Don’t know why people are excited about Pakistan. They haven’t done anything special!!
 
3 wickets when you have been put in to bowl is a good session by anyone's standards.

On the other side though, Amir has been disappointing, and Cook looks solid.
 
Even session this one so far, pakistan need a few more wickets in 2nd hour after getting 3 in the 1st.

Both Bairstow and Cook extremely lucky today. Atleast 12-15 play and misses till now.
 
That last over from Amir was really good. Good signs for what he’s got in store after lunch

That's lunch and taking three wickets after being put into field is a decent session. We've bowled a good length with Hasan Ali the pick of the bunch.

However this is an important partnership we need to break early in the afternoon.

Stuart Broad has never been the same since he got hit on the helmet by the mighty Varun Aaron.
 
Important 2nd session for our bowlers we need to make early inroads during 2nd session and not let england settle,

key partnership here..if cook sticks around they could still get a big score especially if buttler and stokes bat around Cook we could be facing 450 plus quite easily.
 
Aggers on TMS sounds bitter. "Pakistan played well but they were given gifts by England". Can't use the " in these conditions" excuse this time.

May have been one over but the batsmen are able to pick Shadab effortlessly.

One gift..the other two were good deliveries. Aggers can be silly at times.

legspinners normally take a few overs to warm up..lets see if he can get some drift and turn. Hope he can fool them with his googly.

Yes, these days he is a tailender with a good eye for hitting fours instead of the bloke who got a test ton and eleven fifties.

The new bloke Bess is coming in above him.

Yeah not everyone can have a 1st ball in England like the guy in my avatar.

He’ll probably take 2-3 wickets max of 1 middle-order and 2 loser-order batsmen.

2nd innings is when it gets exciting.

I would have liked going to lunch with England four down... but this is not a bad result either
 
Nobody has mentioned that Cook has now tied Allan Border’s 30-year-record of 153 consecutive Test matches.

Nasser “Insane” Hussain worthy performance there.

Keep in mind Shady boy has only bowled one over... I'll give him four five overs to find his rhythm then God help England.
 
A lot of runs tend to come through gulley and 3rd man region at lords, a few streaky runs for bairstow before.
 
You've got to be kidding me Sarfaraz!! After 2 consecutive plays and misses and an edge for four, you send the gully to third man!! . . Gosh . .
 
Abbas tempting bairstow here. Our fielders need to be alert to a catch possibly coming up!
 
Both england batsmen arent 100% convincing but england starting to build an anoying little base here.

This is why I love the Dukes and also playing in England.

Compare this to the Kookaburra on a grassless pitch in somewhere like Australia where after 20 overs the ball does nothing and batsmen are making hundreds for fun.

Here you get a contest between bat and ball with batsmen having to work for their runs.

but we know we are getting bowled out for 50

so anything over 200 is game over
 
Amir's second spell has been really good . . . hopefully, he gets some reward for good bowling
 
Sarfraz is clearly over weight but somehow makes the team because he's the captain.

He should not be exempt from the required fitness levels. He can clearly do with some fat removal and transfer that with muscle mass.
 
Not many Pakistani fans in the ground today.

Ramadan does have a knock on effect on attending as you're covered all round with people drinking alcohol and eating.
 
Bairstow, Buttler and stokes all like to dominate with stroke play so pakistan bowlers need to keep a lid on things interms of scoring this afternoon.
 
How come Cook’s career is always on the line when he plays against us?

Gives him more motivation to perform.

Super annoying. Just get OUT.
 
Abbas has bowled 10 overs, 6 of which were maidens and has only gone for 16 runs. That is excellent pressure.
