Sarfraz's bowling changes has been top notch today.
Brought Hassan and he got 2 wickets, brought Faheem back and he got biggie Bairstow and now brought back Amir and he got Cook on 70.

Well done Sarfi!
 
PP Experts 'll say that's pathetic Amir took wicket in his 12th over..... crying and hate continues for Amir.

I can understand those people don't understand cricket/:ssmith
 
Pakistan really needed Yasir here, Shadab has been quite ineffective. Any chance Yasir comes back for the 2nd Test?

Why continue with Shadab with 2 new batsmen at the crease & one of them, being Buttler?
 
This is why Buttler was picked, playing his shots and counterattacking.

Take Shadab off.
 
Should bring Abbas from next over... Shadab not been effective or threatening.

he has bowled only 5 overs so far on first day.... you been watching too much t20, this is test cricket relax and be patient....

It’s the first innings on day 1 , in England on a seaming track . Watch him in the second innings .
 
Ideal to dismiss England below 250. Pitch will flatten out over the next few days and 350 is probably a gettable total for our inexperienced batting lineup, giving us a good lead to work with.
 
The danger of aggressive batsmen at the crease. If you just bide your time it may be too late by the time they get out

need to try abbas now..shadab is just relieving the pressure..at the least he should be trying to button up an end..

Yes, it is early days, but I do think Yasir would already have put some pressure on the batsmen.
 
Most dangerous partnership right now. Gotta get both of them quickly.
 
Either Shadab bowl super defensive and hold up one end, or he gets taken out of the attack because otherwise he is relieving too much pressure
 
Over rate is poor. Should have had nearly 60 by now. It's only 52 overs that are bowled till tea without any delay.
 
Amir looking really threatening this over. And it appears there is reverse swing on offer

This session was pretty even stevens... I'd say 55% to England. They lost 2 wickets and scored 93 runs. The difference has been Stokes fast innings
 
Just 52 overs in the first 2 sessions? Pakistan needs to hurry things, or Sarfaraz may get into trouble.

to be fair we have been attacking alot in this session to try and get wickets. At the start of play I would take this..the final session could see some fireworks with stokes and buttler letting lose a bit..

The "umpire's call" rule doesn't favor the batsman, it is neutral. If the batsman is given out, his challenge fails if it is an umpire's call, just like a bowler's challenge would fail if the umpire's decision was not out.
 
Uncle Boycks reckons 270 is par on this deck given the strong England seam attack.

It seems very poor for the umpire to give it OUT if it’s hitting the stumps just because he gave it out.

It should be regardless of the umpires decision.
 
250 is a good score on this wicket. Hopefully pitch behave same for next few days. Swinging a lot. Pak are lucky to be bowling first on this wicket.
