Game of Thrones [SPOILER ALERT]

You can hate Danny as much as you like, the show is all about her journey to Westeros. The one true ruler of the realm, stupid or whatever. Haters gonna hate but has kicked a lot of :butt and will keep doing so.

Ah freelance bhaijaan, we stand on opposite ends on this one, sorry but danny's gonna die, as the khals would say, danerys targerian- queen of no one :srini

well here comes the time that book readers wont have a clue on most of the story lines bar the R+L theories which the trailers just confirm beyond doubt.
hope the excessive sexualisation stops, probably wishful thinking, but regardless havent been this excited about a tv series for a while, even with Stannis gone

This is in the book or you are saying this because of the trailer.? the people who captured her seem like Kal Droh kind of people.

FYI the show has gone ahead of the book so there is nothing in the books which can spoil the show anymore

Meh.. not the best season premiers..

Quite boring if I'm terribly honest.

Just gonna wait for the whole season to end before I watch it this time. I caught up with the show and watched an episode a week last season and didn't enjoy it at all. This show was meant to be watched in one sitting.

Boring episode :jaya

The show has gone soft and become a little predictable - I mean you kinda know what to expect and that happens.

Another problem I have is that once a show isn't popular, only the purists watch it. Once it becomes mainstream, all the bandwagon enthusiasts join in and create a hyperbole. Things usually don't live up to the hyperbole.

Now whether I go on twitter, facebook, or somewhere else; there is always someone ready to shove their opinion about the show down my throat. The worst are the ones who have only discovered it over the coarse of last few years and have been only exposed to U.S. television where everything always ends up nicely.

I'm looking forward to Penny Dreadful more than this right now - a lot more.

That ending though. Season 4 was the best yet but season 5 was disappointing. I hope this is better

this season is going to be with the same snail pace.
now all we need to wait another 9 episode in this season so that Red Witch can bring back Jon snow alive.

as i have said it before.
10 episodes per season is not enough if they are going with the snail pace.
if they dont want to compromise on production quality thn its better to speed up the pace of the story.
or produce atleast 16 episode per season.

and i heard the next two seasons will be 7 to 8 episode per season ....
(unconfirmed report)

So the witch is like 150 years old. Big deal! I think some of us already suspected that. Now just revive Jon Snow already!

This season Starks are making a come back...But the real battle will be with the dead... Question is would that make living united, rather than keep fighting over throne? :13:

I can see Starks are needed to unite the living against dead!!

Well the whole end game of the show is men uniting against the White Walkers .. not just the Starks. that is where its going I think.

Towards the end, they will come to realize there is a greater threat to humanity and they will forget about fighting for the throne. by that time, all these so called villains will be gone, the boltons, the ugly lannisters, etc and we will probably have Tyrion, Khaleesi and Jon Snow left and they will join forces to defeat the white walkers. Of course before that we will have more deaths and destruction and what not.

Oh you know what I just realized. The Red Witch could be the same person who prophesied to Cersei in season 5.

Didnt enjoy the episode too much for some reason. The show has regressed post season 4. The last 2 episodes of season 5 were epic but other than that it was nothing compared to the first 4 seasons which were amazing. Breaking bad is the only show which got twice as good after every season right to the last season

Yes. GOT isn't as good as BB and it went downhill after season 1. Even the battle of blackwater wasn't that interesting.

To me, the episode where sansa's dire wolf was killed by Ned stark and the 2nd last episode where Ned stark was sentenced to death are two of the best episodes of this series.

I am not even planning to watch season 6 before it is done and I have nothing better to watch...seriously lost all the interest in that show since that Sansa rape scene that was added just to get social media response.

I think last best thing was that speech in the court room by Tyrion.

Have to agree with you. Or maybe the ending of the 4th season

What they wanna do is have a word with King Aragorn. He is buddies with the army of the dead and can play the mediator.

Same.

Was done as a believer in just ending.

