This could be a lowish scoring game. Great contest so far.

Sky commies are smart. Wasim is a bad commentator in general, but they are making him talking about bowling and bowling plans. And that is one thing you listen to if Wasim is talking.
He has been so lucky Abbas was very very unlucky. And the lbw review. If pak batsman was batting, umpire would have given in outCook is always so lucky against Pakistan![]()

We always seem to raise our game in England.
When we go to Australia or South Africa we're beaten before we even step foot on the field.
I was about to say - Wasim isn't our version of Benaud or Cozier but at least he'll provide bowling insights which is better than the cliche per minute from Rameez.
Consider that once these two bowlers go off, Aamir and Abbas follow, there’s no relief for England in the current situation
Shadab also there.
Not Shadab, keep the mystery there. Either Abbas or AamirThink Faheem needs a break..I would bring in shadab for a few overs..or give amir another burst before lunch.
Think, Mayan selection, while loyal, was misplaced

Agree. To be honest, Malan has always struck me as the archetypal county player...and he got rewarded for that with a call up. But not really cut out of international cricket.
He had one decent series in Australia, where he was made to look better than he is by the failure of all else around him. But whatever 'it' is that you need at the very top, he does not have it.
On the other side of the coin...who else would you bring in?
In any case, its only two tests against Pakistan. Expect him to feast on the Indian bowling later in the summer though.

nice flatter pitches in summer too so expect him to hit some runs..but I just dont see any real talent knocking on the door yet..can anybody confirm who is high on the county to england list atm?
Even Fahim looking threatening.
Any dropped catches so far?

No. Sarfraz has been excellent.
Rory Burns and Liam Livingstone would most likely be the next cabs off the rank.
England have never really replaced Strauss, Trott and Pietersen. IIRC they're even worse than us for being three down or more by 100.
Looks very good for me, could easily have picked up a wicket or two. English conditions are showing what he can do when he's not contending with flat tracks.
Need to get Cook out as hes getting a little anoying now. Hopefully at least 1 more wicket before lunch if not 2

Azhar still in slips though, so we might get a highlight yet![]()
8 fours for Cook that is too many and he has not even made 50 yet.
Quite uncharacteristic of Cook has to be said.
Just realised what was missing.
Where is Holding?
Or maybe you're just missing Ramiz?![]()
This is what I hate about Sarfaraz and pretty much all other Pakistan captains I have seen before him . . They don't know how to seize a game . .
Someone explain to me, why Faheem Ashraf your 4th/5th bowler has bowled a 6 over spell consecutively on a first morning in an early summer test match in England?! He did his job when he bowled a decent economical 4 over spell . . especially, when 3 wickets had fallen from the other end
