Babars first ball dismissal has killed further interest in this already non interesting match. Was expecting atleast Babar could get a double ton.

Take your time and look to build a lead high enough that Zimbabwe can’t come back. Keep frustrating them like this I say target to bat till day 4 morning session.
 
Pakistan needs to take minimum 100 runs lead, they are verg much capable of throwing wickets in hurry.

Butt is not flamboyant he played such a slow innings against weak bowling attack.
 
Good session for Pak - got 100 runs as Zimbabwe bowlers are now toiling.

Maybe lost 1 wicket too many but at least they are taking the game forward..

Get another 100 runs in the final sessions and that will be curtains for Zimbabwe (and the wrist slitters in here).
 
If Pakistan don't get All Out , plan will be to take a lead by how many runs ? It's 85 runs lead right now.

He has a very good defensive technique, just when he drives outside off looks a bit loose. So he’s got a good defensive game, just needs to move his foot a bit closer when playing his shots. He deserves more games.

Why hasn't the new ball been taken?

Was available when Rizwan walked in - yet Pak batters have been allowed to just bat on against the old ball for a further 19 overs.
 
pakistan need to look to bat once here so just grind zimbos into dust. plenty runs to be had here.
 
Pakistan are completely dominating the match despite two back to back wickets of Azhar and Babar. Pakistan have played the match perfectly so far, riding any chance of collapse and slowly building into no lose position at first stage in their batting. Plenty of time to bowl out Zimbabwe.
 
Looks like Rizwan just batting foe stumps so he can comeback with bit more energy in the morning.

Another 100 runs I reckon and Zimbabwe are out of it. Just push the scoring rate as much as you can today, weather is bad tomorrow so want to push this today. However, regardless this match is decided.
 
There are chances of rain tomorrow so don't do tuk tuk Pakistan may not have enough time to bowl out Zimbabwe.
 
I hope Fawad gets his century today , lead will be closer to 170 by then . After that players can throw their bat around get a lead of 250-270 runs and bowl at Zimbabwe tomorrow or whatever it doesn't rain ..No point in huffing and puffing .
 
Big question for all M. Yousaf vs Younis Khan as batting coach. M. Yousaf has spent time with these lads and they are looking much more positive.

Yep. Fawad, Azhar, Imran and Abid all spent time with M. Yousaf in the Lahore camp and it looks to have made a positive difference. Regardless of the slowness in batting from some, what matters is runs at the end of the day and did you contribute.

Love Younis Khan but M. Yousaf for batting coach for me. Maybe even give Younis the head coach position.
 
When both Younis Khan and Yousaf K are both training the players currently how can posters deduce that Yousaf had trained them better than Younis. What is this agenda against Younis?
 
Fawad was half way for the 2nd run but Rizwan was barely reaching for 1st run..lol

He scored a 100 in NZ not long ago. Besides, I don’t think he will get another chance in SENA. We’re not due to tour there till after 2023, and by then I expect him to have retired and the likes of Saud or Kamran will come in for his spot.

He is 35 now (Real age)..... I think he can play 4-5 years more..

Let’s see. I highly doubt he’ll keep this up for 5 years.

After the next WTC cycle ends in 2023, Azhar and Fawad will both make way. They’ve got 3 easy (compared to SENA) away tours and the home series against the big boys. Then it’ll be time for Saud and co.
 
Have to give it to Zim players who are still making enough noise and backing their bowlers.

Yes, to be honest with the modern day fitness standards and more emphasis on that the playing age of players have definitely increased a bit. Especially for players who play one or so format.
 
Fawad is going nowhere for 3 to 4 years, surely Pak will arrange a tour to SENA in this period.
 
He's an inspirational character fawad. Has never been bitter at the great injustice been done to him. Full marks for the hunger and determination.

Yep, most definite. Pakistan should just look to play positive. Tomorrow might be a wash though.