This show is the most overrated show in the history of mankind. It is absolute garbage.

People watch it because their friends watch it.

The last scene with Melisandre was very intriguing.

Aye, it will be interesting to see how she copes with the loss of her faith.

Never really liked GoT, couldn't sit through the very first episode.

Ah, if you had watched to the end of that episode - the final half-minute - you would have seen the bit that hooked everybody!

Bran will come back into it. I reckon he will save the day by warging into the dragons, which evaporate the White Walkers. Hopefully Dani will rule, with Tyrion as Hand of the Queen and Bran as Warden of the North.

Interesting hints about the Lord of Fire being worshiped in Easteros too.....

Yes it seems like that will be down to her to do.

Jon Snow will be back. He and Dani will probably end up together and Tyrion will get the Iron Throne after all the mayhem, nobody would want the throne and Tyrion will accept the reponsibility with a promise to hold elections in two years. Varys will win the the elections and will become the prime minister, and he will kick the wildlings back out to the north of the wall and make them pay for it because it cost them gazillions of coins when they first built it years ago.

In all seriousness, we are too occupied with who wins the throne when the whole concept of the show is one where it shows it brings nothing but absolute power and with it, evil. The wildling leader has been saying it all along before we was killed off. He refused to bend his knee to Stannis and was burnt at the stake for it.

That alone right there tells us that there that the author is trying to make a point about the evils of absolute monarchy and touting democracy of some sort.

Some of the common reactions after every premier of almost every show are- this show is going down hill, it is getting boring, it is getting no where etc etc...

My namesake did OK as King. He wasn't a tyrant.

what are you talking about, Bob? He ran the whole country bankrupt. Its the Tyrell's money that kept it running. Tons of bad debts, credit swaps, etc etc. you know the drill. :)

No seriously, nobody has been good enough if I understand it right. Baratheon was running around spending money and fathering children with other women willy nilly.

I don't know whatever is wrong with people's expectations because this was frankly speaking the best season opening episode since Season 1 itself. Thoroughly loved it. The pace, the coverage, the twists, the ending. If an episode makes you wait for the other its good, this one was great.

My namesake did OK as King. He wasn't a tyrant.

Robert was a terrible king. The kingdom is in debt, totally sold himself to Tywin. Couldn't keep the family intact. All Baratheons dead, all friends gone. Such a waste of a King.

So true.

There is so much more to the show than who gets the throne because no one gets it forever anyway. It's in what or who brings unity to the seven kingdoms which is them realizing the greater threat of white walkers turning everyone dead cold.

Robert Barratheon managed to occupy the Iron Throne for 18 consecutive years. In GoT terms surely even this kind of longevity ranks as an achievement. lol

Kept it for so long that there's no Baratheon left anymore.

I admire Robert Baratheon as a military leader and warrior more so as a King. Also Robert's Rebellion was a large scale operation. It changed the whole scenario across Westeros so deeply it took those 18 years to settle the dust only. They wiped out the entire Targaryen dynasty and nearly wiped out the iron borns as well. With Ned, Jon Arryn, Stannis, Tywin all by his side no one was gonna stand up to him anytime soon.

It was 18 years of disaster that the kingdom is suffering from now.

You make it sound as if the targeryens were just and kingdom flourished under them.Truth be told Robert's rebellion was the greatest thing to happen to westeros. Those incestuous valyrians were only be able to sit on the thorne because of the dragons and nothing more. From maegor the cruel to baelor the blessed to the mad king aerys the targeryen kings did nothing but to loot the kingdom and indulge in their petty wars and disgusting eastern practices. dance of the dragons? blackfyre rebellion? the list goes on.

I think the books were always going there, the fact the show isnt doing young griff confirms to me he is a fake and that tyrion will be the third dragon in the books.

In the show i didnt know though, mainly because the only evidence for it uptill this point is 'you are no son of mine'.

