The problem with Umar Akmal is that even if he makes a sparkling 45, he will not digest the situation of the match. his nerves will not settle and he will not get less fidgety. And when he is just expected to keep a sane head, he will try to hit some extremely stupid and overambitious shot at the worst possible time. Captains are uneasy depending on players who do not read the match situation well. It is also pretty irritating if a player can't understand the mental side of the game even if he has decent shot making abilities. It is no wonder Umar Akmal has failed to endear himself to a conservative captain like Misbah.

As for Kamran, he is even worse. Just look into the collapses when the match was in the hand, and every time there is a collapse, Kamran Akmal will figure prominently in those collapses. Players like Kamran and umar may look pretty impressive in the nets but they just don't have the mental abilities to tough it out in pressure situations.
