Azhar Ali and Umer Amin still managed to beat both Australia and England in a test match, playing against the same England team India is facing.

Swann will play a key role today, it's a good wicket in Cardiff. Batters should enjoy it.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, if ENG win this ODI, they move ahead of India in the ODI rankings too?

Didn't see a thread so thought I'd do the honours.

England won the toss and decided to bowl.

Will this be a good decision let us see.

Alot riding on India today, not won any games against England this series and would like to go home on a winning note.

Dravid who is a True Indian Great in my opinion and am sure alot of others, its his last ODI as he bows down from this format of the game.

In the context of the game, India should win this for Dravid who has been a loyal and amazing player for them for a very long time.

England: 1 Craig Kieswetter (wk), 2 Alastair Cook (capt), 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Ian Bell, 5 Ravi Bopara, 6 Jonny Bairstow, 7 Samit Patel, 8 Tim Bresnan, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 Steven Finn, 11 Jade Dernbach

India: 1 Ajinkya Rahane, 2 Parthiv Patel, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Virat Kohli, 5 Suresh Raina, 6 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 R Ashwin, 9 Vinay Kumar, 10 Munaf Patel, 11 RP Singh.


Score currently is: steady start 18-0 in 4 overs
 
Is the pitch playing up or India being cautious this is a very slow start

This slow start is going to cause undue pressure on Dravid, Dhoni n co as England proved anything below 300 and they can chase!

India need to post atleast 270 for a chance to go home on a winning note!

Really unlucky is Finn. Complete opposite to when he started out when it seemed like he was crap but still getting wickets.
 
What total is India looking for here?

Anything below 250 and its another loss.

Or are they depending on Dhoni and Raina for a late surge again?
