And how good would it be if we can hold the Poms off in their own territory, especially after all they've written about us this past half year?
Ikr they've been so smug and disrespectful, I would love to see us whitewash them.

Good to see Taylor being positive, thats the way the kiwis need to bat here.

Games nicely balanced at moment, Taylor needs to look to score a big 100 here...

Exactly, what was his average during the India tour you're referring to?

30ish probably, and an outstanding achievement for a swing bowler in India. He constantly knocked over India's top order, especially his bunny Tendulkar.

Ian Bell should have batted like Taylor

Bell is a mental pygmy. Has been fortunate to be 'carried' in the Poms' superior batting line-up with KP plundering a ton up-front, and Prior providing a safety net at the back-end of the innings.

Fine, I'll admit he's second to Steyn at the minute, but the context is that there aren't many good pacers around as in the old days.

It's tea.

KWill 11*
Rossco 32*

54/2 chasing 232 in the first dig.

I'll take that.

Taylor looking to be positive, its working so far.

NewZealand in a good position after losing the openers in quick succession.

Williamson is a wonderful player. Lets hope he along with Ross provides some entertainment in what has been a totally bland test match so far.

Another boundary, off Broad this time.

Taylor is looking so good that it'll be a shame if he doesn't notch up a 75 at least. Batting on 36 right now.

It's important that Williamson doesn't get into a shell at the other end though.

NZ need Taylor to stay there , if he stays there for another 15 overs , NZ will be in strong position.

This is how you approach the game when condition favour the bowlers rather than just playing the waiting game. Needless to say Confidence increases when you start connecting the ball.

Actually, should Ross get out now I'll actually consider sending in Macca and not Brownlie.

Long way to go yet , 150 odd still left for Poms to play with , one wicket can start the collapse

NewZealand Bowlers swinging it more than English Bowlers.
And the English attack consists of the English "Swing" king James Anderson.
That too in English conditions.

I reckon we will see Swann very soon, someone has to stop the NewZealand Attack.

They wanted to tire the Kiwi bowlers, but the kiwis kept their bowling line and length tight then again there were a few bad deliveries which weren't put away. The English batsmen were too cautious and they needed someone like Taylor, they missed KP who could have demoralized the bowlers. I am enjoying this Test match now:msd

Amen.

Indeed. KP is surely missed. Matt Prior didn't fire, so now plan may seem to have backfired.

taylor needs to understand that he can really get a big score here and put kiwis in command ..... not throw it away

Especially digged that sweep off Swann. Then the smack in the last delivery on the off-side against Broad.

Taylor is on a roll here.