THey haven't made a point of tyrion having different hair color or Twiyin's resignation as you mentioned,

After reading this leak though i reckon its happening. They probably need something to wow everyone since most have figured out R + L

Yeah probably a pawn in varys and mopatis scheme.what's interesting is though that they managed to fool connington and even tyrion while he was on the boat with them almost seemed convinced.
And yeah everything's almost clear now.can't wait for the book to arrive anymore now .show isn't as interesting as it used to be frankly.
What's your view on the night's king character in the show btw? books pronounced him dead a long time ago and doesn't seem like we would see his comeback anytime soon in the novels. And while we are at it where's benjen stark.it's as if veryone seem to have forgotten him.

I reckon the Nights king will come in the books. I feel all shows/adaptions need to have a visible villain to hate and fear, which is why the show has been prominent in showing the Nights Kings.

Its actually a bit like the Lord of the Rings films. Bit of an issue for a film where your main bad guy is a floating eye, Blacks Ghosts, or a wizard stuck in a tower. Thats why you see the character of Lurtz being created in First Film, and Gothmog going from a guy mentioned once in the books to having a few scenes in the Return of the King.

Regarding Benjen. I hope they haven't forgotten him. I always thought he was cold hands, but he is said to be 100s of years old.

Was expecting this all along.. good for Jon! I liked Tyrion's scenes more.. he's chemistry with Varys has been scintillating!

"You make dwarf jokes"
"No"
"You think them" :)))

The best one was when Tyrion told him its a good thing you're not a boy anymore. As soon as Varys showed some pride on his face at being appreciated as grown up, Tyrion said ''Because you have no ____"" :))) The instant change on Varys' face. :)))

Tyrion compensates for all the sadness around. Couldn't care about the entire Westeros if Jon and Tyrion are the only 2 men alive and everyone goes to death :)))

This week's "Home" was another absorbing episode. Just 8 more to go for the season and quite a few plots to unveil.

He was the leader of the Balrogs in the First Age, equal in rank to Sauron. I think the orc-chief to whom you refer took his name.

Yep, there was Orc chief that borrowed his name that was mentioned once in the return of the King book, but got an expanded role in the films

That Ramsay bloke is a Grade-A b****

Killed his father, step-mother and baby brother.

Can't wait for somebody to put the fear off God in this numb skull

Finally an episode game of thrones deserves and one that we need right now, all hail lord snow

Couldn't agree more. The bugger is one mean SOB and I want nothing but the worst for this abominable creature.

Don't understand the hate for Ramsay. He is one of the guys who makes the show interesting.. He should and will stay.. It will get boring of only good guys remain...

Yep, his cold-hearted brutality is what makes the show that much more visceral and compelling to watch. Still hate this character to the core (just like I used to hate Joffrey, few seasons ago).

I have a bad feeling i know what the 'gift' for ramsey will be in the next episode

Rickon

hear hear. The Imp and the Lord Commander. They drive the show. I am getting tired of the Khaleesi as well.

Jon Snow, Tyrion and Bran taking on THE WHITEWALKERS. That would be awesome!

Finally people are seeing the light, khaleesi needs to die, completely supporter the trio of jon snow, tyrion and bran, I will add arya to that list

WELL you never know. This show kills off the most favorite characters. I would not be surprised if one of them bites the dust before it settles.

Dont be surprised if Brienne takes care of him. Brienne of Tarth is one mean warrior, let me tell you. :)

I want a Stark to put a sword through Ramsay, because he has done qabza of their khandaani haveli..

Khaleesi has become boring as hell. I hope the Dothraki just kill her off. Couldn't care less.

OK.... people I care about.

Dani
Ser Jorah
The Imp
John Snow
Brienne
Reek
Davos
Cersei and Jaime, funnily enough (evil but with style)
The Hound, if he's still alive

People I don't care about:

Littlefinger
The Red Woman
Sansa
Arya
Bran
Sam
The Wildlings
The Ironbound
The Boltons
